Martial Dao: Peace by Force

Chapter 157: Chapter 125: Two-in-One

”Heh... That punch had some kick!”

Sun Weilong spat out a mouthful of blood, his gaze sweeping over to Tie Qingyang nearby.

’He hardened his resolve.’

’If I can’t kill this monster, Wan Ze, I’ll kill the old man instead.’

The whole point of coming today was to take Tie Qingyang’s life!

With a low roar, Sun Weilong shot forward again, feinting an attack on Wan Ze while actually aiming straight for Tie Qingyang.

But he didn’t even manage to touch the corner of Tie Qingyang’s clothes.

Wan Ze appeared before him like a ghost, blocking his path.

He clenched his five fingers into a fist.

Another punch.

This time, Sun Weilong was sent flying, blasting through a second wall. Half his body was embedded in the masonry, kicking up a cloud of dust and debris.

The hall fell into a dead silence once more.

Witnessing Sun Weilong, the so-called Eight-Armed Divine Fist, get sent flying again and again, everyone seemed to forget how to breathe, not daring to even exhale.

Wan Ze stared at Sun Weilong’s body embedded in the wall, his brow furrowing slightly.

He knew the power behind that last punch. A normal person’s Five Viscera and Six Bowels would have been utterly destroyed, killing them instantly. But this man was still moving, struggling to get up.

’Something’s not right.’

He suddenly thought of Jie Zhengyang, that guy whose body had been mutated after colluding with the Secret Palace.

’This man before me has probably been tainted by that stuff, too.’

Wan Ze turned back to Tie Qingyang and said decisively, ”You all should leave first.”

Tie Qingyang’s expression changed.

It wasn’t just him; President Qin’s face had also turned deathly pale. He quickly spoke up, ”Brother, I have no grudge against Tie Qingyang. This is all because of Sun Weilong... I’m just a businessman. Your martial world affairs have nothing to do with me, really... I’ll let you get to it. I’ll be leaving now.”

He forced a polite smile, backing away as he spoke.

Wan Ze watched him coolly, saying nothing.

A chill ran down President Qin’s spine. He quickly waved to his men. ”We’re leaving.”

”BANG!”

A gunshot rang out.

President Qin’s head exploded.

Blood splattered all over the person next to him.

Everyone was stunned.

Not just because President Qin had been killed, but because the one who fired the shot was actually Zhao You.

He held the gun in one hand, the barrel still smoking. He didn’t stop after the first hit. He aimed at the few confidants President Qin had brought with him and fired several more shots—BANG! BANG! BANG!—dropping them all in an instant.

Then he threw the gun to the ground and dropped to his knees before Tie Qingyang with a THUD.

His voice trembled as he spoke. ”Boss! It was President Qin who forced me... He threatened my wife and child’s lives to make me do this! I had no choice, I really had no choice... Boss, you watched me grow up. Please, give me one more chance!”

Tie Qingyang looked down at him.

Behind Zhao You stood a dozen or so gunmen, all men he had brought.

At that moment, none of them moved. The sound of heavy breathing filled the room; someone swallowed hard.

Tie Qingyang took a step forward.

Zhao You trembled all over.

’He was gambling...’

’Gambling that Tie Qingyang would be swayed by their long history, gambling that his twenty years of loyal service could save his life.’

Tie Qingyang walked up to him and crouched down.

He looked into Zhao You’s eyes, which were filled with terror and pleading, along with a deeply hidden glimmer of hope that he might get away with it.

Tie Qingyang watched him for a moment, then reached out and gently patted Zhao You’s shoulder.

”Xiaoyou.”

He said, his voice soft, ”You’ve worked hard.”

Joy surged in Zhao You’s heart, and he quickly looked up.

A Sleeve Sword plunged into his right eye socket, piercing straight through the back of his skull.

His mouth fell open as blood poured from his eye socket and mouth. His body went limp and collapsed.

Tie Qingyang stood up, took out a handkerchief, and slowly wiped the blood from his hand. His voice was as cold as the winter wind.

”In this world, we live by the code of the martial world. Betraying one’s master is an unforgivable sin.”

He raised his eyes and looked at the dozen or so gunmen Zhao You had brought.

”But I will give you one chance. Put down your guns, and I’ll pretend none of this ever happened.”

The gunmen looked at each other. After a few seconds, they all threw their guns to the ground and knelt, one after another.

Tie Feiyang hurried over, clutching his shoulder, his face pale. ”Brother Wan.”

”Take your father to get his wounds treated,” Wan Ze said, glancing at Sun Weilong, who was still embedded in the wall. ”I need to deal with this person.”

Tie Feiyang nodded quickly and reached out to support Tie Qingyang.

But Tie Qingyang didn’t move.

He pulled Wan Ze aside, lowered his voice, and whispered in his ear, ”Sun Weilong has a powerful backer... Let me be the one to kill him.”

Wan Ze was slightly taken aback.

Tie Qingyang looked at him earnestly.

He didn’t know what Wan Ze wanted to interrogate him about, but he knew this man had to die by his hand.

Someone was backing Sun Weilong. What happened today couldn’t be covered up. When they came investigating, they would need an explanation—someone to blame.

And just as Sun Weilong had guessed, after this fight, he didn’t have many years left to live.

His old wounds had flared up, his qi and blood were in chaos. He didn’t have much time left anyway.

There was no need to drag Wan Ze into this.

He shot a look at Tie Feiyang.

Tie Feiyang didn’t know what his old man had just said. He just hesitated for a moment, then nodded and helped Tie Qingyang walk out.

The group disappeared through the doorway.

A moment later, gunshots echoed from the hallway.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

A dozen or so shots, fired in quick succession.

Then came the sound of something heavy being dragged, which soon faded back into silence.

Tie Qingyang had never been a merciful man.

Traitors deserved to die.

On the other hand, this meant that besides the Tie Family father and son, no one else knew Wan Ze had been here.

The Iron Cross Elite who finally arrived had no idea that Wan Ze was in the next room, interrogating Sun Weilong.

...

Sun Weilong dangled in Wan Ze’s grip like a dead dog.

His muscles were still bulging, veins popping all over his body. He was twice the size of a normal man, a truly monstrous sight.
