Capítulo 1379: Chapter 506: Can You Block It? The Heart at This Moment

Around 11 a.m., sunlight streamed through the mall’s enormous glass dome, casting a warm glow.

Century Square was bustling with crowds, lively and grand.

The spacious corridors were flanked by a dazzling array of shops, with various brand logos shining brightly under the lights.

Tang Song, dressed in a two-tone hoodie, appeared fresh, sunny, and youthful, contrasting sharply with Xie Shuyu’s mature, elegant, and fashionable demeanor.

Walking side by side in the mall corridor, they drew a lot of attention.

“Thank you, Sister Shuyu.” Tang Song slightly tilted his head, inhaling the mesmerizing fragrance emanating from the lady executive.

Xie Shuyu offered a mild smile, her voice gentle yet appropriately measured: “Why be so polite with me? I’m your girlfriend, this little help is really no big deal. I have some connections in Quan City, I’ll make arrangements for you later.”

She wasn’t at all a cold character; on the contrary, her excellent emotional and intellectual intelligence often allowed her to accurately grasp the atmosphere and use the most appropriate words to achieve her goals.

Upon hearing her answer, Tang Song’s face immediately broke into a broad smile, “Alright, I like hearing that.”

Having said that, Tang Song reached out to embrace her waist, feeling her soft midriff, he applied slight pressure, pulling her closer.

A sense of fulfillment lingered in his heart, leaving his mood unburdened.

Xie Shuyu’s body tensed slightly, then she gently pushed him away, “Don’t mess around, we’re in public.”

Tang Song lightly pinched her hand, teasing softly, “Sister Shuyu, your words are so sweet today; I’d like a taste.”

“You…” Xie Shuyu’s fair chest rose and fell slightly, wanting to refuse, yet fearing to upset Tang Song, she could only whisper a gentle protest: “It’s not appropriate here.”

Seeing the lady executive’s adorable yet reserved demeanor, Tang Song found it irresistible, stopping in his tracks and leaning forward to kiss her.

The moist and full lips brought an intense warmth and sweetness; gazing at her dignified and stylish face, Tang Song playfully winked.

His swift and bold actions caught Xie Shuyu off guard, leaving her stunned for a few seconds before she reacted.

As she came to her senses, Tang Song quickly retreated, “Indeed, quite sweet.”

“Know your limits.” Sensing the gazes around them, Xie Shuyu’s cheeks flushed with a light blush, and she turned to casually enter a store.

The brief touch between lips and teeth felt like an electric current passing through her body, prompting Xie Shuyu to face away from Tang Song, gently tracing her lips with her fingers.

It wasn’t that she completely resisted such intimate gestures; it was merely that her habit of maintaining distance led her to prefer a certain level of composure and dignity in public.

Tang Song’s initiative and boldness brought her a different kind of thrill.

“Want to buy a phone?” Tang Song strolled to her side, taking out his Huawei Mate X3 and waving it in front of her, “Speaking of which, the one I’m using now was a gift from you, it’s been working great.”

Xie Shuyu looked at the foldable screen phone in his hand, her lips curling slightly.

Her thoughts instantly returned to a private banking event a few months back, where she casually selected several high-end models as gifts for important clients, including the Mate X3.

Because of some affection she had developed for him, she gifted him one, contemplating recruiting him into her company in the future.

Eventually, she lifted her head to glance around, realizing she had casually walked into a Huawei specialty store.

“Your phone doesn’t seem to support 5G, and the Mate 60 just launched, supporting satellite communications. I’ll get you a new one for an upgrade.”

Hearing this, Tang Song chuckled, “If we’re changing, let’s get the same model together, call it a couple’s set, what do you think?”

Xie Shuyu hesitated for a moment before nodding, “Sure, as you say.”

Then, Xie Shuyu pulled him by the arm to the display counter.

The two discussed their choices for a bit, but due to supply shortages, they could only purchase the bundle version with limited models available.

Finally, they bought two Mate 60 Pro+ devices, along with a bunch of accessories.

Xie Shuyu directly swiped her card to pay, doing so with great flair.

Once more, Tang Song felt the warmth of being cared for by the lady executive’s wealth, and couldn’t resist rewarding her with another kiss.

With the cell phones bought, they headed straight to a Japanese restaurant on the mall’s top floor.

Xie Shuyu, quite familiar with the place, ordered dishes for both, including grilled beef, sushi, tempura, and chawanmushi…

The meals arrived quickly; they ate and chatted, discussing topics ranging from work to life, and even their personal interests.

Xie Shuyu rarely relaxed, yet occasionally she’d burst into laughter at Tang Song’s playful remarks.

“Ring ring ring—” The phone rang.

Xie Shuyu glanced at the caller info, hesitated momentarily, then pressed the answer button.

“Go ahead.”

“How extensive is the impact? Are there contingency plans?”

“Alright, I got it. Follow up promptly, contact me anytime with issues.”

After the call ended they exchanged a few words.

Once more, Xie Shuyu’s phone buzzed and the screen lit up.

It was messages from her assistant Min.

Xie Shuyu quickly replied.

Soon, her phone screen lit up repeatedly, a constant stream of messages and calls disrupted the mood between them.

Staring at the screen, Xie Shuyu furrowed her eyebrows, seeming to weigh her options.

A moment later, she took a deep breath, exerted great willpower to silence her phone, and gently tucked it into her bag.

“There’s a minor issue at the new store, but it’s dealt with now, no worries, let’s continue.” She raised her head, her tone calm.

Tang Song smiled and nodded, “Okay, good.”

After lunch, they continued strolling through the mall.

Tang Song suggested catching a movie, promptly buying two tickets to a light-hearted and comedic romantic comedy.
