Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”Lady Alice, is this the place where the Wolf God left his inheritance? We are also part of the Wolf Clan, why can’t we be here?” The man carrying the giant axe walked up to Alice, his face with a terrifying scar bearing a mocking smile.

”You have already betrayed the Wolf Clan, this place does not belong to you.” Alice’s expression was cold, and the Spiritual Energy within her began to surge wildly, causing the Cold Energy around her to gather toward her body.

Werewolf Kedun and Lightning, as well as the other Wolf Clan Warriors, were also prepared for battle. ”Betrayal?” Rio listened to Alice’s words and merely sneered, saying, ”We are the true Wolf Clan, while you are no longer true werewolves. This place is the inheritance left by the Wolf God, it is something we should have.”

As Rio spoke, the dozen tall Wolf Clan Warriors behind him also stepped forward, glaring fiercely at Alice’s werewolves.

There were subtle differences between the werewolves on both sides; Rio’s Wolf Clan Warriors were more wild, with gray fur on their faces and chests, and larger bodies.

On Alice’s side, the men appeared more human; without revealing their True Bodies through mutation, they were hardly different from ordinary humans.

The air grew tense, with the smell of gunpowder filling the atmosphere, as if a battle was imminent.

At this moment, a blonde youth from Rio’s Dark Wolf Clan walked out. Unlike the other werewolves, he looked no different from a human, and if not carefully observed, one could hardly detect the werewolf aura within him.

”Rio, we’re here for the Wolf God’s inheritance, not to fight,” the blonde youth said calmly.

”Yes, milord, but they...”

Rio was very respectful, even fearful of the blonde youth, casting a fierce glance at Alice’s werewolves. ”Alice, it’s been a long time. I didn’t expect you to have grown to this extent,” the blonde youth looked at Alice with an indifferent gaze, an expression that seemed ancient. Then he turned his eyes to Lin Mo, saying, ”Alice, if we fight here, only outsiders will benefit. How about we enter the Ice Hall together? If you can obtain the true inheritance of the Wolf God, we, the Dark Wolf Clan, are willing to acknowledge and submit to you.”

”Milord...” Upon hearing this, Rio furrowed his brow in confusion.

”No need to say more.” The blonde youth raised his hand, stopping Rio from continuing.

Kedun approached Alice and whispered, ”Miss, what should we do now?”

Both parties are ”Wolf Clan.” If they really fight, both sides will suffer, and only Lin Mo will benefit.

”Alright, let’s enter the Ice Hall together. Whoever gets the Wolf Clan inheritance, the other side will submit and surrender,” Alice hesitated for a moment, pondered briefly, and then spoke softly.

Lin Mo shrugged, realizing that if it weren’t for his presence, the two sides might already be fighting.

The blonde youth said, ”Let’s enter the Ice Hall together, and without my order, do not act rashly.”

Alice, Kedun, and their group entered the Ice Hall, while the other side, led by the blonde youth, followed with the Dark Wolf Clan into the ice domain.

”Lady Alice, do you really not trust me? Maybe I could help you.”

Lin Mo walked beside Alice, smiled, and suddenly said.

Alice turned to glance at Lin Mo, then said, ”I agreed to let them enter not just because you’re here, but because the power of that blonde youth is terrifying...” Even without Alice’s words, Lin Mo could feel it more clearly. The blonde youth looked only about twenty years old but bore an ancient aura, elusive and giving Lin Mo a sense of ’danger.’

Lin Mo remained silent. The group arrived at the Ice Hall’s massive gate, towering hundreds of meters high, with a total of one hundred and eight steps leading directly into the hall. The steps were semi-transparent, as if sculpted from ice.

Seeing this ice sculpture from afar was one thing, but up close, one couldn’t help but marvel at its majestic and magnificent craftsmanship.

”Is the Wolf God’s inheritance inside?”

Alice gazed at the magnificent Ice Hall, eyes filled with longing.

”Alice, let’s see who can obtain the Wolf God’s inheritance!” The blonde youth glanced at Alice, then led his group to leap directly towards the palace hall.

”What’s happening?”

Suddenly, the group fell to the ground, even the blonde youth of unknown strength, who exuded a dangerous aura, tumbled onto the ice steps.

”There’s a Prohibition here, no flying, only walking,” the blonde youth frowned and said.

The group had no choice but to ascend on foot. Alice clenched her fists, and Lin Mo journeyed with her slowly up the steps.

At that moment, everyone sensed something amiss.

The steps felt increasingly oppressive, as an inexplicable pressure surged from all directions. Even lifting a foot became strenuous and laborious.

”I can’t move anymore.”

”I can’t move either...” Many Wolf Clan Warriors couldn’t take another step by the thirtieth step, only a few of the stronger ones could keep going, though their movements grew stiff and difficult, as if weighed down by lead, requiring all their Spiritual Energy and True Yuan to forge ahead.

By the hundredth step, even the Wolf Clan genius Kedun began to uncontrollably tremble. An unknown force suppressed his body, making his bones creak audibly.

”Thud!”

Werewolf Kedun dropped to one knee, like a boulder crashing down, creating spiderweb-like cracks on the semi-transparent ’ice crystal’ steps.

”Kedun, if you can’t hold on, head back.” Alice looked back at him, frowning, and said.

”No, I can make it, I refuse to believe I can’t climb these steps.” Werewolf Kedun gritted his teeth, as if about to crush them, his body began to swell, tearing through his clothes with a rip. His muscular arms grew thicker by two folds, and his head transformed into that of a wolf, opening its mouth to howl, baring sharp teeth, his body covered in gray fur, he stood again.

Alice furrowed her brow. Having grown up with Kedun, she knew his temperament. At the one hundred and second step, only werewolf Kedun, Alice, Lin Mo, the blonde youth, and Rio from the Dark Wolf Clan remained, as Rio finally could not hold on and kneeled at the one hundred and first step.

Wonderful, to be continued tomorrow.
