Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 1453: Dark Moon Plateau

After the man disappeared, there was no more pressure in Heaven Tower or the surrounding area. Ling Xi then turned to Di Tousen. ”What exactly happened that day? Why did you slaughter countless people in the past?”

”I—”

”Forget it.” Ling Yun immediately stopped Di Tousen. ”I’m curious about what happened that day, but I think it’s pointless to know everything now. Moreover, my business at this tower is finished, so I’m not interested in knowing about that matter anymore.”

”Husband.”

”No need.” Ling Yun shook his head. ”Everyone has made mistakes in the past, including me. Everything has happened, and we can’t turn back time, so you can forget all those incidents. For now, we only need to focus on everything in front of us, and I will fix everything after I defeat Chaos and replace his position.”

The expressions of Huang Zhimei and the others turned ugly as soon as Ling Yun mentioned it, especially since there was a high possibility that he would be trapped outside their universe if he succeeded Chaos in the future. If that really happened, they wouldn’t be able to see him for a very long time, and they would probably die before they could see him again, except for Ling Xi and Sheng Ming, who were true immortals.

Ling Yun released a soft sigh, understanding their worries. ”You guys know that I have no other choice, right? Honestly, I keep thinking about that matter too, but I’ve made that decision for the safety of all of you. Perhaps I will really be trapped outside this universe after I replace Chaos, but you guys must remember that I will inherit everything from him, and he has already managed to find a way to return to it. Therefore, I’m sure that I won’t have any trouble returning to your side after I inherit everything, so I hope you don’t think too much about it.”

”Are you sure about that, husband?” Huang Zhimei asked.

”Yes.” Ling Yun nodded seriously. ”Moreover, Chaos was able to create Huang Lingzhu and the others in the past, so I believe I can do something for all of you in the future, including turning you all into immortals. If you guys become immortals like them, you will no longer need to worry about time and lifespan, and we will surely be together again in the distant future.”

”What do you think about that?” Ling Xi asked Sheng Mei.

Sheng Mei nodded slightly in response. ”I think our husband is right, Luxuria. Chaos himself has already told him that he will inherit everything from him, including his omnipotence. Our husband may not be able to do so immediately after he succeeds him, but I believe he will succeed, so we must have faith in him. As for turning the other sisters into immortals, I think it is more doable than him returning to this universe, and they will have an unlimited lifespan to wait for him to return to us. However, all of that is still far in the future because he has not yet become the new primordial chaos dragon, and he still has to defeat Chaos, so I think we should restrain ourselves from discussing this matter for now, especially with the other sisters.”

”Yeah, you’re right.” Ling Xi nodded in agreement. ”So, where are we going now? Are we still going to the Dark Moon Plateau to see Shang Wuqing?”

”Let’s go there.” Ling Yun enveloped them with his aura and took them away from the Heaven Tower.

Before long, they had arrived above the Dark Moon Plateau, and they could see many demons inside. However, they couldn’t see Shang Wuqing there, forcing Ling Yun to search for him using the map. ”It seems he hasn’t recovered from his injury two years ago.”

”I think he hasn’t recovered because of me, husband.” Ling Yun turned to Di Tousen, who immediately explained to him. ”Back then, he sacrificed his life essence to escape from you, which caused him to suffer severe injuries. After he returned to this place, I immediately went to find him to kill him, and I struck him with a fairly powerful attack, which aggravated his injuries.”

”Why didn’t you kill him then?” Lu Yi asked.

Di Tousen released a soft sigh. ”My desire to kill him disappeared after he addressed me as his grandmother. After all, he is my last descendant, and he hasn’t called me that for a long time, which shook my resolve to kill him.”

”You’re too soft,” Lu Yi replied with a shake of her head. ”If I were in your shoes, I would have killed him right then.”

Di Tousen turned to Lu Yi. ”You’ve never experienced family and motherhood, so you’ll never understand my feelings. I hate him for his past decision to join Shang Mowang and become a demon, but none of that can change the familial bond between us.”

”Humph.” Lu Yi snorted, unable to refute Di Tousen.

Sheng Ming then asked Di Tousen, ”So, what do you want to do by meeting Shang Wuqing now? Are you thinking of bringing him to our side?”

”No.” Di Tousen denied it. ”Even if I wanted to bring him to our side, he would never be willing to accept it, so I won’t do that. I just want to meet him one more time to apologize, and I won’t see him again after this.”

”Hey!” Di Tousen looked at Ling Xi. ”Did you forget that Shang Wuqing has connections with Xie Zuzhou? He told him about our husband, and that old devil sent Qi Wuhei and Zu Tian’er to this domain to capture our husband, remember?”

Di Tousen naturally hadn’t forgotten about the incident, and it was one of the reasons she asked Ling Yun to accompany her to see Shang Wuqing. ”Are you going to kill my grandson, husband?”

”I usually never forgive my enemies, but I’ll make an exception for you this time.” Ling Yun pulled Di Tousen into his embrace and kissed her. ”Based on your previous words, I know you deeply care for Shang Wuqing; otherwise, you would have killed him back then. Therefore, I won’t kill him because I don’t want you to have regrets in your heart, and I’ll only do something to prevent him from getting involved with Xie Zuzhou again.”

”Are you going to enslave him?”
