Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 18: Reunion

Ling Ling immediately called out to him. ”Fei Yun? You also do exercise here?”

”Yes.” Ling Yun nodded to her, as he started to warm up.

Ling Ling continued to run on the treadmill, but her eyes continued to stare at Ling Yun. Ever since she met him, she kept having strange feelings toward him, and it made her feel confused about her feelings. ʼWho exactly is he? What exactly made me feel so close to him? I know that this feeling is not love, but I also donʼt know what this feeling is.ʼ

Ling Yun could feel that Ling Ling kept staring at him, but he stayed cool. After warming up for a few minutes, he then used the treadmill beside Ling Ling, as he teased her. ”You better not keep looking at me like that, Miss Ling. Otherwise, youʼll fall in love with me later.”

Ling Ling was stunned for a moment by his words, she didnʼt deny that Ling Yun was handsome, but he was too shameless. ”You are too narcissistic, Fei Yun! I admit that you are indeed handsome, but you are too young for me.”

”How can you say that Iʼm too young for you, Miss Ling? Thereʼs a saying ʼlove knows no ageʼ, you know?” Ling Yun said with a smile, as he turned to Ling Ling.

[Haha! Did you fall in love with your big sister just because she resembles your mother so much, Ling Yun?] Ling Xi teased him as she giggled.

Ling Yun did not answer Ling Xiʼs question, as he could not hide his thoughts from her, and he was indeed attracted to Ling Ling, because she was so similar to their mother.

Ling Ling was speechless, she knew that Ling Yunʼs words were true, since her friends overseas were the same, and some of them even had partners who were much older than them.

Ling Yun chuckled, seeing his big sister silent like that, and he said it again. ”Moreover, I donʼt like women my age, and I prefer women who are older than me.”

Ling Ling was truly amused by his words. ”Arenʼt you weird, Fei Yun? Itʼs natural for women to look for older men, but itʼs unnatural for men to look for older women.”

Ling Yun shook his head at her. ”Whether male or female, we have our preferences, Miss Ling. As for my case, I feel uncomfortable with women my age.”

”You are indeed right, everyone does have their preferences regardless of their gender.” Ling Ling then turned to him. ”Do you have a girlfriend, Fei Yun?

”I donʼt have a girlfriend for now, but I already have someone I love.” Ling Yun then asked her back. ”How about you, Miss Ling? Do you already have a boyfriend? With your beauty, Iʼm sure there must be a lot of men who are crazy about you.”

Hearing Ling Yunʼs question, Ling Ling could only sigh heavily. She then looked ahead and ran on the treadmill even faster, as she answered him with deep sorrow. ”For 20 years, I couldnʼt meet and contact my mother, Fei Yun. And I always miss her in my heart, so I donʼt want to be in a relationship with any man before I manage to find her.

Unfortunately, I donʼt know where she is now, and I donʼt know how to contact her either.”

Ling Yun fell silent hearing that, and he thought things through first before he asked again. ”What if your mother remarried, Miss Ling? And what if she already has another child?”

Without a second thought, Ling Ling immediately answered him firmly. ”If my mother remarried, I will fully support her as long as she is happy. And if she does have another child, that means we are siblings, so I will treat her child as my family.”

Ling Yun inwardly sighed. He could reunite them, but he felt indecisive and selfish. It was because he was afraid, he was afraid that their mother would care more about his big sister, since they had been separated for 20 years.

Before long, he sighed softly and made up his mind, and he asked her again. ”Do you have any other activities after this, Miss Ling? If you have nothing else to do, then I would like to take you somewhere else.”

Ling Ling did not immediately answer Ling Yunʼs question, and she suspiciously looked at him, as she raised her eyebrows.

”You donʼt need to be suspicious of me like that.” Ling Yun shook his head at her, then he continued with a serious expression. ”I can assure you that you wonʼt regret coming with me, but you will certainly regret it, if you donʼt want to come with me, because maybe Iʼll change my mind again later.”

Seeing Ling Yunʼs serious expression, Ling Ling pondered in her heart for a while. In the end, she chose to accept his invitation. ”Alright, I have nothing else to do after this, so Iʼll come with you.”

After that, they continued their exercise, and they both did some strenuous exercise, while they continued to talk about each other.

An hour and a half later, both of them had finished their exercise. Before they left, Ling Ling went to the locker room to change her clothes first, and she followed Ling Yun afterward.

On their way back home, Ling Yun and Ling Ling kept on exchanging stories about their experiences, and the closeness in their hearts made them quickly become close.

Sometime later, they arrived in front of Ling Yunʼs house, he then said to Ling Ling. ”You can knock on that door, Iʼm sure that you two will be very happy.”

”What do you mean by that, Fei Yun?” Ling Ling asked in confusion.

Ling Yun shook his head, then he pushed Ling Ling forward. ”Go on, knock on that door.”

Ling Ling didnʼt understand why Ling Yun insisted on asking her to knock on the door, she then nodded and walked forward, and she knocked on the door slowly.

*Cracks*

”Yunʼer-” Yi Mingxia didnʼt continue her words. Her body trembled violently as soon as she saw Ling Ling, and involuntarily tears started to flow from the corners of her eyes.

Even though she has not seen her daughter for 20 years, but her feelings as a mother are very sharp. In addition, Ling Lingʼs face was very similar to hers, so she was certain that she was her daughter.

Ling Ling also looked at her mother in disbelief, tears flowed from the corners of her eyes, her body was also trembling violently, and the burden in her heart for 20 years disappeared instantly.

”Lingʼer!”

”Mom!”

Yi Mingxia and Ling Ling shouted in unison, then they hugged each other, and they cried loudly.
