Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Like this Elder Ghost who’s just a Basic-level Martial Emperor, Lin Mo couldn’t care less about any treasures he might possess.

After everything was done, and after Lin Mo had left, the place looked as if it had been swept by a hurricane—buildings collapsed, and bodies lay scattered everywhere. He had already extracted memories from one soldier’s mind, so he naturally did not need Elder Ghost to guide him anymore.

New Russia had approximately the population of a small province in Huaxia, with about 200,000 troops. Indeed, the Blood Prison Organization was quite a headache for the United States as well; if not for considering the stance of the United Nations and other major countries, the US Army would have annihilated Blood Prison long ago.

However, restrained by the US Army and some other contemporary superpowers, Lin Mo was not afraid, as he, alone, did not represent the actions of a nation.

Such slaughter by Lin Mo would certainly lead Blood Prison’s people to receive intelligence and send someone to kill him soon.

Thus, Lin Mo was not in a rush to travel; his next destination was a city named ’Chilofa’. If he guessed correctly, this city would be heavily guarded by numerous soldiers waiting for him.

Lin Mo intentionally wanted to escalate the situation, to intimidate those from New Russia and Russia. In the future, upon encountering Huaxia people, they would understand just how terrifying and formidable Huaxia people could be!

Chilofa New City, with a population of about one million, had modern military equipment and weapons as well as local architecture—all of which were the most top-notch in New Russia, equivalent to a second or third-tier city within the country.

Of course, what was most famous here was the Ciprata Theater, currently the largest tourist attraction in New Russia. This place had previously housed council halls, amphitheaters, markets, streets, and the temple of the Apollo God, filled with local cultural charm.

The old woman responsible for cleaning the temple usually had a simple day but was unexpectedly told by her leaders to take the day off. As she left, she saw a large number of soldiers emerging from a base near the ruins, and even several tanks and armored vehicles majestically rolling out.

”God, is a war going to start again?” Terrified, the old woman knelt on the ground and muttered a prayer.

It wasn’t just her; soon, the entire army moved to a plain 20 kilometers outside Chilofa City, which was ideal for land warfare.

This time, the command to organize the battle came from a Vice Admiral named General Talorqi, a native of Chilofa City of Russian descent, of whom the whole family was proud.

”General Talorqi,” spoke a perfectly upright adjutant next to him, ”one H2 tank and three armored vehicles are in position, ready to set up the battlefield.”

Talorqi nodded and stood in the command vehicle using binoculars to observe the vast expanse ahead, where there was nothing to be seen. ”Headquarters is making a mountain out of a molehill. It’s just a small Rasha outpost that was destroyed—such things are common, aren’t they? They are deploying an entire division’s force to defend here; if that little troop dares to come over, I’ll make them cry for their mothers.”

Next to him, the adjutant, with an expression full of complexity, informed, ”General, the military command has sent information that the attack on the Rasha outpost was carried out by a single person, apparently a young man from Huaxia!”

Upon hearing his adjutant’s words, Talorqi paused for a moment before responding sternly, ”What did you say, a single person wiped out the entire army at Rasha?”

”I fear he must be a Martial Arts Master. Rasha was equipped with the latest weapons, and yet they were annihilated by a young man from Huaxia,” the adjutant said with a sigh, his eyes filled with a tinge of worry.

”Hmph, I have a reinforced division here, totaling five or six thousand men, with the latest tanks and armored vehicles specifically designed to counter Martial Arts Practitioners. Are we still supposed to be afraid of him? Besides, with Blood Prison’s higher-ups suppressing the Temple, if he comes here, he’s surely headed down a dead end,” Talorqi scoffed.

New Russia has mostly plains, unlike Huaxia, where if powerful individuals hide in densely populated cities, deploying heavy weaponry would be impossible.

Twenty li from the base, a cold teenager of about seventeen or eighteen slowly walked across a lush green prairie, with the occasional giraffe and hare which grazed nearby.

Just then, an off-road vehicle appeared on the horizon and sped towards him, slowed down, and a woman popped her head out and asked the cold youth, ”Are you from Huaxia?”

The teenager stopped walking, gave them a bland glance, and nodded.

”Both strangers in a strange land, I didn’t expect to encounter a compatriot from Huaxia.” The woman, visibly excited, wore a brown trench coat, sported long black hair, glasses with black frames, had a scholarly appearance, and was quite attractive.

”Are you also heading to Chilofa New City? If so, why don’t we give you a ride?” The woman offered proactively.

The man driving, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, frowned slightly, clearly displeased as he muttered, ”Qingzhu, there are many bad people abroad, and since we don’t know him, perhaps we shouldn’t—”

”He’s also from Huaxia; don’t assume the worst of others,” the woman glared at him then smiled at the youth, ”By the way, I’m Qingzhu, a graduate student in the journalism department at Modu University. What’s your name?”

”Lin Mo.”

Lin Mo assessed the woman and thought she seemed decent. Since he was heading to Chilofa anyway and having some company on the way wouldn’t be too boring, he agreed to join them.

Throughout the trip, the woman chatted with Lin Mo, from whom he learned that she and the young man were both graduate students in the journalism department at Modu University, accompanying their teacher on this trip to cover international news and hoping to interview some of the local warlords.

Inside the car was an older man with some white balding hair – their teacher, Chen Yulin. The young man driving was named Huang Rui. The vehicle was also filled with several recording pens and various filming equipment.

”By the way, why are you walking to Chilofa alone?” Qingzhu looked at Lin Mo, her gaze filled with curiosity.

”I have some matters to handle and was planning to meet with their highest leader, to have a chat,” Lin Mo replied indifferently.

”Pfft!” Qingzhu immediately burst out laughing, ”You’re going to ’have a chat’ with them? How humorous! Do you even know what kind of people they are? Brutal and completely indifferent to human life—We had to use a lot of connections just to get a chance to interview them, and we still have to be extremely careful, or we might lose our lives.”

”Such a blowhard,” muttered Huang Rui, who had taken a dislike to Lin Mo, and upon hearing his boast, he couldn’t help but laugh coldly under his breath.

Chen Yulin, being quite old, had been resting with his eyes closed during the ride, not speaking to or concerning himself with Lin Mo. Suddenly, he sensed the car stop and opened his eyes, ”Huang Rui, why aren’t we moving? Have we arrived?”

”Teacher, there...” Huang Rui stammered.

Chen Yulin put on his reading glasses and stuck his head out the window, his mouth gaping open in horror.

Ahead, a row upon row of troops surrounded the city like a wall just half a kilometer ahead. There were even several latest model tanks and three armored vehicles, with a well-prepared army of about five thousand soldiers seemingly facing a very dangerous enemy.
