Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”Alright, brothers, let’s perk up and get ready to move out.” Luke stood up and clapped his hands.

David licked his lips and said, ”The thing I just bought will finally come in handy.”

Saying this, David walked into the room and soon came out with a rectangular black wooden box. It looked quite heavy, but to David, this weight was as light as a feather.

”If possible, I’d like to take them out with one shot to prevent any unnecessary trouble.” Luke’s lips curled into a sinister smile as he saw the wooden box on David’s back.

The group left the hotel and soon reached the rooftop of a skyscraper about 70 floors high.

”Hehe, let me show you the good stuff I just got from the black market.” David placed the wooden box down from his back, opened it up, and inside lay some dark metal parts that gleamed with a chilling black sheen under the moonlight, sending a chill down one’s spine.

”Dark Barrett Evolver—x2. Rumored to be something even the military dares not use. Combined with armor-piercing bullets, it can penetrate any armored vehicle and Type 2 heavy tank, almost straight through.”

Beiyuan River slowly said, ”Hehe, you have a keen eye. I worked hard to get this item, and although its power is tremendous, the recoil is too great for an ordinary person to handle. An average person using this heavy sniper could have their shoulder blown to bits by the recoil alone.” David showed a proud expression on his face.

David is a Gold Element Superpower User whose entire body can be reinforced like steel, naturally able to withstand the tremendous recoil of such a sniper rifle.

”Moreover, after my modifications and with my superpower, the power is boosted by at least three times. Even if it’s an SSS Superpower User, if they’re not careful, I can pierce their head with a single bullet.” As David spoke, he began to assemble the gun.

Both Beiyuan River and Luke looked at the dark contraption on the ground with some apprehension. For an assassination, this sniper rifle was simply a divine artifact.

The process of assembling the sniper rifle was quite complex and troublesome. Once put together, the length exceeded one and a half meters, and when mounted on the rooftop, the gun’s cold, dark luster was even more terrifying.

Usually, it must be disassembled to carry. Therefore, it must be assembled on-site every time it’s used. Fortunately, David was already adept at handling it, completing the assembly in just a few minutes.

”Beiyuan River, Yumiko, you two head to the bar first. I’ll stay here to assist David, hoping to take care of the target in one go,” Luke said. Beiyuan River and Yumiko nodded, lightly leaping off the rooftop. From a height of about 200 meters, free falling would surely turn them into pulps, but it seemed they had some wind swirling around their bodies, lightly landing in an empty alley.

Beiyuan River and Yumiko exchanged a glance. Yumiko gracefully took Beiyuan River’s arm, and the two of them, like an ordinary couple, slowly walked toward the bar entrance. Yumiko turned back to cast a bewitching smile at the high-rise behind them.

”Hope we can take down the target in one shot; otherwise, if another assassin organization finds the target, they might snatch our prey.” Beiyuan River lowered his voice, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

...

”Alright, I just called him; he should be here soon.” Sikong Lianyan put the phone back into her small bag and said.

”Hmm, I’ll wait for him,” Lin Mo nodded.

In less than five minutes, a young master from the Hong Family, who was playing around nearby with friends, rushed over as soon as he received the call.

”Hehe, you used to ignore me, and now you’re reaching out to me on your own.”

A young man in a black, tailored suit, hands in pockets, had a devil-may-care smile on his face.

”Young master, this Sikong Family has come to apologize to the Hong Family specifically for the headquarters, and it’s possible the Sikong Family might be devoured by our Hong Family, so...” said a middle-aged man with thick eyebrows and big eyes, following behind the young man.

”I know everything you’ve said, but whether we marry Sikong Lianyan or devour the Sikong Family, they will eventually become assets of our Hong Family. It’s just a slow process.” The young man said calmly, ”Besides, Sikong Lianyan is very beautiful, and I’m quite interested in her.”

”Alright, young master, just mind your manners,” the middle-aged man nodded.

The young man was Hong Han, a member of one of the four great families of Hongmen.

Hongmen’s power overseas was formidable, and members from the four great families were core council members of Hongmen. Among the families, the Hong Family ranked second, with six councilmen, also the top family in Phoenix City.

”Sikong Lianyan, I never thought you’d bow down to me,” Hong Han clenched his fist, excitement flashing across his face, as he strode into the bar.

”He’s here,” Sikong Lianyan nodded towards the entrance.

Hong Han also spotted Sikong Lianyan at once and strode over, only discovering now that there was a man sitting next to Sikong Lianyan, previously obscured by a pillar.

”Hmm?”

Hong Han frowned.

”Young Master Hong,” Sikong Lianyan flashed a bright smile.

The Sikong Family came this time precisely to make amends. With the help of the Hong Family, the Sikong Family wouldn’t suffer too much loss, so Sikong Lianyan was especially courteous to Hong Han.

However, Sikong Lianyan knew that Hong Han was a playboy who had ruined many girls, making her disdain him deeply.

”Lianyan, I never thought you’d personally invite me out for a drink,” Hong Han sat in a chair, the middle-aged man behind him standing ramrod straight like a javelin.

The middle-aged man casually glanced over Lin Mo without a ripple of interest. This young man was utterly ordinary, with no remarkable traits.

”This is your place, Young Master Hong. How could I not invite you for a drink when I’m in your territory?” Sikong Lianyan said and snapped her fingers, calling over a waiter to order a cocktail.

Lin Mo only glanced at Young Master Hong briefly before his gaze drifted to the bar’s entrance, where a couple had just walked in and taken a seat with their backs to him.

Throughout it all, the couple never seemed to look his way, but Lin Mo’s divine sense was incredibly powerful now. Within the dark, void-like depths, this couple exuded blood energy, clearly having ended many lives.

”Lianyan, is this your friend?” Hong Han’s eyes fell on Lin Mo, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

”Yes, let me introduce you—Lin Mo,” Sikong Lianyan said with a gentle smile.

The smile was evocative, enough to dazzle Hong Han momentarily. After all, Sikong Lianyan was the daughter of the Hongmen Sect Leader, and her beauty and aura could not be matched by an ordinary woman. Conquering such a woman would indeed bring a sense of accomplishment.

”Lin Mo?”

The middle-aged man standing behind Hong Han faintly frowned, feeling as though he’d heard the name somewhere before but couldn’t recall at the moment.

Hong Han eyed Lin Mo with contempt, thinking: Still called Lin Mo, huh? He looks utterly unremarkable, where’s the extraordinariness?
