Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 1225: Chapter 1224: The Auction Begins

Regarding partners, clearly, she couldn’t continue being cold towards them.

”I’ve been a bit busy lately and momentarily forgot.”

Alan Morgan spoke, offering an explanation for his previous oversight.

”No worries, I just didn’t expect Mr. Morgan to appear at today’s auction.”

Harmony Hughes resumed her prior graceful demeanor, standing there with a glass of wine.

The auction hadn’t officially started yet, so almost everyone was in the outer hall, with no one seated inside.

”The company has been so busy these days, utterly exhausting, and I originally didn’t want to come to today’s auction. But somehow, I felt I couldn’t miss this. It seems fate doesn’t want me to miss you, Mr. Morgan.”

Harmony stood there with an impeccable smile on her face.

The words she spoke made Alan Morgan instantly understand her meaning.

But, many times, even when you understand this layer of meaning, you can only pretend as if you don’t know anything.

”If you’re tired, you should rest; your health is the real asset.”

Alan Morgan said casually, though he was indeed refuting her so-called fate.

The meaning in his words was a rejection of her.

However, since it wasn’t a blatant rejection, Harmony chose not to take it to heart.

”Has Mr. Morgan eyed anything today? Let me know in advance, so I don’t inadvertently take away what you love.”

Harmony had this way of saying improper things in a very serious tone.

This made Alan Morgan quite troubled, somewhat unable to deal with it.

”The auction has started!”

Suddenly, someone emerged from the inner room and shouted.

”Sorry.”

Alan Morgan casually placed his wine glass down and stepped away.

Watching Alan Morgan’s departing figure, Harmony raised her eyebrows.

Such a unique man.

Previously, when she was signing the contract, she noticed this man, who often seemed secluded in his world, indifferent to the outside.

Every time he appeared like that, he was shrouded in sadness.

It seems he’s a man with stories.

Thinking of this, Harmony felt even more unwilling to let go.

As the auction officially began, the Morgan Group’s esteemed position granted him a seat in the front row, while Harmony was seated in the third or fourth row.

”Now on the auction is the Jadeite Bracelet, starting bid at five hundred thousand.”

”Five hundred and fifty thousand.”

”Six hundred thousand.”

”Seven hundred thousand.”

”One million!”

......

Shirley Grant followed Andrew Davidson, slowly walking into the auction scene.

”We can just sit here.”

The two of them sat in the last row, and Shirley kept her head down.

Having put on makeup, she looked even more radiant and alluring.

Under the lights, Shirley’s beauty was fully exposed, making it hard to look away.

With her demeanor, it was hard to imagine she was already the mother of a seven-year-old child.

Andrew sat there with his legs crossed, watching the people below incessantly raise bids.

”If there’s anything you fancy, let me know.”

Andrew spoke softly.

Shirley didn’t speak, merely sat there quietly.

But now, she didn’t know why her emotions were so complex, with an indescribable feeling.

She didn’t know why, but she felt a bit scared, excited, joyful, and sad.

Sitting there, she subconsciously clenched her fists.

”One million three times! Sold for one million, congratulations to Mr. Morgan of the Morgan Group for obtaining this unique black diamond.”
