Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 1247: Chapter 1246: I’m Hitting You

Maxwell Peary didn’t pay attention to Anne Davidson’s voice, but instead, he looked Nia Mitchell up and down to see if she was hurt.

”Uncle, I’m fine.”

Realizing what Maxwell was doing, Nia Mitchell quickly spoke up and then tousled her hair.

”That’s good.”

Maxwell finally felt relieved and reached out to pinch her chubby little cheek.

”You all can leave now.”

Looking at the room full of maids, Maxwell spoke.

Frederick Goldsmith nodded and led all the servants away, leaving the living room for the three of them.

Anne Davidson stood by the sofa, watching their interaction, feeling very uncomfortable inside.

”Maxwell!”

After calling out once more, this time, Maxwell finally lifted his head and focused his gaze on her.

”Come sit over here.”

Maxwell reached out to take Nia Mitchell’s hand, leading her to the sofa.

At this moment, Nia Mitchell was very obedient, doing whatever he instructed her to do, completely unlike how she faced Anne earlier.

Anne Davidson frowned, thinking she was the only one who could change her face so quickly, but she didn’t expect Nia Mitchell to be even quicker.

It’s clear, Maxwell must have been fooled by Nia Mitchell.

”Maxwell, you see, I just came over to discuss something with you, and I didn’t expect her to treat me like this.”

As she spoke, Anne Davidson’s tears fell, the salty tears stinging slightly as they passed over the small scars on her face.

She never expected Nia Mitchell to be so fierce.

”What are you doing here?”

The villa doesn’t welcome Anne Davidson, especially since she did what she did last night.

Silvia Waterborne is one of his taboos.

Anne knew this before, yet she still shamelessly touched his taboo now, clearly indicating she doesn’t want to lead a good life.

”I came to discuss something with you. I used to think that even if you were to marry an ordinary woman with no background and no status, at least she would be cultured and worthy of you. But just look at what happened today, look at me, look at my face.”

Saying this, she covered her face and sat there crying as if she had suffered an immense grievance.

”It’s your fault, that’s why I hit you!”

Hearing her persistent complaints, Nia Mitchell got furious again.

Fortunately, Maxwell Peary held her back, otherwise, Nia Mitchell would have rushed out again.

”Maxwell, look at her, she’s just like this. If you weren’t here stopping her, I might have been beaten again.”

Anne Davidson now looked like a perfect victim, sitting there crying like a fragile flower in the rain.

Under normal circumstances, people would comfort her and stand up for her.

But is Uncle a normal person?

Listening to Anne Davidson’s accusations, Nia Mitchell rolled her eyes.

”Of course, I’m going to hit you. You came to my house to speak ill of me, and said I was a mistress, and that my mother-in-law was a mistress too. You’re lucky I didn’t beat you to death.”

Nia Mitchell, fuming, turned to look at Maxwell Peary seated next to her,

”Uncle, she came running here calling me a mistress and even said my mother-in-law was a mistress.”

She’s obviously courting death with this behavior.

If she didn’t fight back, wouldn’t Anne think that Nia Mitchell was easy to bully?

Hearing Nia Mitchell’s words, Maxwell Peary’s expression immediately darkened. He turned to look sharply at Anne Davidson sitting opposite.

”Did you say this?”

His tone carried unprecedented danger, making one shiver involuntarily.
