Chapter 1669: Chapter 579: Xiang River Winds (Daily Life)_3

Back in the suite downstairs.

Shen Yuyan took off her coat, opened her laptop, and continued organizing files.

Her fingertips flew over the keyboard, her efficiency as high as ever.

But her heartbeat just wouldn’t slow down.

To her, power is the sexiest outfit a man can wear.

If it’s coupled with good looks, it would be perfect.

Currently, Tang Song is the top of the line.

He carries an allure that lies between nobility and danger.

Her attraction to him is almost comparable to an ”Enchanting Demon”.

Just being near him feels like being wrapped in an addictive aura.

Shen Yuyan squeezed her legs together; the black stockings gently rubbed, creating a wonderful sensation.

Thoughts surged in her mind.

Immediately, her eyes flashed.

Lin Muxue is going to an LVMH social event in the evening, has to leave a bit after four, and probably won’t be back until very late.

This is a rare opportunity to spend time alone with Tang Song.

She must prepare well for it.

...

o’clock in the afternoon.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, Victoria Harbour was bathed in a layer of golden-orange twilight.

Tang Song leaned back on the single sofa, holding a book, his posture relaxed, yet his gaze tranquil and focused.

The spa at the Four Seasons Hotel did live up to its reputation, fully relaxing him.

His body felt reset, and even his mind was much clearer.

”Ring—” The phone suddenly rang.

[Shen Yuyan]

He answered, ”Hello, Shirley.”

Shen Yuyan’s cheerful voice came through, ”President Tang, Luna has left the hotel, are you free now?”

”Uh... I’m free.” Tang Song’s lips curved up as he closed his book.

”The weather is really nice today, and it’s the weekend. How about a night tour of Xiang River? Let me show you some local culture and taste some authentic cuisine?”

”Sure, sounds good.”

He was originally planning to go out with this school beauty for a stroll and dinner tonight.

Didn’t expect her to invite him first.

”So when should we leave?”

”Anytime you like.”

Just as she finished speaking.

”Knock knock knock—” There was a knock on the door.

A slightly playful voice came through the receiver, ”Then please, President Tang, open the door.”

Tang Song chuckled, hung up the phone, and got up to open the door.

Outside the door, Shen Yuyan was standing there beautifully.

Wearing sneakers, jeans, a fitted base layer, with a light blue sun-protective shirt on top.

She looked fresh and clean, completely different from the special assistant in formal attire earlier.

”Hello, President Tang, shall we go?” Shen Yuyan tilted her head slightly, exuding an attractive youthful energy.

...

As they stepped out of the Four Seasons Hotel, a gentle breeze hit their faces, carrying a salty dampness.

Tang Song curiously asked, ”Where are we headed? Any plans, Assistant Shen?”

Shen Yuyan suddenly stopped, gently turned around, and stood before him.

”President Tang,” she said seriously yet playfully, ”Our company may not have a punch-in system, but we do care about working hours, right? It’s Saturday evening, I haven’t signed a servitude contract, and neither should you need to be online all the time.”

Tang Song paused, seemingly understanding what she meant, and smiled, ”Of course, no problem, Yuyan.”

Shen Yuyan’s eyes flashed with a cunning hint of success, ”Let’s go, Tang Song, let’s take a ride on the Xiang River subway, gogogo.”

She waved her hand freely, her steps light, like an old schoolmate heading to the night market.

Tang Song watched her back, a smile on his lips, and followed suit.

The two shuttled through the crowd, walking all the way from the Four Seasons Hotel to Sheung Wan.

Shen Yuyan clearly familiarized herself with the route in advance, occasionally introducing certain street scenes, sharing a few lighthearted gossip stories.

Chatting and laughing, they swiped their cards into the subway station.

The Hong Kong Island Line subway carriage was clean and bright, and soon reached Tongluowan Station.

Out of the subway entrance, the city night had already lit up.

The dim yellow light filled the streets, neon signs flickered, and the aroma wafted, like a movie just beginning in Xiang River.

Shen Yuyan led him around twists and turns, through a few narrow alleys, finally stopping in front of an old building.

”Here we are!” She pointed to a lit floor upstairs, pulling his arm as they walked up.

Opening the door, a familiar homey scent hit their faces.

The interior was simple, with plastic tables and chairs, but it was popular, filled mostly with locals speaking Cantonese, their voices rising and falling, the sound of spatulas continuously in motion.

The two found a seat by the window.

After some discussion, they ordered a few signature dishes, and Shen Yuyan didn’t forget to add two bottles of San Miguel beer.

Soon, the beer was served first.

She didn’t use a glass, directly raised the bottle, ”Cheers!”

”Cheers.”

The two bottles clinked together with a crisp sound.

Shen Yuyan tilted her head back and took a big gulp, a few strands of hair slightly lifting on her forehead, making her appear very relaxed.

Soon, dishes were brought to the table one by one, mainly featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine and Hong Kong-style barbecued meat.

The colors were vivid, the aroma tempting.

Tang Song especially liked the honey-glazed char siu and the stir-fried beef noodles.

While eating, Shen Yuyan introduced the place.

”Back in the day, there were over a thousand dai pai dong in Hong Kong, now only twenty or so remain. The licensing regulations are too strict, and many old brands have been eliminated.”

”This place has been around for over 50 years, and the reviews are really good.”

...

Shen Yuyan seemed like a different person, shedding her usual caution and probing, instead radiating the confident and flamboyant demeanor of her university days, her eyes clear and bright.

Tang Song watched her, slightly entranced.

After finishing the lively dai pai dong meal, the two transferred on the Hong Kong Island Line all the way to Tsim Sha Tsui.
