Chapter 20: Family Lunch Part I

Ling Yun, Yi Mingxia, and Ling Ling were already seated around the table inside the restaurantʼs VIP room. Ling Ling immediately called the waitress, and she ordered quite a several dishes such as Beijing Roasted Duck, Dumplings, Chow Mein, Wonton Soup, and several other dishes. And for their drinks, Ling Ling only ordered Chinese Tea and some soft drinks.

Yi Mingxia turned to her daughter in surprise, as all the dishes she ordered were her favorites. Even Ling Yun himself was surprised by that, he didnʼt expect that his big sister would still remember their motherʼs favorite dishes, even though they had been separated for twenty years.

After Ling Ling finished ordering everything, she turned her head and giggled at her mother. ”Hehe, you donʼt have to look at me like that, Mom. Of course, I still remember everything.”

Yi Mingxia nodded and caressed her head. ”Are you going to live in Hangzhou in the future, Lingʼer?”

”At first, I was only going to stay here for a few days, Mom.” Ling Ling then was silent for a moment. ”Since I have found you now, so I will stay with you and Yunʼer. But before that, we will go buy a house for ourselves, because I donʼt want you to continue living in a rent house like now.”

Yi Mingxia was taken aback by her daughterʼs words. ”But, Lingʼer-”

”You donʼt reject me, Mom.” Ling Ling then rested her head on her motherʼs shoulder and continued. ”Weʼve been apart for twenty years, Mom. Whatʼs more, youʼve lived hard all this time, and you even had to raise Yunʼer alone. So from now on, Iʼll do my best to make you happy, Mom.”

”Alright.” Yi Mingxia finally nodded in agreement.

Ling Yun did not say anything, and he would not refuse her wish, as long as his mother could be happy.

*cracks*

They turned towards the entrance, and they saw Yi Mingzhu walking in, and her face was filled with a smile.

”Iʼm really happy about this, you guys are finally together again, Big Sis, Lingʼer.” Yi Mingzhu said as she sat in front of them, then she looked at her niece. ”Twenty years have passed, you have grown up, and become this beautiful, Lingʼer”

”Hehe.” Ling Ling giggled at her words. ”Thatʼs because my mother is also beautiful, Aunt Mingzhu.”

Yi Mingzhu nodded in agreement, she also knew that her big sister was indeed very beautiful, even when she was young, many men were infatuated with her. She then curiously asked. ”But how did the two of you suddenly meet? Iʼve even been looking for news about you, but Ling Xiao intentionally covered up all information about you, Lingʼer.”

”Humph!” Ling Ling snorted angrily at that, then said harshly. ”That bastard intentionally sent me overseas since I was seven years old because I kept antagonizing that damn whore, especially after that damn whore gave birth to a daughter for him.”

Yi Mingxia and Yi Mingzhu smiled bitterly at her words, they really couldnʼt believe that Ling Ling could utter such obscenities. Because when she was little, Ling Ling was a gentle and kind girl, but now she has changed so drastically.

”As for how we were able to reunite, itʼs because of my little brother.” Ling Ling said as she pointed at Ling Yun. ”But at first he deliberately lied to me, he even said that his name was Fei Yun, even though he already knew that I was his big sister!”

Yi Mingzhu turned to her nephew in surprise, she didnʼt expect that he was the one who brought them together. Moreover, she knew very well that Ling Yun had never wanted to hear about his father and big sister before. ”How did you meet Lingʼer, Yunʼer?”

”Well? Itʼs my first time meeting you, so why should I immediately acknowledge you as my big sister? Moreover, you havenʼt contacted mom all this time. Thatʼs why I decided to dig some information from you first, before I decided to take you to meet our mom. ” Ling Yun casually replied as he shrugged, then he turned to Yi Mingzhu, and explained to her how he got to meet Ling Ling and Ling Yin.

After Ling Yun finished explaining to her, Yi Mingzhu sighed softly. ”Well, maybe itʼs fateʼs will, and the three of you can reunite as a family.”

Not long after, the VIP room door opened again. This time, it was Ling Yin who walked in, but she was instantly surprised to see Yi Mingxia and the others. ”Sister Mingxia? Mingzhu? And Fei Yun?”

”Long time no see, Yin.” Yi Mingxia said with a gentle smile, she then turned to her daughter. ”You didnʼt tell her about our reunion, Lingʼer?”

Ling Ling shook her head as she laughed softly. ”Hehe, I purposely didnʼt tell Aunt Yin, Mom.”

”Oh, God! It is you, Sister Mingxia!” Ling Yin exclaimed softly, she then hugged Yi Mingxia for a while. ”I didnʼt expect to see you again after twenty years, Sister Mingxia. Moreover, it was Ling Ling who managed to find you first.”

Yi Mingxia nodded with a smile. ”I also didnʼt expect that I would finally be able to reunite with Lingʼer, Yin.”

”But this is good, Sister Mingxia. Lingʼer has been trying to find you all this time, but you seem to be hiding on purpose.” Ling Yin said as she sat down beside Yi Mingzhu. Then she turned to Ling Yun, and she raised her eyebrows, as she still had many questions about him in her heart. ”What is your relationship with Fei Yun, Sister Mingxia?”

Ling Ling laughed hearing that, she then explained. ”He lied to us, Aunt Yin. His name is not Fei Yun but Ling Yun, and he is my little brother.”

”What!?” Ling Yin shrieked hearing that, she then looked at Ling Yun seriously. After some time, she sighed softly. ”No wonder I feel familiar with his face, as his face is so similar to my stupid brother.”

Ling Yun frowned at that, and he coldly said. ”You donʼt need to mention him in front of me, let alone associate me with him, because heʼs just a stranger to me.”
