The Snake God with SSS Rank Evolution System

The Titans attacked as one.

The first Titan lunged with reckless, brutal force, its massive claws tearing through the air where Adam had been standing. Adam’s Abyssal Step carried him sideways, emerging from the shadow of a jagged rock, but the spear-wielder was already there, its void-tipped lance thrusting toward his chest.

Adam twisted, the spear grazing his side, leaving a shallow gash that immediately began to smoke. His regeneration kicked in, but slower than usual—the void energy in the lance was resisting his healing.

”Tch!” Adam hissed, leaping back to create distance.

The archer released another arrow. Adam’s Apex Instinct screamed, his body moving before his mind could catch up. He threw himself sideways, the arrow passing so close it sliced through the edge of his cloak.

He rolled, came up in a crouch, Ouroboros’s Fang already swinging.

The blade caught the first Titan across the chest, carving a deep furrow through its shadowy form. The creature roared, staggering back, its body flickering as it tried to reform. But Adam pressed the advantage.

”[Abyssal Claw]!”

Dark energy raked across the Titan’s torso, and the creature stumbled again. Adam could see the damage accumulating, the shadows struggling to hold form.

But the other two Titans didn’t give him time to finish it.

The spear-wielder lunged again, its weapon aimed at Adam’s throat. Adam’s Abyssal Step carried him behind the Titan, and he drove Ouroboros’s Fang into its back. The blade sank deep, golden veins flaring as the draconic essence clashed with the void energy.

The Titan roared, thrashing, and Adam was forced to withdraw the blade and retreat as the first Titan recovered and lunged at him again.

He was getting surrounded. Every time he damaged one, the other two forced him to break off his attack. Their coordination was relentless, their regeneration constant. He was making progress, but slowly.

”Fine,” Adam muttered, his eyes blazing. ”You want to play this way?”

He raised Ouroboros’s Fang high, golden light gathering along its edge.

”[Ouroboros’s Legacy]!”

The blade blazed with golden light, and Adam swung it in a wide arc, a wave of radiant energy exploding outward. The three Titans were caught in the blast, their forms flickering violently as the draconic essence tore through their shadowy bodies.

But they didn’t fall.

They reformed, their bodies knitting together, their burning red eyes fixed on him with renewed intensity.

Adam’s grip tightened on the sword. ”So that didn’t do it either.” He shook his head, jaw tightening. ”Fine.”

He lunged again, Ouroboros’s Fang carving a blazing arc through the darkness. The first Titan raised its claws to block, but the blade bit deep, slicing through its shadowy form. It staggered, and Adam pressed forward, his strikes relentless, each one carving deeper into its body.

Adam’s jaw tightened as he watched the wound he’d carved into the first Titan seal itself within seconds. His grip on Ouroboros’s Fang tightened, frustration flickering across his features.

”Tch. Still too fast.”

He retreated a step, reassessing. The Titans’ regeneration was relentless but he had noticed something. The wounds inflicted by Ouroboros’s Fang were healing slower than those from his claws or magic. The draconic essence in the blade was actively disrupting their shadowy forms.

’So the sword does work better against them. But the regeneration is still too fast for me to land a killing blow.’

His eyes narrowed, calculating. ’If I slow them down first—stun them, disrupt their focus—then the sword’s wounds will have time to accumulate. I need to hit them harder, faster, and not give them a moment to recover.’

A cold, sharp smile spread across his face.

”Alright. New plan.”

He leaped back, Abyssal Step carrying him to a raised outcropping of rock. The Titans surged after him, but Adam was already raising his hand, dark energy gathering in his palm.

”[Abyssal Pierce]!”

The projectile shot forward, striking the first Titan in the chest. The creature staggered, its form flickering as the void energy disrupted its cohesion. Adam followed up immediately, launching another at the spear-wielder.

”[Abyssal Pierce]!”

The second projectile struck the spear-wielder’s shoulder, spinning it sideways. The archer raised its bow, but Adam was already moving.

