Ling Tian Sword God

Spirit Snake Island, deep underground.

Beneath layers of trap mechanisms, a gigantic black peak stands prominently, emitting an ancient and eerie aura. Below the mountain, rivers of blood flow, clouds of ghostly winds pass through, seemingly intertwined with sounds of wailing spirits, and a highly pungent smell of blood permeates the air.

Within Witch Mountain, there exists a massive Blood Sea, the intense smell of blood wafting from this Blood Sea.

Ling Chen, Xia Yunxin, and the Left and Right Guardians of the Witch Fiend Sect, along with the Three Saint Elders, stand by the Blood Sea, gazing at the bubbling crimson ocean before them.

From the depths of the Blood Sea, Ling Chen can feel an immense surge of energy, drawn from thousands of powerful beings, mixed together like a power-accumulating ancient giant beast.

”Ling Chen, you and I will enter the Blood Sea together.”

Facing the boiling Blood Sea, Xia Yunxin looks at Ling Chen.

”Me?”

Ling Chen is slightly taken aback, then glances at the boiling Blood Sea, furrowing his brow, ”The power of this Blood Sea is very unique and extremely overbearing. With my cultivation, I’m not sure I can withstand it?”

A strong premonition tells him that the Blood Sea is not a place to enter casually.

”Don’t worry, with this.”

Xia Yunxin flips her palm, revealing a piece of black jade marrow, ”With this, the ancient witch energy within the Witch Mountain Blood Sea will not harm you. On the contrary, you can absorb its power for your own use.”

”This... the Witch Mountain Blood Sea is our Witch Fiend Sect’s sacred site, only the Witch God has the right to enter...”

Seeing Xia Yunxin also allowing Ling Chen to enter the Witch Mountain Blood Sea, the Left Guardian spoke with difficulty.

This Witch Mountain Blood Sea is a forbidden place for the Witch Fiend Sect; even their high-ranking members usually dare not cross the line. Of course, it’s not that they don’t want to enter, but without the ancient witch jade marrow bestowed by the Witch God, they cannot withstand the overbearing ancient witch energy in the Witch Mountain Blood Sea.

Only the Witch God can control this Blood Sea.

Ling Chen is merely an outsider; he has no qualifications to enter the Blood Sea.

”What, can’t I even decide on this little matter?”

Xia Yunxin furrowed her eyebrows, replied coldly.

”Dare not.”

The Left Guardian quickly bowed his head; in front of Xia Yunxin, he wouldn’t dare overstep his bounds.

”Witch Goddess, since Ling Chen can enter this Witch Mountain Blood Sea, can we also...”

At this moment, the Right Guardian cautiously spoke up. Seeing Ling Chen being able to enter the Blood Sea, he naturally felt a bit unfair, thinking since Ling Chen could enter, perhaps Xia Yunxin might agree they could enter as well.

However, Xia Yunxin merely glanced at him and withdrew her gaze, saying indifferently, ”The energy within the Blood Sea is scarce; it’s just barely enough for me to restore my strength. You should guard well outside; when there’s a chance in the future, you’ll naturally be allowed in.”

”Yes.”

Upon hearing this, the Right Guardian’s face also showed obvious disappointment. Why didn’t Xia Yunxin mention the lack of energy when Ling Chen entered, but now when it’s their turn, suddenly it’s insufficient?

But since Xia Yunxin said so, she clearly doesn’t intend to let them in, so they have no recourse.

”Go in, then.”

Xia Yunxin then signaled to Ling Chen, and the two of them swiftly plunged into the Blood Sea.

The Blood Sea seemingly could sense the presence of life; as Ling Chen and Xia Yunxin entered, tempestuous waves suddenly surged, engulfing their forms.

”The Witch Goddess is being overly kind to Ling Chen, letting this lad enter even the sacred place of the Blood Sea.”

After Xia Yunxin and Ling Chen both entered the Blood Sea, the Right Guardian’s face showed a hint of displeasure. Based on seniority, such favors should have gone to someone else, not Ling Chen.

”This matter has both pros and cons.”

The Left Guardian didn’t show any intention to complain. His eyes gleamed as he spoke, ”This Ling Chen was the first in the Heavenly Sword Tournament and is acclaimed as the number one young genius of the Nine Provinces. If he aligns closely with our Witch Fiend Sect, giving him benefits wouldn’t necessarily be a bad decision. After all, his growth will be beneficial to us.”

”The Left Guardian speaks reasonably.”

The Ghost Spirit Evil Saint behind them nodded, ”Even if we old folks entered the Witch Mountain Blood Sea, the potential for advancement is not great, far less than for a genius like Ling Chen. It’s better to give the opportunity to the young. As long as we have the current Witch Goddess, he effectively becomes part of our Witch Fiend Sect.”

He’s well aware of Ling Chen’s terrifying potential. Earlier, when the three of them acted, they couldn’t subdue Ling Chen; it was only by using the Saint’s Soul Niche power that Ling Chen was suppressed. If such a person grows, he’d be formidable.

”What you say is correct.”

The Left Guardian’s vision is far reaching. He, after all, has led the Witch Fiend Sect for many years. In terms of power, he might not differ much from the Right Guardian, but as a leader, he’s far more capable.

”The Ling Family lost the Saint’s Soul Niche; they definitely won’t let this pass,”

At this juncture, the Left Guardian turned to the others, ”Ghost Spirit Elder, you stay and guard the Goddess; everyone else, follow me out, let’s prepare to face them.”

Upon hearing this, Thousand Ghosts Saint and the others also became tense. The Left Guardian was right; the Saint’s Soul Niche is the Ling Family’s clan treasure. They will not let such a treasure remain in the Witch Fiend Sect’s hands, so ultimately, the Ling Family will likely launch an unprecedented attack.

Even when the Three Sword Saints waged war on the East Sea previously, it was only part of the Ling Family’s power, not their full strength. But this time, they must prepare to bear the full brunt of the Ling Family’s defenses.

Before Xia Yunxin restores her strength, they must lay out defenses in advance. Instead of relying on the capability to repel the Ling family’s forces, at least they must delay long enough until Xia Yunxin comes out.

The Left Guardian led the others quickly away from the Witch Mountain Blood Sea, leaving only the Ghost Spirit Evil Saint by the Blood Sea. He glanced at the continuously raging Blood Sea and couldn’t help but mutter quietly, ”The survival of the Witch Fiend Sect depends entirely on you, Goddess...”

If the Witch God does not resurrect this time, they likely would not remain on Spirit Snake Island, perhaps abandoning it and leaving. But given the Witch God’s resurrection, they decided to take a gamble. Now that Xia Yunxin has entered the Blood Sea, they can only wait for the result.

As his voice fell, Ghost Spirit Evil Saint quietly sat cross-legged by the Blood Sea, closed his eyes, and patiently waited for Ling Chen and Xia Yunxin to emerge.
