The Snake God with SSS Rank Evolution System

The Red Templar’s body convulsed violently within the crushing coils of Ouroboros Coils. Its armor, already cracked and groaning, began to splinter further as Adam tightened his grip. Dark ichor seeped from the fractures, hissing where it touched the corrupted metal.

”Ouroboros Coils!”

The coils constricted again, and the Red Templar’s chestplate caved inward with a sickening crunch. Its greatsword, still clutched in its gauntleted hand, scraped uselessly against the stone floor.

”Prismatic Beam!”

Adam’s free hand shot forward, a lance of rainbow light erupting from his palm and striking the Templar square in the chest. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the creature’s body, its armor blackening and cracking further under the assault.

But the Red Templar didn’t fall.

’Damn it. This thing just won’t go down. I need to finish this quickly before I run out of steam.’

Its crimson aura flared brighter, the corrupted light pushing back against the prismatic onslaught. The monster’s body shuddered, and a deep, guttural sound rumbled from its chest—something between a roar and a laugh.

Adam’s eyes narrowed. ”You’re tough. I’ll give you that.”

The Red Templar’s aura surged again. Its armor, already shattered, began to glow with an unstable, crimson light.

Then the light erupted.

A violent explosion ripped through the center of the creature’s chest, sending shockwaves of dark energy and searing heat in all directions. The force of it wrenched Adam’s Ouroboros Coils apart, the serpentine grip loosening as his scales smoked from the blast.

”Tch!” Adam hissed, staggering back as the Templar broke free.

The Red Templar straightened, its armor cracked and smoking, ichor leaking from a dozen wounds. But it was standing. Its greatsword was still raised, its crimson aura flickering but holding.

Adam’s eyes blazed.

”That was a good trick,” he admitted, his voice low and cold. ”But you’ve used up your last card.”

The moment the Red Templar’s explosion faded, he moved.

”[Abyssal Step]!”

His body dissolved into the shadow beneath his feet, emerging directly in front of the staggered Templar. Before the creature could raise its greatsword, Adam’s hand shot forward, a vortex of cutting wind and crackling lightning already gathering in his palm.

”[Tempest Sovereign]!”

The storm erupted at point-blank range, tearing into the Red Templar’s cracked armor. The creature roared, its crimson aura flaring as it weathered the assault, but it didn’t fall. Its greatsword swept up, forcing Adam to break off the attack and leap back.

The Red Templar pressed forward, its blade carving a blazing arc through the air. Adam’s claws came up to meet it.

”[Abyssal Claw]!”

CLANG—SCREECH!

The impact sent sparks showering across the chamber. Adam’s claws held against the greatsword, but the force of the blow drove him back a step. His scales groaned under the strain, the Templar’s crimson aura still burning with defiance.

”Persistent,” Adam muttered, gritting his teeth. ”But I’ve had enough.”

The Templar swung again, harder this time. Adam raised his claws to block, but the force was immense, sending him skidding back. His boots carved trenches in the stone floor as he fought to hold his ground.

Then the Templar surged forward with a devastating overhead strike.

Adam’s eyes blazed. He planted his feet and drove his fist forward.

”[Monarch’s Pierce]!”

Dark energy coiled around his knuckles as his fist met the greatsword’s edge. For a moment, they hung suspended—the blade against his fist, the weight of the Templar’s strength pushing against him.

Then the combination of Berserker’s Bloodlust and Chitin Fracture took effect.

The armor cracked.

Shattered.

The greatsword splintered in the Templar’s grip as Adam’s fist drove through the blade and into the creature’s chest. The Red Templar’s body went rigid, its crimson aura flickering wildly before dying entirely.

Adam didn’t waste the opening.

”[Prismatic Beam]—Full Release!”

A lance of rainbow light exploded from his palm, tearing through the Red Templar’s chest. The creature’s body convulsed once, twice, before collapsing to the ground, its form crumbling into ash and scattered fragments.

Adam stood amidst the fading dust of the Red Templar, his chest heaving. His wounds were already beginning to close, his regeneration working steadily, though the burning residue from the Templar’s earlier strike still lingered. He flexed his claws, watching the last of the ichor drip from his scales.

’That was close.’ His internal voice was quiet, calculating. ’If I hadn’t evolved Ouroboros Coils when I did, that explosion might have done more damage.’

He glanced at the pile of ash that had been the Red Templar, then at the scattered remnants of the Nightwraith. His gaze drifted to the fallen greatsword—still intact, despite the destruction.

Adam picked it up, testing its weight. The blade was heavy, longer than he was tall, its edge still gleaming with a faint, crimson sheen. Dark energy pulsed along its length.

”Not bad,” he murmured.

He stored the sword in his inventory pouch. ”Might be useful later.”

[Red Templar’s Greatsword – Unique (Evolvable)]

[Effect: This blade was forged in the heart of the Void, tempered by shadow and malice. It is resistant to corrosion and deals bonus damage to light-attuned enemies. The weapon’s edge is unnaturally sharp, capable of cleaving through lesser armor with ease. It carries a faint curse that attempts to corrupt the wielder over time, but its edge remains deadly.]

Adam’s eyes narrowed as he read the description.

’Deals bonus damage to light-attuned enemies. And it’s resistant to corrosion. Could be useful against the Void, if that corruption thing doesn’t become an issue.’

He dismissed the interface, his gaze sweeping the chamber one last time. The darkness was still there, thick and oppressive, but it no longer felt as hostile. As if the death of the guardians had weakened its hold.

Adam turned his attention to the path ahead.

”Alright. The guardians are down. Now let’s see what they were protecting.”

He walked toward the far end of the chamber, where the shadows were thickest.
