Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 1307: Chapter 1306: I Never Expected Aunt Zhou to Be Like This

”Come on everyone, tell me, don’t you think they’re playing a trick on me? Last night I went over to talk to them about a match for Tara, and they told me Tara didn’t have a boyfriend. Now all of a sudden she has one this morning. What am I supposed to do? I’ve already talked to the man’s family, and they’re waiting over there.”

Aunt Zhou’s mouth was not to be underestimated—how could she let this go so easily?

In an instant, many people began to chatter.

”I have a boyfriend now, so obviously I’m not going on a blind date. Should I lie and say I don’t have a boyfriend?”

Tara Jameson couldn’t stand people pointing fingers and gossiping about her parents, so she spoke up immediately.

”Lying? Don’t try to twist words with me. I know you’ve had more education, but do you think you’re making sense right now?”

Listening to her words, Tara stood there, her lips twitching.

”I don’t need to make sense; I have a boyfriend now and I’m not going on a blind date.”

”Look at you, child, how can you break your promise to someone like this?”

Aunt Zhou was extremely anxious, especially since everything had already been discussed with the man’s family.

”Who did you introduce her to?”

Charles Northwood frowned deeply, wanting to kick this Aunt Zhou out directly, but he couldn’t do it.

He couldn’t embarrass his future in-laws.

”My colleague’s son, he’s a chef, twenty-six years old this year.”

Aunt Zhou spoke with irritation, actually not wanting to pay attention to Charles Northwood, but with so many neighbors watching, she couldn’t lose her temper completely.

Charles Northwood nodded and directly took out his phone to make a call.

”Yes, a chef.”

Charles Northwood asked the Secret Division’s intelligence department to investigate this man’s background, and soon, the investigation was complete.

After he hung up the phone, Charles Northwood frowned and looked at Aunt Zhou.

”The person you want to introduce her to is called Leon Thompson, right?”

Upon hearing Charles Northwood accurately state the man’s name, Aunt Zhou was taken aback for a moment.

”Yes, how do you know?”

Hearing her admit it, Charles Northwood sneered.

”Leon Thompson, indeed a chef, but just a cook at a small restaurant and his dishes are mediocre. It’s reported that while he was at Culinary School, he didn’t even get his diploma.”

”What? That can’t be right!”

Tara’s mom was shocked to hear Charles Northwood say this; Aunt Zhou had praised the man to the skies before.

How did he suddenly become like this here?

”He... he didn’t get a diploma, but you can’t measure a person by their diploma these days. The school didn’t give him a diploma because there was an issue with the school at the time, some incident happened back then.”

Aunt Zhou quickly began to explain, but the surrounding neighbors were already quite disapproving of her conduct.

If you’re helping someone find a partner, a bit of embellishment is fine, but you can’t hide the truth.

”He’s under one seventy meters tall, but weighs over one hundred eighty pounds.”

Charles Northwood wasn’t prejudiced against heavier individuals. It’s just that this kind of person, without even needing a picture, he knew was nowhere near a match for Tara Jameson.

Hearing Charles Northwood say this, Tara’s expression changed too.

It can’t be that exaggerated, right?

Doesn’t that mean he’s obese...

”I told their family before that his height isn’t impressive.”

”But you didn’t mention he weighs this much.”

Tara’s mother was anxious; wasn’t this man trying to harm her daughter?

Tara Jameson isn’t an unattractive person—they’ve been deceiving her.

And to think they said he was a good match for Tara Jameson before—where’s the match?
