Chapter 1175: Chapter 453: Ambition and Aspirations

Yuhua Business Building, Mortals Media.

“Clack, clack, clack—” The sound of typing on the keyboard went on incessantly.

Lines of text appeared continuously on the screen.

Xu Qing, wearing glasses, was beaming with confidence.

At the moment, she was writing a short drama script titled “Miss, Please!”

The story was about a lively and average office worker who time-travels into a proud and wilful noble lady in ancient times, encountering a series of bizarre and funny events.

Xu Qing was full of confidence in this script, believing it would surely earn her a handsome sum, making buying a car and a house no longer a dream.

With a slight wiggle of her little butt, Xu Qing’s face was full of smiles as she opened her mobile banking app again to check the incoming funds.

Today was the 12th, which also happened to be the day she received her manuscript fee!

You should know, this manuscript fee included rewards from the Golden Alliance!

The reward share amounted to more than 40,000 yuan, plus over 30,000 yuan as manuscript fee, totaling up to a whopping 80,000 yuan.

This was her best month ever in terms of earnings.

After staring at the number for a while, Xu Qing chuckled, opened the small accounting app, and started tallying her little savings.

The last time Tang Song gave her a 50,000 yuan fund for cosplay costumes; there was still 36,000 yuan left, adding to her some original savings.

Currently, her current balance was 124,000 yuan, which was the most she had ever saved.

And that was just part of it; the big chunk was the five 100g gold bars Tang Song gave her, worth 230,000 yuan.

In total, she had a net worth of 350,000 yuan.

Of course, she wouldn’t be selling them anytime soon, since gold was a hard currency, and its value kept appreciating.

Thinking about the gold bars hidden in her purse, Xu Qing’s eyes sparkled.

Compared to diamonds, which are hyped up and tied to love by people, she favored gold more.

Nuclear fusion can only go up to iron elements at most, making it absolutely impossible to synthesize gold artificially.

Gold is a rare metal that can only be produced by a supernova explosion of stellar level, an unextinguished spark of a cosmic-level fireworks show, which can better symbolize the romance, eternity, and passion of love.

Gotta admit, Song knows a bit about romance!

Hahaha!

After giggling a while in her small office, Xu Qing opened her best friend’s WeChat and left a message: “Little Yanyan, if you’re short on money, tell Sister Qingqing, and I’ll give you some to spend.”

Back when executing her options, she borrowed 400,000 yuan from Shen Yuyan, and she hadn’t repaid a penny of it yet.

The reason she didn’t pay it back despite having money was that she hoped that the 2% equity from Mortals Media would become something they both would share.

Getting that part of the equity in the first place already had Shen Yuyan’s contribution; she actively helped Xu Qing fight for it.

According to the news Shen Yuyan obtained from her friend’s consulting company, the reasonable valuation range for Mortals Media was around 120 million to 150 million yuan.

This meant her equity could currently be valued at up to 3 million yuan.

Moreover, it’s expected that this equity would continue to appreciate, possibly breaking the 10 million or 20 million marks in the future.

She knew Shen Yuyan too well. With Youjie Housekeeping facing internal and external troubles, if the company ever really went under one day…

Her best friend would absolutely be unable to handle it.

This company carried all of her wishes and dreams, and she had invested a lot into it.

To use fashionable terms, the sunk cost was too high, and she couldn’t afford to lose it.

If it truly came to that day, she would unhesitatingly give up 2% of that equity, to give her friend some hope.

After a while, there was still no reply from Shen Yuyan.

Looking at the time, it was right around afternoon tea time.

Xu Qing, with a “huge fortune” in hand, couldn’t sit still and wiggled her little butt as she walked out.

After going downstairs, she went straight into Lawson.

“Want this, want that too!” she mumbled to herself, continuously tossing items into the basket.

Just like suddenly having a massive allowance as a kid, sweeping across the “snack shop.”

Oden, chips, chocolate, drinks…

The shopping basket was quickly stuffed to the brim.

She took out her phone, swiftly scanned to pay, and with a big bag of snacks in hand, Xu Qing felt an indescribable satisfaction.

As she approached the elevator, she suddenly saw a familiar figure.

Oh, isn’t that my little sidekick Zhang Lingling… no, Yao Lingling.

Eyeing the other’s ample backside, a smidge of envy flashed through Xu Qing’s eyes.

If only she had such a thick cushion, she wouldn’t be afraid of getting hit.

But it’s okay, her bust was bigger than hers anyway, hahaha!

Thinking this, with a great mood, Lady Xu Qing took out a bag of chips and a chocolate bar from her bag, walked up to Yao Lingling, and said with a smile: “Hello, junior, what a coincidence meeting you here again. I just happened to buy some snacks, have some.”

Yao Lingling quickly turned around, grinning cheerfully: “Ah, thank you, Senior Xu Qing. I won’t be polite then, next time I’ll treat you.”

“Alright, sounds good.” Xu Qing pointed at the bag she was carrying, changing the topic: “You just got to the company?”

“Yeah.” Yao Lingling nodded hard, “There’s an event tomorrow that I need to attend, lots of colleagues are decorating and checking the venue, I just finished up over there and came to the company to grab something.”

“Oh.” Xu Qing nodded in a very senior style.

As the two of them got into the elevator, Xu Qing’s gaze suddenly froze.

Looking at Yao Lingling’s well-rounded C cup, she felt as if the world had collapsed.

ヽ(°〇°)ﾉ

What the heck?!

You’re cheating, playing with pad tricks!

The key was, she wasn’t wearing pads today! Unfair!

o͡͡͡͡͡͡╮(｡>口

Xu Qing quickly shrunk her body, choosing to temporarily avoid the sharp edge.

Noticing Xu Qing’s gaze, Yao Lingling blushed slightly, turning a bit shyly.
