Chapter 1252: Chapter 474: Jing and Wen Ruan’s First Meeting

Huashang Clothing headquarters office building, 8th floor, Chairman’s office.

”Knock, knock, knock—” The sound of knocking at the door is heard.

”Please come in.” He Jingping extinguished the cigarette in his hand and looked up.

He Zhihui and Financial Director Li Mingjie walked quickly into the room.

”Dad.” ”Chairman He.”

He Jingping nodded, signaling them to sit down.

He Zhihui, in contrast to his usual casual demeanor, actively poured tea for the three of them.

”How did things go? Are the people sent off?” He Jingping picked up his teacup and took a sip.

He Zhihui curled his lips, ”Finally gone, the commotion was so big, anyone who didn’t know would think our company was going through a listing audit! Especially that Tang Song—didn’t show up from start to finish, just sent people to slow down the company’s operational efficiency.”

”Alright, say less!” He Jingping spoke sternly, then turned to Li Mingjie and asked, ”Mingjie, is there no problem?”

Li Mingjie answered steadily, ”Yes, their actions were very clean and efficient, mainly checking the financial data like profits, balance sheets, cash flow, and did not delve into specific transaction contracts or conduct detailed research.”

”That’s good.” He Jingping shook his head, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth, ”Seems they just wanted to show their presence. Young people like to express dissatisfaction this way.”

Li Mingjie nodded in agreement, his face showing relief, ”I think so too.”

Obviously, the auditors sent by Tang Song were experienced and professional, likely from a large financial institution’s team.

As a company operating for more than twenty years, Huashang Clothing inevitably has some issues internally.

If the other party really decided to turn things inside out, they certainly could find quite a few loopholes.

Thus, being one of the core executives and the finance director, Li Mingjie was under the most pressure.

Fortunately, the other party did not delve deeply, which relaxed his nerves slightly.

He Jingping pondered for a moment and suddenly spoke, ”Mingjie, in future transactions with related enterprises, make them more standard. Also, adjust the quotes from Global Connect Trade to ensure transparency and fairness, so we aren’t caught later.”

Li Mingjie was slightly startled, nodded, and said, ”Okay, Chairman He. Is it to prepare for the company’s future listing?”

”Yes.” He Jingping said seriously, ”This time served as a wake-up call. The listing audit will be very strict, optimizing in advance is necessary. Try to reduce reliance on related suppliers in the future and introduce more independent third-party suppliers.”

Regarding related transactions, although he had always been restrained, over the years, he had drawn quite a bit of blood from Huashang Clothing, and certainly left traces.

Once the company initiates the listing process, regulatory agencies typically conduct a focused review of the financial status and operations of the past three years.

To pass the audit smoothly, these potential risks must be cut off as soon as possible.

If the joint venture company goes smoothly, two or three years later, Huashang Clothing might indeed have the possibility of listing.

Compared to these large interests, the immediate loss is insignificant.

Just then, the phone suddenly rang.

He Jingping picked up his phone, glanced at the screen, answered the call, and said with a smile: ”President Huang, what made you suddenly think of calling me?”

”Oh? Who?!”

”Gathering Emotion Gold? The trust company in Xiang River?”

”Alright, let’s meet tonight to chat.”

After hanging up the phone, He Jingping’s expression became subtle.

He Zhihui quickly asked, ”What’s wrong, Dad?”

He Jingping waved his hand, signaling him not to speak, and walked to the desk.

Took out a phone book and began dialing on the landline.

”Hello, Brother Zhang, how have you been lately?”

”No major issues, Huashang Clothing will have big moves coming, might hold a shareholders’ meeting soon, just giving you a heads-up. Don’t worry, it’s a good thing!”

”Haha, by the way, we’ve known each other for so many years, if you plan to sell shares, be sure to contact me first.”

”That’s it, goodbye.”

After hanging up the phone, He Jingping made two more calls.

A few minutes later, he returned to the sofa again.

Li Mingjie said quietly, ”Chairman He, is someone trying to acquire our company’s shares?”

He Jingping shook his head, ”It’s just that a trust company in Xiang River suddenly approached Huang Yangming, wanting to buy his 0.8% of shares, but the price wasn’t agreed upon, so he asked me. I just contacted several shareholders and institution heads, none has heard of this.”

Li Mingjie frowned, ”Could it be Huang Yangming trying to raise the price, deliberately creating an excuse? Hoping you would take over.”

”Possibly.” He Jingping pondered for a moment and said quietly to He Zhihui, ”Zhihui, communicate with Wu Wei, the brand new flexible production line at headquarters can divert some capacity to help Songmei Clothing with OEM.”

”Dad, why are you doing this? Isn’t this showing weakness to Tang Song? Moreover, our own brand’s capacity is already insufficient!”

”No need to drag this any longer, do as I say!” He Jingping said sternly, ”Our most important task now is to stabilize the situation and ensure the smooth advancement of the joint venture company. As for other issues, they can be resolved when the time is right.”

The two newly upgraded product lines at Huashang Clothing this time, one serves the own brand, and the other is used for OEM customization.

The OEM line is already set for the joint venture company, crucial for future business layout, and cannot be touched.

Meanwhile, the e-commerce operation of the own brand is not ideal, an appropriate concession is acceptable.

He Jingping felt he had done enough, and did not believe Tang Song would refuse.

After all, the two do not have fundamental interest conflicts, he has already made a concession actively.
