Chapter 1267: Chapter 477: The Beautician’s Mercedes G-Class 4

After saying hello, his emotions began to stir.

It has indeed been a long time.

Ever since his South East LIONCEL stalled and that incident with Li Jingzhong and Tang Song, he hasn’t actively contacted Zhao Yaqian.

After all, she’s his first love who he liked for over 4 years. Even if he knows it’s impossible now, meeting again still stirs waves in his heart.

”Long time no see.” Zhao Yaqian waved cheerfully, ”Hey, Zhang Wensheng, why do you look like you’ve lost weight?”

”Hehe, I’ve been busy with part-time jobs lately.” Zhang Wensheng scratched the back of his head, looking a bit uneasy.

Jiang Zimu nudged him, laughing: ”This guy hasn’t stopped taking side jobs to maintain his beloved car. He’s now leading a group of part-timers, and he brought me here to make some money too.”

Li Yuanyuan gave a thumbs up and said, ”Way to go, Zhang Wensheng, impressive! Sit down and have some food with us, we still have lots of snacks left, come on!”

”I was waiting for you to say that, haha!” Jiang Zimu immediately sat down next to Zhao Yaqian and started munching on some fries.

The three girls huddled together, chatting away noisily, making the atmosphere very pleasant.

Zhang Wensheng couldn’t help but secretly glance at the smiling Zhao Yaqian across from him, feeling somewhat empty inside.

They hadn’t seen each other for months, and the Zhao Yaqian in front of him no longer matched the junior in his memories.

Her fashionable and chic outfit, exquisite makeup, and luxurious bag made her stand out.

Of course, the biggest changes were in her demeanor, conversation, and poise, which were now elegant and fashionable.

Both familiar and estranged, it was filled with an indescribable sense of distance.

They chatted for quite some time.

”Ring, ring—” The phone rang.

Zhao Yaqian picked up the phone and looked at it; it was an unfamiliar local landline number.

She answered the call softly and said, ”Hello?”

”Hello, is this Ms. Zhao Yaqian?” A gentle and polite male voice came from the other end.

”Yes, and you are?”

”Ms. Zhao, I’m Tong Yuzhe, the client manager from Star Glory Auto Sales. Mr. Tang has prepared a gift for you. Are you available to come to the store to receive it today?”

”Oh!” Zhao Yaqian covered her mouth in surprise and immediately said, ”Yes, I’m available!”

”Great, I’ll send the address of the showroom to your phone shortly. If you need, we can arrange transportation for you.”

”No need, thank you. I’ll make my own way there.” Zhao Yaqian’s heartbeat began to involuntarily accelerate.

An auto sales company? Could the gift Brother Song mentioned this morning be a car?

After hanging up the phone, Zhao Yaqian picked up her bag and said to the three of them, ”I’m sorry, I have to leave now.”

”Huh? What’s so urgent?”

Zhao Yaqian blinked and joked, ”My boyfriend has prepared a gift for me, I need to go pick it up.”

Hearing the words ”boyfriend,” a tinge of bitterness rose in Zhang Wensheng’s mouth.

Li Yuanyuan leaned in with bright eyes full of envy and said, ”How romantic! What kind of gift is it?”

”I’m not quite sure, I’ll find out at the store.” Zhao Yaqian’s tone was light and sweet.

Jiang Zimu grabbed her arm excitedly, ”Qianqian, can I join you? I’m super curious.”

Li Yuanyuan immediately raised her hand, ”I want to go too!”

She wanted to chat more with Zhao Yaqian about Isa Beauty Industry.

Zhao Yaqian hesitated for a moment and nodded, ”Alright, let’s go together, I’ll call a cab.”

She knew nothing about cars; this was her first time picking one up.

Xue was attending the opening ceremony of the Yan Nan Film and Television Base with Brother Song, while Ting was at work.

Having classmates accompany her made her feel more at ease.

”Uh, let me drive you guys there.” Zhang Wensheng stood up and said softly, ”My car stalling last time was due to a bad battery. I replaced it and did a full servicing, and there haven’t been any issues since.”

Jiang Zimu immediately nodded in agreement, ”Yeah, let’s take Wensheng’s car! This guy loves driving, he takes it out every day for a spin, and his skills are top-notch now!”

