The Snake God with SSS Rank Evolution System

The morning sun cast long, golden streaks across the clearing as the group prepared to depart. The fire had been extinguished, the bedrolls rolled and stored. The scent of dew and earth hung in the air, fresh and clean.

Lilith’s crimson eyes, sharp and observant, lingered on Isolde as the vampire moved about the camp. There was something different about her—a subtle shift in her aura, a quiet confidence that hadn’t been there before. Her hair, now a deep, vibrant crimson, caught the morning light like living fire.

Isolde noticed Lilith’s gaze. She met it without flinching, a faint, enigmatic smile curving her lips.

Lilith’s curiosity flickered, her eyes narrowing slightly, but she said nothing.

Adam stepped away from the group, his body beginning to shift. Scales rippled across his skin, bones cracked and reformed, and within moments, the massive form of the Ouroboros Progenitor stood before them. His silver-veined scales gleamed in the morning light, his wings spreading wide, casting a long shadow across the clearing. His crimson eyes, flecked with gold, surveyed his companions.

”Climb on. We’re heading to demon territory.”

Ignis’s golden eyes widened, her flames flickering with excitement. She bounced on her heels, her voice carrying a note of eager curiosity.

”Wait—are you sure you can carry all five of us? Should I transform too? We could fly together!”

Adam’s draconic head turned toward her, his voice rumbling through his chest.

”No. We need to stay hidden. I’ll use my camouflage skill to keep us out of sight. If you transform too, it’ll double the risk of being spotted.”

Ignis’s shoulders sagged slightly, but she nodded, a hint of disappointment flickering through her flames.

”Fine, fine...”

Lilith’s voice drifted over, smooth and amused, as she glided toward Adam’s massive form.

”Worried about being seen, Ignis? I thought you loved attention.”

Ignis’s pout deepened, her voice carrying a note of stubborn pride.

”I do! But I also don’t want to get attacked by a bunch of demons before we even reach our destination.”

Alice’s cat ears twitched, her tail swaying as she leaped onto Adam’s back with practiced ease. Her voice was flat, but carried a hint of approval.

”Smart choice. We need to avoid unnecessary fights until we reach the demon territory.”

Azrynn followed, her movements careful and deliberate as she found a secure spot near Adam’s spine. Her voice carried a note of quiet awe.

”This is... incredible. I never imagined I’d ride on a dragon.”

Isolde was the last to climb on, her movements graceful, her hand brushing against Adam’s scales as she settled behind Azrynn. Her voice was soft, carrying a note of quiet warmth.

”You’ll get used to it.”

Adam’s massive wings spread wide, catching the morning air. He launched upward, his powerful form rising into the sky with a single, thunderous beat. The forest shrank beneath them, the wind rushing past as they climbed higher.

Lilith, seated near Adam’s neck, tilted her head, her crimson eyes studying Isolde with renewed curiosity. Her voice carried a smooth, probing edge.

”Isolde. Your aura is different this morning. Something happened last night, didn’t it?”

The question hung in the air, carrying the weight of Lilith’s sharp attention. Isolde’s pale blue eyes met Lilith’s crimson gaze, her expression calm and steady. She inclined her head slightly, her voice cool and measured.

”Yes. Something happened.”

Lilith’s eyes narrowed, her voice carrying a note of careful curiosity.

”What?”

Isolde’s lips curved into a faint, enigmatic smile. Her voice carried a note of quiet certainty.

”I entered a Bloodpact with Adam.”

The words dropped into the silence like a stone into still water.

Alice’s head snapped around, her dark violet eyes wide with disbelief. Her voice came out sharp, incredulous.

”A Bloodpact?! With Adam?! When?!”

Lilith’s expression flickered—a brief crack in her composure, quickly smoothed over. Her voice was calm, but carried an edge beneath it.

”I see. That’s why your aura feels different. You’re bound to him now.”

Adam’s voice rumbled through his chest, calm and steady, carrying over the wind.

”I agreed to it. The pact strengthens my soul against Gluttony’s influence. It was necessary.”

Lilith’s eyes narrowed, her voice carrying a note of cool consideration.

”And the cost?”

