Chapter 1883: Chapter 1884 The Green Mist Strikes

After ending the call with Hua Queque, Angel put away the Mini Signal Tower and fell into thought.

In the previous conversation, Angel used the Illusion Technique to simulate the scene Hua Queque described. Judging by the imagery, it indeed seemed to be in the Wilderness of Dreams.

Though the scene was dim, you could still see the youth’s rather handsome profile.

Popota had already restored his true face from the Alien shell.

There was another point that made Angel somewhat pensive.

Hua Queque only saw her joy holding hands with Popota, but Angel saw a pitch-black background. To Hua Queque, this background might be the shadow of the mountains, but Angel discovered something unusual in this background.

He saw some things floating in mid-air, seemingly... fluff.

Just a day ago, near the Civilization’s Mother Tree, he witnessed the city prototype of the Dream Plant Fairy, where there were many fluffy little houses.

And the mountain shadow behind the scene might not be a mountain at all, but the Mother Tree?

In other words, Hua Queque and Popota came near the Mother Tree in the future?

”Dororo once said that the future images seen by the Baiyuan Clan were just among the numerous choices that could happen in the future, the ones most probable to occur.” Angel murmured to himself, meaning the scene Hua Queque saw might not be the true future, but the probability of it happening is actually quite high?

Would the Dream Plant Fairies, by nature, allow humans near the Mother Tree?

Or did something happen in the future, prompting me to decide to let them go to the Mother Tree?

The more Angel thought, the more confused he became, so he simply stopped thinking about it. After all, it wasn’t anything major, and when the time comes, he would deal with it.

However, another matter required a little more attention from Angel.

The soul return of Popota to the Abyss.

Angel channelled his spiritual power into the bracelet, where among many miscellaneous items, there was a space isolated by the Mist Illusion, which was where Popota temporarily stayed.

Through the Illusion Mist, Angel saw Popota sitting at a table.

On the table was a nest of Pliant Worm, directly in front of it, there was a glass vessel containing a Transforming Soft-bodied Insect wriggling inside. Popota observed the ecology of the Transforming Soft-bodied Insect while writing down specific data with paper and pen.

After completing the recording, he placed the Transforming Soft-bodied Insect into a special compartment in the insect nest.

He then took out a few unhatched eggs and recorded their conditions.

While recording, Popota suddenly paused, not in thought, but coughing quietly with his hand over his mouth. With each cough, crimson blood intermingled with yellowish-green liquid flowed through his fingers.

Furthermore, some fragments of internal organs were also coughed out.

Popota looked at the filth in his palm, seemingly understanding something, with a trace of sorrow flashing in his eyes.

However, the sorrow didn’t last long; his tasks were not yet finished. Having recorded the few unhatched eggs, he still needed to write down the insights on cultivating the Transforming Soft-bodied Insect.

He didn’t have the time to dwell in melancholy.

”Time is running out... no need to spare Magic Power anymore.” Popota murmured, and a blue shimmer of water appeared in his palm. With a sweep of the Cleansing Spell, the filth vanished.

Following that, Popota resumed his work.

The final work.

Angel originally wanted to say something to Popota, but seeing him so intently writing down experimental records and cultivation insights, he ultimately kept silent and slowly withdrew.

As Angel retracted his spiritual power, Popota seemed to sense something. He glanced around the Mist and then turned back to continue writing feverishly.

”Hua Queque said he would return to the Abyss tomorrow morning.” Angel pinched the bridge of his nose, ”So when the time comes, I will bring him into the Wilderness of Dreams.”

As for what he wanted to tell Popota, it wouldn’t be too late to mention it after they entered the Wilderness of Dreams.

...

In the following time, Angel didn’t continue immersing himself in researching the Green Patterns but entered the Wilderness of Dreams.

Based on the time, the green mist spewed by the Mother Tree should soon be drifting near Originheart City. By then, the Dream Plant Fairy would appear.

Although Angel had previously communicated with the Mother Tree to keep the Dream Plant Fairy restrained and maintain balance with humans, thinking that the Dream Plant Fairy shouldn’t be hostile upon first meeting, Angel decided to enter Originheart City just in case.

Angel chose to position himself in the Sky Tower.

When he reached the top of the Sky Tower, no one was there, not even Frode. Angel didn’t mind, leisurely walking to the highest point of Originheart City, looking into the distance.

With the naked eye, there was nothing unusual. But when Angel switched to God’s View, he clearly saw, dozens of miles north of Originheart City, a rolling green mist approaching.

Compared to yesterday, the green mist was much thinner, nearly indistinguishable from ordinary winter morning fog. This was normal; if one looked beyond the green mist, they would see lush forests. Many seeds were consumed along the way, and considering the ongoing battles, some loss was understandable.

In the green mist, Angel again saw those Dream Plant Fairies he had encountered by the lake yesterday. It seemed his speculation yesterday was correct, that these Dream Plant Fairies would likely be the first of their Alien Clan to officially contact humans in this realm.

Angel neither interfered with the progress of the green mist nor guided the Dream Plant Fairies away, merely observing silently before looking away.

He calculated that unless something unexpected happened, the green mist would reach Originheart City in about twenty minutes.

Before the green mist arrived, Angel planned to chat with Jon. However, before he could act, he heard a loud rumbling noise from not far away.

Soon after, a shadow swept across the street, prompting all the residents to look up.

It was a Skycraft that appeared in the sky above Originheart City.

The residents living in Originheart City somewhat understood this Skycraft, as it was currently the only means of transportation to the outside of the city.

The Skycraft basically made a round trip each day, and having seen it often, although the curiosity remained, it wasn’t as startling as the first time it appeared.

But this time was different.

Normally when the Skycraft arrived, there was noise, but at most, it was the sound of the wind as it pierced through the air. Never before had it made such a grand, roaring noise that shook the entire city.

Because of this, the residents of Originheart City, even those who usually preferred staying indoors, came out of their houses, curiously lifted their heads, looking towards the Skycraft, wondering what had happened.
