Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1540  fortuitous opportunity

”Finally, peace…” Not too long after Qing Yi and Chun Hua left the sect to search for their still missing senior brother, Feng Chen let out a somewhat exhausted sigh as he sat down in the middle of his cultivation room.

After breaking through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm and showing off his strength to the different wandering cultivators in the Soul Ascension Realm who had recently joined and become a part of the sect, Feng Chen had been busy entertaining these Soul Ascension Realm cultivators without any time to relax and properly assess the changes after his breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Part of him had been somewhat unwilling to spend so much time on these new Soul Ascension Realm cultivators given that he had just recently broken through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm and wanted to spend more time consolidating and examining his strength.

However, as the sect master, he understood that he couldnʼt neglect these Soul Ascension Realm cultivators, as they were not just important for the future development of the sect but could potentially also cause a lot of damage to the sect if left on their own.

Establishing his presence in the eyes of these Soul Ascension Realm cultivators was important and was also the main reason behind his recent breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm, as he understood full well that there would be no way for him to earn the respect of these wandering cultivators if his strength was insufficient.

Different from someone like Elder Song, who managed to earn the respect of everyone through his management of the sect and excellent training of the younger generation of the sect, he, as the sect master of the Star Shattering Sect, had to have a certain level of strength to back up his position in front of these wandering cultivators.

After all, a weak vice sect master wasnʼt too out of place if he was good at his job, while a weak sect master on the other hand was unheard of.

Even if he was someone from the younger generation and still in training in the eyes of the wandering cultivators, he had to display a level of strength befitting someone being nurtured as a sect master of an ancient hidden sect.

Because of this, he ended up setting out to search for a way to breakthrough shortly after the first Soul Ascension Realm cultivator entered the sect. Unwilling to show himself in front of these wandering cultivators before he was at least in the Soul Ascension Realm and strong enough to face off against them.

In the end, his short leave from the sect to search for an opportunity to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm had ended up with him returning to the old Flying Sword Sect that now acted as one of the largest branches of the Star Shattering Sect. Hoping that returning to his old home would allow him to grasp the opportunity to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm.

”However, instead of finding an opportunity to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm, I ended up finding the old cultivation ground of the founder…” Muttering this to himself as he thought about what happened a few weeks earlier when he had returned to the Flying Sword Sect, Feng Chen could not help smiling wryly to himself.

Back then, he had returned to his old home to find a peaceful place to cultivate and break through to the Soul Ascension Realm without potentially being disturbed by the influx of new Soul Ascension Realm cultivators.

However, upon stepping inside of the cultivation room that belonged to the sect master of the Flying Sword Sect and also the cultivation room he had spend the majority of his life inside of, he ended up discovering that the cultivation room actually had hidden corridor barely visible with his strength at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm due to the somewhat damaged formation concealing the corridor.

Following that corridor out of curiosity, as he understood that it should have been something left behind by the old founder of the sect who had originally constructed the cultivation room of the Flying Sword Sectʼs sect master, Feng Chen ended up finding himself in a brand-new cultivation room far superior to the original cultivation room.

Although it wasnʼt comparable to the cultivation environment on the Shattered Star Peaks, it wasnʼt that far off, something that was incredibly shocking considering that the cultivation environment of the Shattered Star Peaks even surpassed that of some major powers best cultivation environments.

In other words, the secret cultivation room was comparable to the cultivation environments and rooms used by a major power on the continent, something that was completely outside what should be possible for a small sect like the Flying Sword Sect.

However, the quality of spiritual qi inside the hidden cultivation room was far from the most shocking thing he ended up finding, as there were also several large bookshelves filled with cultivation manuals and combat techniques far beyond anything he had seen before. Even though the Dao of the Sword was the most prominent among the different manuals and combat techniques, it was far from the only one.

Not just that, but he also found information on the Dao Domain Lord Realm that he had only recently learnt about from Xuan Hao among the different books and manuals on the bookshelves. Describing both the Myriad Path and Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm in great detail up to the Late Stage. Only lacking information on the Peak Stage of the realm.

More shocking, he found all the things that he would need to break through to the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm inside of the hidden cultivation room- No… More than just what he needed, there were enough spiritual stones and source crystals to easily support another three or four people to breakthrough to the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm if they reached the minimum requirements for attempting to break through to the realm.

The only thing he himself lacked to breakthrough to the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm Initial Stage was for his comprehension of the Dao of the Sword to reach the Elementary Realm.

However, given the vast number of scroll and books on the Dao of the Sword present inside of the hidden cultivation room, Feng Chen didnʼt feel the slightest bit of pressure in this regard and was confident in being able to reach the Elementary Realm of the Dao of the Sword… And so, filled with confidence, he secluded himself inside of the hidden cultivation room of the founder of the Flying Sword Sect and ultimately managed to break through to the Initial Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm through the Singular Path, like how Chu Yang had broken through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

The main difference between Feng Chen and Chu Yangʼs breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm being that the information Feng Chen had managed to get on the Dao Domain Lord Realm was far more complete compared to the information that Chu Yang had managed to get his hands on.

Not just that, but the technique that the two of them used to reach the Dao Domain Lord Realm was also different.

Chu Yangʼs being a relatively neutral one that had no requirements so to speak outside of the normal requirements for breaking through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm, while the technique Feng Chen used to breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm was one that was fully focused on the Dao of the Sword. Requiring one to have comprehended the Dao of the Sword to breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm with it.

Of course, the technique Chu Yang used for his breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm was also in Feng Chenʼs hands, but it was inferior when compared to the one that was specially crafted for someone comprehending the Dao of the Sword.

In the end, after his breakthrough to the Dao Domain Lord Realm, Feng Chen could be considered stronger than a normal Initial Stage Dao Domain Lord Realm, as he ended up confidently facing off against the newly recruited Soul Ascension Realm cultivators of the sect.

Only now that everything had slowly started to settle down, did he return to his cultivation quarters on the Shattered Star Peaks to start looking over the rest of the cultivation manuals, combat techniques and other things found inside of the hidden cultivation room, as he had prioritized his breakthrough before looking through the rest of the things he found in the hidden cultivation room.

After all, even if he was curious about the hidden cultivation room and the books inside of it that might help shed some light on the background of the mysterious founder of the Flying Sword Sect, he had to first stabilize the situation inside of the Shattering Star Sect.