”Let’s go, my car is parked nearby, it’s quite close.”

Seeing Zhang Wensheng’s expression, Zhao Yaqian didn’t refuse.

Soon, the four of them arrived at the parking lot and got into the familiar South East LIONCEL.

The interior seemed cleaned, neat and tidy, with some pretty decals for decoration.

”Bang!” The door closed firmly.

Zhao Yaqian opened the phone’s map app, entered the address sent by the dealership, and started the navigation.

Zhang Wensheng skillfully started the engine, shifted gears, coordinated with the accelerator and clutch, and the South East LIONCEL smoothly departed.

”Vroom, vroom—” The engine’s roar lingered around them.

Through the rearview mirror inside the car, Zhang Wensheng glanced at Zhao Yaqian, who was sitting in the backseat, feeling a surge of complex emotions.

He had bought this car originally to pursue Zhao Yaqian.

As soon as he got it, he couldn’t help trying to show off in front of her, only to have it stall and the battery fail, making a fool of himself.

This was a hurdle he couldn’t get over in his heart.

So, he kept honing his driving skills and earning money to maintain the car.

Now, he could finally somewhat make up for past regrets, with indescribable emotions stirring within him.

After almost 20 minutes of stop-and-go traffic, they finally reached their destination.

In front of them loomed a modern showroom building, its glass facade reflecting the sunlight, looking grand and luxurious.

Zhang Wensheng’s expression froze as he stared dumbly at the Mercedes-Benz logo hanging prominently.

No wonder this place felt familiar.

He and several dormitory mates who liked cars often visited various 4S dealerships, and they had been here before.

”Mercedes-Benz 4S Dealership?” Li Yuanyuan exclaimed in disbelief, ”Qianqian, your boyfriend’s gift, could it be a car?”

Jiang Zimu’s eyelid twitched, ”No way? Giving a Mercedes? That... that’s too extravagant.”

”I don’t know either, maybe.” Zhao Yaqian bit her lip, her eyes filled with delight.

The four of them stood outside for a moment before heading towards the entrance.

They walked into the spacious and bright showroom.

Immediately, a salesperson waiting on the side approached with a professional smile, ”Hello, how may I assist you?”

Zhao Yaqian smiled and said, ”I’m looking for Tong Yuzhe.”

Just as she spoke, a young man in a dark suit, looking brisk and efficient, jogged over.

”Hello Ms. Zhao, I’m Tong Yuzhe, we spoke just now.” He bowed slightly, his tone polite and enthusiastic, ”Everything is ready; please follow me, I’ll take you there.”

Footsteps echoed in the spacious showroom, crisp and rhythmic.

The group followed Tong Yuzhe, passing rows of display vehicles, rounding a corner, and then the brightly lit car pickup area unfolded before their eyes.

In the center of the view was a car draped with a red dust cover.

The square and robust lines were faintly visible, exuding a unique aesthetic.

Surrounded by various flowers, balloons, and ornaments, it looked both romantic and luxurious.

Seeing this scene, Li Yuanyuan, Jiang Zimu, and Zhang Wensheng were all stunned, feeling their mouths go dry.

Even though they had guessed earlier, actually seeing it was a car left them speechless.

Tong Yuzhe turned around with a smile and said, ”Ms. Zhao, this is the gift Mr. Tang has prepared for you. Please inspect the car, and if everything’s fine, we can proceed with the paperwork immediately.”

Zhao Yaqian’s face was flushed with excitement, and she took a deep breath before walking towards the car.

She already had her answer in mind.

She had mentioned the car and color she liked while drinking and chatting with Ting and Xue before, and she didn’t expect Tang Song to quietly buy it for her.

Two female sales assistants grabbed the soft dust cover and pulled it down with force.

As the red cloth slid off, the imposing Mercedes-Benz G63 revealed itself to everyone.

”G-Class!” Zhang Wensheng blurted out, biting his tongue.

Standing next to Zhao Yaqian, Li Yuanyuan and Jiang Zimu stared blankly at the car, their minds going blank.

Under the dazzling lights, the square and rugged body lines shimmered with a subdued metallic luster, full of a sense of power.

The iconic boxy shape, with its pure white paint job and silver large wheels, looked noble and glamorous, creating a strong visual impact.
