Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

The disciples of the Purple Cloud Sect who were swept by his gaze all bowed their heads, looking distressed.

”Also, return these three people to the Purple Cloud Sect.” Lin Mo smiled, releasing the three people bound behind him with the Spiritual Energy ropes.

”You three better apologize to Chen Ying and return to the sect for six months of confinement.” The Great Elder spoke sternly.

”Sorry, Sister Chen Ying.”

The three cupped their hands towards Chen Ying, then swiftly transformed into three streaks of Flowing Light and flew towards the island.

”Chen Ying, you return with me as well.” Elder Tang’s face was ashen, looking extremely displeased, and he scolded sternly.

Chen Ying was his disciple, yet she had mingled with Lin Mo, making him feel disgraced.

Chen Ying glanced at Lin Mo and softly said, ”Mr. Lin, I will return to the sect first.”

After speaking, Chen Ying also flew into the island along with Elder Tang and the others.

”Doesn’t the words of the Great Elder of the Purple Cloud Sect count?” Lin Mo said with a half-smile, staring at the Great Elder.

”Hmph, although the Purple Cloud Sect isn’t a Supreme Force, it is a Major Sect. We stand by our words, follow me.” The Great Elder snorted coldly, then transformed into a streak of Flowing Light and flew towards the island below the sea surface.

Lin Mo’s mouth curved into a faint smile and he instantly transformed into a streak of Flowing Light, following the Great Elder towards the island.

The island was dotted with numerous classical buildings, including ancient courtyards, towering palaces, pavilions, and towers, resembling a secluded Immortal Realm, with cranes singing long, and exotic flowers and grasses emitting fragrance.

The Great Elder led the way at the front, Lin Mo followed behind, carefully observing the entire Purple Cloud Sect. Compared to the Nine Continents Secret Realm, this sect, which had accumulated thousands of years of resources, was undoubtedly much stronger.

”I wonder when the Nine Continents Secret Realm will become such a sect,” Lin Mo couldn’t help but think.

”We’ve arrived.”

The Great Elder’s voice interrupted Lin Mo’s reverie. Lin Mo pulled back his thoughts, as he and the Great Elder had arrived at a solitary peak, in front was a gigantic Stone Gate, a hundred meters high and a hundred meters wide, perfectly square, jet black like jade, with golden tadpole-like Secret Patterns floating atop the gate, faintly forming a Barrier.

It was apparent how important the Purple Sun Fire was to the Purple Cloud Sect.

Two black-robed disciples stood at the Stone Gate. Seeing the Great Elder and Lin Mo approaching, they bowed and cupped their hands, saying, ”Greetings, Great Elder.”

The Great Elder snorted lightly, formed a Dharma Seal with his hand, and placed a black Jade Pendant into the groove of the Stone Gate.

Rumble...

The Stone Gate made a violent sound and slowly opened from the middle, revealing a black passage.

”If you’re not afraid I might harm you, then come with me.” The Great Elder walked directly into the passage without looking back.

”The Purple Cloud Sect is a Major Sect. How would it play such petty tricks? Moreover, even if there’s an abyss ahead, I must go in.”

Lin Mo smiled faintly, carrying the Xuanyuan Sword, unhurriedly following behind the Great Elder.

Seeing Lin Mo enter, the two disciples in charge of guarding the Purple Sun Fire displayed puzzled expressions. To know that the Purple Sun Fire could only be seen by a few elders of the sect, who was this fellow?

The black passage wasn’t completely dark; the stone walls glowed with green fluorescence, faintly illuminating the passage, but the temperature inside was obviously much lower than outside, the skin felt a cool refreshing sensation.

Walking about a hundred meters, they arrived at a quiet room, entirely constructed with special stones, and in the center was a massive triangular tripod furnace, jet black throughout, engraved densely with mystical runes.

”The Purple Sun Fire takes thirty years to recover once used. Usually, unless for refining important Magic Artifacts and Elixirs, even my Purple Cloud Sect wouldn’t dare use it recklessly.” The Great Elder said, casting a talisman that fell onto the tripod furnace.

Boom!

Suddenly, a blaze of purple Flames emerged from the mouth of the tripod furnace, like a splendid blooming flower. Even from a distance, one could clearly feel the intense heat emanating from the Flames.

”After using it, leave on your own. If you plan to covet the Purple Sun Fire of my Purple Cloud Sect, hmph.”

The Great Elder left a remark, heading straight out of the passage.

Soon followed the rumbling sound again, presumably the sound of the Stone Gate closing. Lin Mo’s face remained calm, once again focusing on the purple Flames on the tripod furnace. He wasn’t worried about the Purple Cloud Sect daring to plot against him, for if the sect truly wished to deal with him, it would have already acted earlier, certainly not bringing him

here.

”The Purple Sun Fire is merely Earth Rank fire. It’s far weaker than the Demon Cold Flame and Ghostly Compassionate Netherfire.”

Lin Mo shook his head.

The Purple Cloud Sect was still worried he might steal the Purple Sun Fire, unaware that Lin Mo’s soul had two supreme flames. Although Lin Mo wasn’t certain of the grade of the Demon Cold Flame and Ghostly Compassionate Netherfire, they both became part of his soul. As his Power of Soul and cultivation grew, the might of the two flames would also increase, potentially ”upgradeable flames” that might one day become Heaven Rank fires, or even surpass Heaven Rank

fire’s existence, which isn’t impossible.

All of this however, depended on Lin Mo’s own strength.

”The Purple Sun Fire, I can finally refine the Soul Condensing Pill for my mother.”

For once, Lin Mo’s face showed a touch of childlike innocence.

Though the Purple Sun Fire wasn’t of supreme flame quality, it was indeed one of the best flames for refining the Soul Condensing Pill. This flame had decent power and wasn’t too overbearing to damage the efficacy of medicinal materials.

Lin Mo didn’t hastily proceed but, having painstakingly collected the Five Elements Pure Attributes, had to be cautious, focusing all efforts to succeed once. He couldn’t afford to fail now.

Therefore, Lin Mo first hovered beside the tripod furnace, casting a Lotus Throne in the air, then slowly extended a thread of Divine Thought towards the Purple Sun Fire, needing to grasp the fire to precisely control its power during alchemy.

Alchemy, Array, Artifact Refining, creating Magic Scrolls are recognized by the Cultivation World as the most challenging professions, with alchemy being the hardest. A slight mistake could waste materials, resulting in total failure.

Hence, Lin Mo had no choice but to proceed cautiously.

...

Purple Cloud Sect, main hall.

”Master, I’m sorry, disciple has disgraced you. I’ve also brought such humiliation upon the Purple Cloud Sect, I should atone with my life.”

A young girl in a purple dress knelt in the palace, drawing a treasure sword from its scabbard. Suddenly, with a clanging sound, a streak of True Qi struck the sword, causing it to fly from the girl’s hand and fall onto the stone slab in the hall with a clear sound.

This young girl was none other than the genius girl Luo Yu’er of the Purple Cloud Sect.

”This matter isn’t your fault. Even if not for you, Lin Mo would still come to our Purple Cloud Sect for the Purple Sun Fire.” The Great Elder sitting on a wooden chair shook his head lightly and said. ”But...” Luo Yu’er clenched her tender fists, her beautiful face filled with anger, ”But that guy dared to suppress me, and even threatened you into giving him the Purple Sun Fire.”

To be continued tomorrow.
