Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”Why are you telling us all this? What exactly is that relic?”

Although he didn’t sense any malice from the man, Lin Ye clearly understood that the other party wasn’t exactly a good person. There had to be a reason why he stopped them.

Before figuring out the other’s intentions, it was difficult to say whether they should stay here or not.

”You staying here benefits me. As for what the relic is, you’ll know soon enough.”

A not-so-friendly smile twisted across Ethan’s gloomy face.

”Alright.”

Lin Ye pulled Xia La back to their previous seats. The young man was still sitting there, seemingly not yet grasping the situation.

”I suggest you put down the offspring and leave this city immediately, otherwise it might be too late.”

Lin Ye didn’t particularly enjoy deceiving people of average intelligence, even if the other party was a quasi high-level spiritual energy user.

”What are you talking about? Is there really a relic here or not?”Richard held the offspring. Lin Ye had inexplicably handed the offspring to him earlier and said some confusing things. He was now somewhat unclear about the situation.

”Are you an idiot? Of course there’s a relic here, otherwise so many spiritual energy users wouldn’t have gathered. But there are too few high-level spiritual energy users who came, which shows the relic here is extremely dangerous. Those in the know wouldn’t come... So I’m guessing this relic has a prefix, and it needs to use large numbers of spiritual energy users to achieve some purpose.”

Lin Ye explained the current situation very clearly, so even Richard could understand.

”Damn! So that’s how it is! No wonder that guy sent me here!”

Richard hurriedly threw away the relic offspring in his hand and then rushed quickly toward the shop door.

”It’s already useless. Second-tier users might still have a chance to escape, but seventh-tier users were locked in long ago. Running outward will only sink you deeper. Staying in the city center is safer.”

Ethan didn’t stop Richard, just quietly said this.

Richard immediately stopped in his tracks. He wasn’t a fool. Ethan clearly understood the situation here. If Ethan wasn’t lying, recklessly running out could be very dangerous.

”What exactly is going on here? What do you know?”

Richard walked over to Ethan and asked.

”You’ll know soon enough.”

Before Ethan’s words finished, a deep black dot suddenly appeared in the center of the white card that Richard had thrown on the table. The black dot rapidly spread outward, quickly covering the entire card.

After the card turned black, this spreading not only didn’t stop, but instead accelerated as it extended to the surroundings, instantly covering the entire beverage shop.

After being covered by the blackness, the ground disintegrated, and everyone fell into that darkness.

………………………………………………

Lin Ye climbed up from a soft ground surface. Since the falling speed wasn’t very fast, he wasn’t injured.

If not for the unstable gravitational influences in the environment, Lin Ye wouldn’t even have fallen.

Xia La landed not far away, Richard and Ethan also landed in the same area, with many other spiritual energy users nearby.

”Damn, what kind of hellish place is this?”

Richard struggled to stand up. The gravity pointing in various directions in the environment made him sway left and right, unable to stand steadily.

”So it’s an Abyssal relic. I thought I might encounter something novel.”

Lin Ye helped Xia La up. The surroundings were filled with familiar Abyssal aura. He didn’t know exactly where this was, but it probably wasn’t the Surface Layer of the Abyss.

”...The Abyss? Impossible, right?”

”But this place really resembles the descriptions of the Abyss in books...”

”Damn it! This is a trap! There’s no relic here at all!”

”If only I hadn’t come to join the excitement...”

...

Nearby spiritual energy users all voiced their despair.

”This is the Abyss? How could this happen?”

Xia La was also despairing. She could roughly guess why that relic offspring was delivered to her.

Inheritance disputes were always like this.

”I knew the system task wouldn’t be that simple, boss. You’ll need to give me several more bounty tasks.”

Lin Ye looked around. They were currently on a floating land mass spanning several hundred square meters. Beyond their land mass were other floating land masses. The surroundings were pitch black, and directly above them was a black sun emitting dark light.

”You seem quite familiar with the Abyss, but this isn’t actually the Abyss yet.”

Both Ethan and Richard moved closer to Lin Ye.

”I’ve been to the Surface Layer of the Abyss and have summoned the Abyss’s descent. This place is filled with the Abyss’s aura, and you’re telling me this isn’t the Abyss?”

Lin Ye felt the other’s smile contained ill intentions.

”My apologies then. I’m a priest of a Heterodox God cult. Which Abyssal deity do you worship?”

Ethan suddenly became respectful. He had felt something off about Lin Ye’s aura earlier, never expecting they were actually colleagues.

”I’m just quite familiar with an Abyssal Evil God, I don’t actually worship Abyssal Evil Gods. Could you explain what’s going on here?”

Lin Ye didn’t plan to pretend to be an Abyss believer. His knowledge in this area wasn’t deep, so it was better to be honest.

”So you’re a Chosen One, that explains it.

This is inside the Abyssal relic—Falling Space. The bottom of Falling Space leads to the deepest layers of the Abyss. We’re currently falling downward. Once we exit Falling Space from the bottom, we’ll directly enter the deepest layers of the Abyss. I believe you understand better than I do what that represents, so we must quickly climb upward.”

Priest Ethan put away his smile and spoke seriously.

”So where’s the exit? Is it that black sun up above?”

After Ethan’s reminder, Lin Ye realized that the land beneath their feet was continuously slowly descending.

”Correct. The areas swallowed by Falling Space aren’t limited to just our city. There will be a continuous stream of land masses falling into it from above. But this swallowing will only last for a period of time, and the falling speed will continuously accelerate. We must escape before the swallowing ends.”

Priest Ethan understood this Abyssal relic very well.

”You’re a follower of an Abyssal cult, why would you enter here? What’s your purpose?”

Since Ethan understood this place so deeply, he shouldn’t have appeared here even more. Lin Ye wanted to understand the other’s purpose.

”I became connected to this Abyssal relic due to a ritual, similar to that young lady. I can only enter here, with no way to escape.”

Ethan explained frankly.

”Alright, I hope you’re not lying to me.”

Lin Ye pulled the swaying Xia La toward the edge of the land mass. He carefully observed the floating continents above, quickly calculating the route in his mind.

”Believe me, I want to escape this place quickly even more than you do. The more one understands the Abyss, the more one comprehends what kind of place the deepest layers of the Abyss are.”

Ethan said with a completely serious expression.

Richard, who had been listening all along, hurriedly followed behind them, as did some nearby mid-level spiritual energy users.