Isolde met her gaze without flinching, her voice calm and unwavering.

”I’m bound to him. If he dies, I die. And if I die, he dies. We’re connected now.”

Ignis’s voice cut through, carrying a note of surprised concern.

”Wait—you can both die? That’s... intense.”

Alice’s ears flattened, her voice carrying a sharp, pointed edge.

”You should have told us first.”

Adam’s voice was steady, but carried a note of quiet apology.

”I know. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision. But it was the right one.”

Lilith was silent for a long moment, her crimson eyes fixed on Isolde. Then, slowly, she inclined her head, a faint, almost imperceptible gesture of acknowledgment.

”Very well. If it strengthens you against Gluttony, then I suppose it is a necessary risk.” Her gaze sharpened. ”But I will be watching you closely, Isolde. If this pact endangers Adam in any way, I will find a way to break it.”

Isolde met her gaze without flinching, her voice steady and calm.

”You won’t find a way. The Bloodpact is unbreakable. But if it eases your mind, know that I will protect him with my life.”

Lilith’s crimson eyes flicked toward Alice, a note of dry amusement creeping into her voice. She tilted her head, her silver-white hair catching the wind.

”Hmm. You’re being surprisingly calm about this, Alice. I expected a tantrum.”

Alice’s cat ears twitched, her tail lifting with a note of smug pride. Her voice carried a haughty edge as she crossed her arms, chin lifted.

”Heh. This is nothing compared to my bond with Adam. We’re already connected on a soul level—I was the first, and that will never change. A Bloodpact doesn’t erase that.”

Ignis tilted her head, her golden eyes blinking with genuine confusion. Her voice carried a note of curiosity.

”Is that something to be proud of?”

Alice’s tail lashed, her voice carrying a sharp, defensive edge.

”Of course it is! It means I’ve been with Adam the longest.”

Lilith’s voice drifted over, smooth and placating, though a faint glint of amusement lingered in her crimson eyes.

”Of course, Alice. Whatever makes you happy.”

She paused, her gaze shifting to Adam, her voice carrying a note of pointed curiosity.

”But if we’re comparing connections, the three of us have Soul-Links with you, and now Isolde has a Bloodpact. What exactly makes hers different from ours?”

Alice’s ears flattened, her voice carrying a sharp, indignant edge.

”Ahh, I see! You used the Bloodpact as a way to get closer to Adam! You took advantage of the situation!”

Isolde’s gaze remained steady, her voice calm and unwavering, though a faint flush crept up her neck.

”The Bloodpact is different. It’s not just a connection—it’s a binding. Our blood are woven together through a sacred ritual. It’s not like a Soul-Link, which can be shared among many.”

Her voice dropped, growing softer, but no less certain.

”The Bloodpact is a commitment. A vow written in blood. It makes our souls stronger together—it’s not just a connection, it’s a bond of purpose.”

Azrynn’s voice carried a note of thoughtful agreement, her yellow eyes fixed on the horizon.

”She’s right. The principle is similar to how runes work. When you carve a rune into a catalyst, it strengthens the effect. The Bloodpact is like that—it’s a catalyst for the soul. It amplifies what’s already there.”

Ignis tilted her head, her flames flickering with curiosity as she processed Azrynn’s explanation.

”Ohhh. So Isolde’s bond with Adam is like... a supercharged rune?”

Azrynn nodded, a faint smile touching her lips.

”In a way, yes.”

Lilith’s crimson eyes lingered on Isolde for a moment longer, then shifted to Adam. Her voice carried a note of quiet acceptance.

”Then I suppose we’ll have to get used to having a vampire as part of our inner circle.” Her lips curved into a thin, almost approving smile. ”Welcome to the family, Isolde.”

Isolde’s cheeks flushed faintly, but she inclined her head, her voice carrying a note of quiet gratitude.

”...Thank you, Lilith.”

Alice’s ears twitched, her voice carrying a note of reluctant acknowledgment.

”Fine. I’ll tolerate you. But only because Adam trusts you.”

Adam’s voice rumbled through his chest, carrying a note of warmth that cut through the wind.

”Good. I was preparing for a much longer argument.”
