The Snake God with SSS Rank Evolution System

Azrynn stepped forward, her voice calm but carrying a note of quiet authority. Her yellow eyes were steady as she addressed both parties.

”We truly are just passing through. We have no interest in this conflict. We came here for a different purpose entirely—one that does not involve either of you.”

The Solarian commander’s eyes narrowed, his gaze sweeping over Adam’s horns, Alice’s cat ears and tail, and Azrynn’s dark skin and elven features. His voice carried a sharp, dismissive edge.

”Passing through? With a group like that? You’re either demons or demon collaborators. Either way, you’re not welcome here.”

He gestured toward Adam.

”Look at you—horns, that aura. You expect me to believe you’re just a traveler?”

Adam’s expression remained calm, but his voice carried a note of dry, resigned honesty.

”I figured we wouldn’t be trusted. We stand out too much.”

The demon commander’s eyes gleamed with interest, his voice carrying a note of cool curiosity. He studied them with renewed interest, his gaze lingering on Adam’s horns and Alice’s feline features.

”You certainly share certain... characteristics with our kind. Those horns—they’re not unlike those of some demon breeds. And the ears and tail of your companion—very familiar. Are you from the Redwood Expanse?”

Alice’s ears flattened, her voice carrying a note of flat confusion.

”Redwood Expanse? I’ve never heard of that place.”

Adam’s internal voice was quiet, thoughtful, as he processed the demon commander’s words.

’Redwood Expanse. That’s not a name I recognize. But the way he said it... it’s clearly a place of significance to demon-kind.’

Azrynn’s voice came out in a low murmur, meant only for Adam and Alice.

”I don’t know what the Redwood Expanse is either. But it seems to hold weight among demons.”

The demon commander’s lips curved into a faint, knowing smile. His voice carried a note of quiet amusement.

”Interesting. You bear the marks of our kind, yet you know nothing of our lands. That is... unusual.”

Alice’s tail lashed, her voice carrying a sharp, defensive edge, her dark violet eyes narrowing at the demon commander.

”Unusual or not, we don’t belong to any demon faction. We’re our own group. We follow no one.”

The Solarian commander’s jaw tightened, his voice carrying a note of cold finality as he stepped forward, his greatsword raised.

”Enough of this. You’re clearly not human. That makes you enemies of Solaria.”

The atmosphere in the clearing shifted like a blade being drawn.

The demon commander raised a hand, silencing his subordinate’s trembling warning. His cold eyes never left Adam’s form, but his voice carried a note of reluctant caution.

”We do not seek conflict with our own kind. But this mission cannot be compromised. And you—claiming neutrality, bearing no allegiance, you are a liability. A loose thread that could unravel everything. I cannot allow you to simply walk away with knowledge of our movements.”

Azrynn’s yellow eyes narrowed. Her voice came out quiet, measured.

”Then it seems we’ve failed to reach an understanding.”

Adam let out a low, humorless chuckle, his crimson eyes fixed on the gathered soldiers and demons alike. His voice carried a note of dry, unbothered resignation.

”To be honest, I never expected to be trusted. From the moment we were detected, I knew this would end in a fight.”

Alice’s cat ears flattened, her tail lashing with barely contained irritation. Her voice was sharp, pointed—aimed directly at Adam.

”This is your fault. If your camouflage skill weren’t so useless, we wouldn’t have been discovered in the first place.”

Adam shot her a flat, exasperated look, his voice carrying a note of wounded pride.

”Don’t insult my skills. That camouflage has saved us more times than I can count.”

Before Alice could retort, the air around them changed.

A heavy, suffocating pressure settled over the clearing—dense, ancient, and draconic. The soldiers and demons alike felt it, their bodies tensing, their eyes darting toward the source.

The figure with the long, flowing purple hair.

Adam aura had shifted, the weight of his true nature pressing down on the clearing like an invisible storm. The Solarian soldiers’ faces went pale. One of them stumbled back, his voice cracking with terror.

”Commander Hans—that’s a monster! We can’t fight that! We need to retreat before—”

Hans cut him off, his voice sharp with command, though his own hand trembled on his greatsword.

”Stand your ground! We are Solarian soldiers! We do not flee from—”

His words faltered as Adam’s gaze swept over him, cold and unblinking.

On the demon side, one of the mages stepped back, his voice low and urgent as he spoke to Greg.

”Lord Greg... that presence. He is not a demon. He is something else entirely. We should reconsider—”

Greg’s jaw tightened, his eyes fixed on Adam with a mixture of wariness and cold calculation. His voice came out steady, but there was an edge beneath it.

”I am aware. But that does not mean he cannot be beaten. Hold your positions. Follow my orders.”

He raised his staff, the dark energy at its tip flaring with renewed intensity.

”If he wants to die here, we will grant his wish.”

Adam’s crimson eyes gleamed with dark amusement as he surveyed the chaos unfolding before him. His voice carried a light, almost playful note, cutting through the tension like a blade.

”Looks like this is going to be a beautiful night.”

He cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders as he addressed his companions.

”You two focus on the humans. Leave the demons to me—I want to see what it feels like to fight a demon race.”

Azrynn’s yellow eyes blazed with cold determination. Her voice was sharp, carrying a note of deadly promise.

”I’ll sever their heads and bring them to you, Adam.”

Adam’s lips curved into a faint, amused smile, his voice carrying a note of dry correction.

”Don’t go that far. Just leave their heads on the ground.”

Alice stretched her arms above her head, her cat ears twitching as a slow, predatory grin spread across her face. Her voice carried a note of dark nostalgia, her tail swaying with anticipation.

”Hnnh~ it’s been a while since I’ve hunted humans. Reminds me of the old days in the dungeon.”

Hans’s voice cut through the tension, sharp and commanding.

”ATTACK!”

The Solarian soldiers surged forward, their weapons raised, their battle cries echoing through the clearing. Alice’s body dissolved into shadow, a sphere of dark violet void energy forming around her like a massive, round cat. She shot forward, a blur of shadow and claws, tearing through the front line of soldiers.

Azrynn moved with deadly precision from behind, her bow singing as arrow after arrow found its mark. When a soldier stumbled, wounded and exposed, Azrynn closed the distance with brutal efficiency—her blade flashing, severing heads cleanly from shoulders, just as she had promised.

Adam watched the carnage with calm approval, his crimson eyes fixed on Greg and his demon forces. His voice carried a note of dry, pointed expectation.

”They’ve already started. Are you not going to attack as well?”

Greg’s fingers curled tighter around his staff, the dark energy pulsing in response. His voice carried a note of cold, measured restraint.

”We are not the kind of people who attack without thinking.”

His eyes never left Adam’s form, his staff crackling with dark energy as he studied the creature before him.

”Surrender now, and I’ll consider letting you live. Continue this path, and I cannot guarantee your safety.”

Adam let out a low, dry laugh, his crimson eyes glinting with dark amusement. His voice carried a note of playful dismissal.

”Surrender? To a demon? That’s a new one.”