”[Tempest Sovereign]!”

A vortex of cutting wind and crackling lightning erupted from his palm, tearing through the space between them. The storm caught all three Titans, staggering them, their forms flickering as the elemental assault overwhelmed their regeneration.

Adam didn’t waste the opening.

He shot forward, Abyssal Step carrying him through the storm, emerging directly in front of the first Titan. Ouroboros’s Fang blazed in his grip, golden light flaring along its edge.

”Let’s see how fast you regenerate from this!”

He swung the blade in a devastating arc, carving through the Titan’s torso. The creature roared, its form convulsing as the draconic essence burned through its shadowy flesh. The wound didn’t close immediately—it festered, black ichor dripping from the gash.

The Titan stumbled back, its regeneration struggling.

Adam pressed the advantage. He raised his hand, prismatic light gathering in his palm.

”[Prismatic Beam]!”

The rainbow lance shot forward, striking the wounded Titan square in the chest. The creature convulsed, its form flickering violently, and Adam lunged forward again, Ouroboros’s Fang blazing.

He swung the blade in a wide arc, cleaving through the Titan’s neck. The creature’s head separated from its body, and its form dissolved into wisps of shadow that scattered into the darkness.

One down.

Adam spun, facing the remaining two Titans. The spear-wielder was already charging, its void-tipped lance aimed at his chest. The archer was nocking another arrow, its burning eyes fixed on him.

Adam’s lips curled into a cold, sharp smile.

”That was the first,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. ”Who’s next?”

The spear-wielder’s chest heaved. Its form swelled, shadows coiling around its limbs like living armor. Then it threw its head back and let out a thunderous roar.

”GROOOOAAAARRR!”

The sound tore through the cavern, shaking the very foundations of the chamber. Ripples spread across the blood-dark lake, and dust rained from the ceiling above. The sheer force of it pressed against Adam like a physical weight, the Titan’s presence swelling as it tried to dominate the battlefield through sheer intimidation.

Adam’s lips curled into a defiant snarl. He planted his feet, drew a deep breath, and answered in kind.

[Draconic Roar]!

His own roar erupted from his throat, layered with draconic resonance and sovereign authority. The two shockwaves collided in mid-air, cracking the stone floor and sending jagged fractures racing across the walls. The archer Titan staggered, its aim faltering. The spear-wielder hesitated for just a fraction of a second.

Adam didn’t waste the opening.

He slammed his palm against the ground.

[Seismic Shatter]!

A focused shockwave rippled outward, fracturing the stone beneath the Titans’ feet. The ground buckled, throwing the spear-wielder off balance as it stumbled, its weapon dipping low. The archer tried to leap back, but the cracks spread too fast, forcing it to scramble for stable footing.

Adam surged forward.

Ouroboros’s Fang blazed as he closed the distance, aiming for the spear-wielder’s exposed flank. But the Titan recovered faster than he expected—its void-tipped lance swept up in a brutal arc, forcing Adam to twist mid-stride.

The lance passed so close it grazed his shoulder, tearing through his cloak and leaving a shallow gash. The void energy in the wound burned, his regeneration struggling to close it.

Adam’s eyes narrowed. ”Close.”

Before he could counter, the archer had already drawn another arrow—its burning red eyes fixed on Adam’s chest. The arrow loosed.

Adam raised his shield arm, [Aegis of the Colossus] flaring to life as the projectile struck. The barrier caught the arrow mid-flight, shattering it into fragments of shadow that dissolved before they hit the ground.

He lowered his arm, his eyes blazing. ”Not bad.”

The two Titans regrouped, their forms flickering as they reassessed their target. The spear-wielder’s stance shifted, its weapon lowering into a guard position. The archer nocked another arrow, its movements slower now, more deliberate.

Adam’s grip tightened on Ouroboros’s Fang.

”Alright,” he said, his voice cold and steady. ”You’ve had your turn. Now it’s mine.”
