...

Monday, September 11, 2023, cloudy, 21~28℃.

Huashang Clothing Headquarters, 8th Floor, Chairman’s Office.

He Zhihui lounged lazily on the sofa, spinning his phone between his fingers, ”Dad, last night President Lin and I talked for a long time. He wants to push for cross-shareholding between Yingqu Media and Huashang Clothing.”

”That’s impossible.” He Jingping took a small sip of tea, shaking his head, ”Let’s wait until the joint venture shows some performance before discussing this. Are their conditions still the same?”

”Yes.” He Zhihui spread his hands, ”Their bottom line is holding 51% of shares to control the joint venture, but they’re willing to let me be the CEO. Right now, traffic is king. Our supply chain and equipment aren’t outstanding in their eyes, and the production lines in the south aren’t bad either.”

He Jingping put down his teacup, frowning slightly, lost in thought.

He Zhihui leaned forward, ”Dad, are you worried about Tang Song?”

”Yes.” He Jingping nodded, ”I’ve had people contact him several times these past few days, but the responses have been perfunctory.”

”Hah, he really thinks highly of himself!” He Zhihui crossed his legs, sneering, ”He rejected our collaboration and still wants to strangle us. At least in Huashang Clothing, he can’t make much of a wave.”

He Jingping mused for a moment, then softly said, ”Let’s observe for now, peace is precious.”

Tang Song holds 35% of the shares and has two board seats, with veto power over major issues.

He didn’t want things to get too ugly with the other party.

Worst case, they could avoid involving core business or assets in the early stages of the joint venture, but that would slow its development.

Just then.

”Knock, knock, knock...” A knocking sound was heard.

He Jingping called out loudly, ”Come in.”

Next, Wu Wei, the company’s president, walked in quickly.

”President Wu!” He Zhihui stood up, greeting warmly.

Wu Wei nodded, signaling, and sat down beside He Jingping, with a serious expression, ”Chairman He, Chairman Tang just sent 6 people to the company, asking to review financial data and for our cooperation.”

”Oh?” He Jingping frowned slightly, ”What does he mean? Does he think the company is damaging his shareholder interests? Is he here to audit?”

Wu Wei shook his head, ”Among them is Lawyer Zhao Xingzhi from QJ Law Firm, whom I know. He said Chairman Tang just wants to understand the company more deeply.”

He Zhihui complained in a low voice, ”It’s Huashang Clothing’s critical time right now, and such a big fuss to audit will only slow down company operations and harm our market image if word gets out!”

”We have no choice, we can’t refuse.” Wu Wei said seriously, ”As a shareholder and director, Chairman Tang has the right to be informed.”

He Jingping tapped the armrest of the sofa, speaking in a low voice, ”Then inform the finance department to cooperate with the investigation, and have Director Li personally oversee it.”

”Understood, Chairman He, rest assured, I’ll arrange everything properly.” Wu Wei nodded and left.

As the office door closed again.

He Zhihui couldn’t help but mutter a few curses.

He has a terrible impression of Tang Song, mainly because the last time they met, Tang Song was extremely disrespectful to him, not even bothering to regard him at all.

Now, in this crucial period where he is taking over Huashang Clothing, he’s looking to achieve something with the joint venture.

Tang Song, obstructing his progress, naturally becomes the ”enemy” in his eyes.

”Dad, do you think he wants to find something out to use it against us, to demand that we give up the production lines to Songmei Clothing?”

”Then let him take his time. There are no issues with our financial data.” He Jingping waved his hand, ”Alright, don’t just stand there being clueless. Go and accompany the people Tang Song sent to see what they are up to.”

”Got it, leave it to me!” He Zhihui responded, picking up the cigarette his father left on the coffee table, and strode out of the office.

...

4:00 PM.

Yan Province Financial Center, 50th floor.

In the meeting room.

”President Tang, we’ve conducted a preliminary analysis of Huashang’s financial statements for the past three years...”

”The plan is to use the DCF method and relative valuation method for cross-verification. The core variables of the DCF model have been determined, including revenue growth rate, net profit margin, capital expenditure, and WACC...”

Geraint (Liu Zhengping), head of Huashang Clothing’s equity acquisition, stood in front of the projection screen reporting on the project progress.

Tang Song, wearing glasses, listened intently, occasionally raising his own questions.

Although he acquired a lot of financial and economic knowledge during the [Academic Prodigy Badge] period, it was still just knowledge, not something he could flexibly apply to real-life cases.

This acquisition and control is also a form of training for him.

Moreover, he has great trust in the professional team at Rongliu Capital, especially since the Tang Jin Family Office is among the shareholders.

After nearly an hour of meeting, everyone gradually left the room.

Tang Song opened the office door and immediately saw Assistant Lin sitting quietly on the sofa, waiting.

Wearing a women’s business suit, she really carried some of the financial elite aura in such an environment.

”President Tang, you’ve arrived.” Lin Muxue quickly stood up, showing a bright smile.

Tang Song casually closed the door, smiling and nodding gently.

Lin Muxue handed over the documents she was holding, ”The due diligence team has already moved into Huashang Clothing and will focus on investigating the assets and liabilities. It will all be completed this week.”

”Thank you for your hard work.” Tang Song took the documents and sat down across from her.

Breathing in the fresh and dewy fragrance from his female assistant, he browsed through the materials.
