Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Web Nest Stronghold

”Right, I can help you test the side effects of spiritual energy items for free, just let me borrow one.”

”Seriously, I’ll trade two of the spiritual energy items Brother Lin made for one of yours, check your private messages.”

”Damn, even the big shot upstairs needs to improve their mental energy?”

”No kidding, if your mental energy doesn’t meet the standard, there’s no way to advance.”

”So are the spiritual energy items Brother Lin makes reliable? After all, they’re meant to improve mental energy.”

”They’re definitely more reliable than other methods, and it’s not even the same tier of quality.”

”Buying spiritual energy items that can improve mental energy at a high price.”

”Learning rune knowledge can improve mental energy.”

”But without enough mental energy, you can’t learn rune knowledge.”

”Is that stuff even meant for humans to learn?””I’ve never touched rune knowledge, is it really that hard?”

”I feel like it’s about the same as advanced mathematics, I can’t understand either one.”

”It’s way harder than math. Math I can barely grasp, but rune knowledge is completely incomprehensible to ordinary people.”

”I’m planning to go to the library and borrow a few books on mental energy.”

”Reading books is fine, but just don’t do Exploration Missions, consider this a friendly warning.”

”That’s true. Missions related to mental energy have an extremely low survival rate. Last time, even a big shot died on one of those missions.”

”I’ll just train my mental energy bit by bit. Another week or two should be about enough.”

”Two weeks? Aren’t you afraid of dying in the War Front activity?”

”Being afraid doesn’t help, I can only rely on luck.”

......

Lin Ye finished his dinner, shut down the Group Chat and the Music Box, then hugged the Penguin Doll and lay down on the bed, closing his eyes.

Early the next morning, Lin Ye crawled out of bed. He first went to the Rule Mining Area to mine for an hour, then returned to the Shelter to tend to the plants and animals for a while, before lying back down on the bed, hugging the still-sleeping Scapegoat, and starting his daily simulation.

Lin Ye stood outside the door of Ward 419 and gently knocked on it.

Knock, knock.

”Come in.”

Hearing the response from inside, Lin Ye opened the door and sat down on the chair beside the hospital bed.

”I want to find a place this afternoon to advance and become a high-level spiritual energy user. Do you have any suggestions?”

Advancement was no small matter, and Lin Ye didn’t want to run into any problems.

”I’d really like to advise you not to advance, but you probably wouldn’t agree, would you?”

The young girl leaned against the hospital bed with her eyes closed, her expression calm.

”I know the mental world is troublesome, but I’ve got plenty of trouble on my end too. Hedging risks against each other, that’s something you taught me.”

Lin Ye calmly ate some fruit. Of course, he knew the risks of going deep into the mental world, but there were some risks he had to bear. If he missed this opportunity to strengthen himself, he would sooner or later die on some mission because he wasn’t strong enough.

”I never taught you to hedge risks like that.”

The young girl sighed. Lin Ye’s actions had already gone beyond what she could control, and in the deepest parts of the mental world, no one could help Lin Ye.

”I’m very good at self-directed learning.”

Lin Ye had to come into deep contact with the mental world. Only by doing so could he guarantee that he wouldn’t develop mental problems in the future.

”The weather is pretty nice today. Is there anything you want to do?”

The young girl changed the subject somewhat stiffly.

”I want to go deal with that Dream World, but I’m not clear on the situation over there.”

Lin Ye felt that the young girl had been keeping a close eye on the situation at the Tower.

”The situation over there is a bit complicated right now, and it’s your doing.”

The young girl said with some helplessness.

”Is the Tower problem related to the cult? Then has the situation improved a bit?”

Other than that, Lin Ye couldn’t think of how he could have influenced the Civilization Tower located in the Dream World.

”That move of yours was a bit vicious, but the cult isn’t an ordinary organization. They won’t be wiped out by you just like that. Now isn’t the best time to enter the Dream World. I’ll help you keep an eye on that place.”

The young girl pulled a white-covered book from the bookshelf and placed it in front of Lin Ye.

”What’s this?”

The cover of the book was completely blank. Lin Ye didn’t open it. He didn’t want to get tossed to some unknown Time Node like last time.

”I received a piece of intelligence. An important member of the cult is hiding in the place connected to this book. There should also be a cult stronghold there. You can go collect a bit of interest first. You don’t like staying on the defensive and getting beaten down, do you?”

Lin Ye’s Conch Ritual had severely damaged the cult, and now the cult hadn’t fully stabilized yet. The young girl wouldn’t miss such a good opportunity to take care of an important cult figure.

”Of course. The cult still owes me millions of Trade points. No one gets to keep owing money forever, and that includes the cult.”

Lin Ye didn’t hesitate. He directly opened the book.

”I’m afraid of attracting the cult’s attention... uh, I wasn’t finished speaking.”

The young girl watched Lin Ye, who had already flopped down onto the hospital bed, and showed a somewhat helpless expression.

.....................................................

’Holy crap! Why is this even worse than last time?! It’s not some weird Time Node again, is it?’

Lin Ye lay sprawled on the classroom desk, slowly wriggling his body.

He was now a fleshy ball covered in white fuzz. The ball didn’t even have eyes, so he could only use mental energy to perceive his surroundings.

This seemed to be a classroom, and his identity was some student’s ornamental pet. There were a few similar pets in the classroom.

Fortunately, the environment was rich in spiritual energy, so he could slowly absorb it to modify and strengthen this body that couldn’t even be considered a first-tier spiritual energy creature.

On the podium, a teacher was teaching basic spiritual energy knowledge. That teacher was a third-tier spiritual energy user. Most of the students in the classroom had no rank at all, and only a few top students were first-tier spiritual energy users.

’I need some flesh and blood to strengthen this body. It’s too fragile.’

Lin Ye continuously absorbed the nearby spiritual energy. Even as just a fleshy ball, he could kill every teacher and student in this classroom, but he wouldn’t do such a thing.

After a short while, Lin Ye completed his initial mutation, and his body shrank by a size.

Just then, class ended, and the owner of the fleshy ball carried it out of the classroom.

The other party was a very quiet middle school student. She didn’t say a single word until she walked out of the classroom.

Lin Ye didn’t plan to communicate with her either. After all, a fleshy ball suddenly talking would only scare her.
