Chapter 1939: Section 1940 Peach Heart Theater

When Shura asked this question, everyone looked at Hasta.

Hasta’s eyebrows slightly lowered, and his usually stern face rarely showed a hint of melancholy: ”The old friend I am talking about is my... mentor, Miberay.”

After Hasta mentioned Miberay’s name, Lapuye and Asetos showed an expression of ”as expected.”

Others might not know who Miberay was, but the Controller of the Crown Star Church and the century-old Asetos were aware.

From New Calendar 2300 to New Calendar 4100, it happened to be the Southern Domain Wizards’ Realm’s cyclical rising period, countless geniuses emerged like bamboo shoots after the rain, active in the world. Although not the pinnacle period, that era was also called the Goldfall Era. Miberay was a figure active during this time.

He also came from the Crown Star Church, a very distinguished Prophet Wizard, who once ranked among the top ten of the 108 Observers.

——There were Observers during the Goldfall Era, and there were 108 of them at that time. The higher the rank among the Observers, the stronger the overall strength.

Miberay’s ability to rank in the top ten speaks to his strength, and it is said he was only one step away from advancing to Legend.

A Prophet Wizard reaching the Legendary Realm is extremely rare. Miberay reaching such heights was terrifying to the current generation.

However, someone so naturally gifted suddenly disappeared in the end.

The outside world only knew that in New Calendar 4067, Miberay never appeared in the Southern Domain again. The Crown Star Church’s statement at the time was that Miberay had left the Southern Domain to journey to otherworldly lands.

But Lapuye knew this was just an excuse. Some ancient texts clearly recorded that Miberay’s disappearance had another reason...

After Hasta mentioned Miberay’s name, many modern-day Wizards were puzzled, but some well-educated old Wizards seemed to recall something, whispering and explaining to those around them.

Hasta remained silent for a moment, then continued: ”My mentor, outwardly claimed to travel the Endless Plane in search of a breakthrough opportunity. But in truth, it was just a guise.”

”The chance for breakthrough was real; he wasn’t traveling but going to a theater.”

Hasta did not say which theater, but judging by previous actions, it’s not hard to guess Miberay went to the theater mentioned by Dororo.

This explained one thing: the theater Dororo mentioned had already appeared during the Goldfall Era.

Yet they still did not know what exactly this theater represented?

”If I remember correctly, the theater you are talking about is the Peach Heart Theater, right?” At this point, an elderly voice chimed in, and it was Lapuye speaking.

Lapuye, as the Controller of the Crown Star Church, upon opening his mouth, instantly drew everyone’s attention.

Hasta nodded: ”It is indeed the Peach Heart Theater.”

Peach Heart Theater? Almost none present had heard of this name, all wore a puzzled expression. Including the Observers, the vast majority held questioning looks.

”It’s perfectly normal for you not to have heard of the Peach Heart Theater, because the last time this theater descended upon the Southern Domain was over three thousand years ago. That was during the period when Miberay vanished.”

”The Peach Heart Theater stayed in the Southern Domain for less than a month before leaving. However, during this month, countless geniuses perished in the theater in succession, from one perspective, the appearance of the Peach Heart Theater actually hastened the decline of the Goldfall Era.”

Lapuye scanned the crowd: ”You may not know, but the Witcher Organization you represent, as long as it has survived from the Goldfall Era to now, there’s definitely a record of the Peach Heart Theater in the internal data. After today, you might as well go back and ask.”

Although Lapuye advised everyone to go back and inquire, this questioning was merely to confirm the existence of the Peach Heart Theater. Lapuye still briefly shared some of the secrets he knew about the Peach Heart Theater.

The Peach Heart Theater is a very peculiar existence. It is open to all intelligent races, whether humans or humanoids, whether Transcendents or ordinary people, as long as you get a ticket from the ticket booth, you can go in to watch the performance.

The ticket booth appears randomly anywhere in the world after the Peach Heart Theater lands, and there’s a limited number of tickets sold by each booth.

At this point, Lapuye glanced at Dororo: ”Thus, if anyone gets a ticket because Dororo reported the first location of the ticket booth, they owe Dororo a favor.”

Dororo actually only needed to say the Peach Heart Theater was about to land in the Southern Domain to already command the attention of the exchange meeting. If he was willing to share the first ticket booth location, then anyone who profits from it naturally owes Dororo a favor.

If Lapuye hadn’t pointed it out, it wouldn’t have mattered, but he specifically mentioned it; if someone really got a ticket because of this, the favor would be owed.

”The premise of owing a favor is that the ticket should benefit the audience. Yet you previously said countless geniuses perished in the Peach Heart Theater, can it really be profitable?” It was Evan asking, with unknown intentions, but his question was precisely what others wanted to know.

Lapuye: ”According to the records I’ve seen, the Peach Heart Theater should be harmless to the audience.”

Lapuye’s explanation still seemed hesitant because, after all, he was not of the Goldfall Era. At this moment, Hasta’s addition dispelled his concerns.

”Yes, the Crowned Star One is correct. The Peach Heart Theater is harmless to the audience, and the audience is sure to gain some benefits.” After Hasta finished speaking, his eyes slightly narrowed: ”Regarding the danger, it’s never the audience, but the actors participating in the theater performances.”

Then, Hasta revealed a secret from more than three thousand years ago.

”The ticket booth sold not only tickets to the Peach Heart Theater but also forms to register as actors. Those who perished in the Peach Heart Theater were all people who took the actor forms.”

In other words, those performing for the audience were actually people holding the actor forms. And these people were the ones truly shrouded in danger.

”What specific danger? What does ’perished’ mean?” Evan asked.

Hasta shook his head: ”I did not become a registered actor of the Peach Heart Theater, so I don’t know. But, what I do know is that more than ninety percent of the actors died in the Peach Heart Theater. Even those who survived may not make it out of the theater, and they become employees of the Peach Heart Theater, drifting with it through the Pan-Dimensional Plane...”

Hasta bowed his head, speaking softly: ”My mentor was one of the surviving actors, yet he still didn’t escape the theater. With so many years past, I don’t even know if he’s still alive.”

Hasta’s explanation provided the crowd with some enlightenment as to why Hasta was searching for Miberay in the Peach Heart Theater. But there remained some unclear points: ”Given the danger of becoming a registered actor in the Peach Heart Theater, why would anyone want to be an actor?”

Anything challenging inevitably offers greater rewards. Now they only know actors are very dangerous, but what are the rewards? Are these rewards worthwhile for those risking great danger to register as actors in the Peach Heart Theater?

Regarding this question, Hasta shook his head: ”I do not know either, maybe when you go back and find your organization’s internal data, there might be records.”

”However, what I can confirm is that after the Four Corners Wizards’ Realm learned of the Peach Heart Theater’s descent into the Southern Domain, many people, all naturally gifted, came from afar. They weren’t interested in being the audience; their sole aim was to register as actors.”

Although the benefits of becoming a registered actor in the Peach Heart Theater remain unknown, the entire Four Corners Wizards’ Realm moved because of it, indicating surely it offers astonishing rewards, whether even risking a nine-to-one chance of dying, it was a lure for many to enter.

Moreover, Hasta’s mentor also entered the Peach Heart Theater seeking breakthrough opportunities. Miberay himself was one of the top Prophet Wizards of his time, and even he believed the Peach Heart Theater harbored an opportunity for him to break through to Legend, then the credibility of this information would certainly increase tremendously.

If the Peach Heart Theater indeed contained the opportunity for a legendary breakthrough, then the prophecy revealed by Dororo would undoubtedly stir a true shockwave in the Southern Domain!
