Chapter 736: Chapter 339 Add Su Yu to the Beneficiary List_2

As lunch neared its end.

Wen Ruan took a sip of hot water and suddenly asked, ”Zhao, you must have a reason for seeking me out, right? Share with me, see if I can help.”

She had worked under Zhao Mingying for more than a year and kept in touch frequently, so she knew him quite well.

From his behavior at this meal, it was clear he was unsettled, hesitant to talk about his work, definitely facing some issues.

Listening to Wen Ruan’s straightforward and simple words, Zhao Mingying was so moved he almost burst into tears.

What is a friend! This is it!

”Well, it’s like this.” Zhao Mingying chose his words carefully and said in a low voice, ”Our department is undergoing organizational restructuring, and the original media relations operations will be taken over by another business department’s media operations sector, which leaves me in an awkward position—they don’t want me in the new department.”

”Ah?” Sun Simin exclaimed in surprise, ”When did this happen? How come not a single rumor got out?”

”The leadership doesn’t allow it to be mentioned, fearing it would affect employee morale. The notice came out just this morning. Since I’m the manager, I found out a month in advance.”

Sun Simin’s eyes flickered as she asked, ”Why suddenly optimize the whole department? Will there be changes in other departments?”

”Probably not, this time it’s because President Zhang has some issues with our media public relations director, so he made this move. It’s the gods fighting it out while the soldiers suffer.”

As a media group, Star Cloud International has always been rife with factions, conflicts, and contradictions.

A manager without a strong background, at the age of 36, with an associate degree is definitely the first to fall victim.

Upon hearing that her department was okay, Sun Simin finally eased her mind.

Zhao Mingying sighed helplessly, honestly saying, ”Wen Ruan, see if you can say something to President Ji, as you know my situation, being unemployed would be too big of a blow.”

Wen Ruan blinked, smiled brightly, ”Zhao, do you want to retain the media relations team or transfer to another department?”

”Huh?” Zhao Mingying was startled, blurting out, ”The notice of optimization has already been issued, can we still keep our team? If that’s the case, that would be even better!”

Seeing his department fall victim to internal power struggles was also upsetting for him.

After all, he had worked there for so many years, forming deep ties.

If Wen Ruan could indeed help maintain it, it would be incredibly good news.

Sun Simin hugged her friend’s arm excitedly, ”Ruannuan, President Zhang’s decision, you might not be able to sway President Ji—will Tang Song have to step in? Do we have to ask for Mo Xiangwan herself?”

Mo Xiangwan from Tangzong Entertainment was, for them, truly a legend.

If she spoke up, the leadership at Star Cloud International definitely wouldn’t refuse.

”Haha, am I Wen Ruan so insignificant? This afternoon I’ll barge into Xingyun International Tower and chat directly with our president myself! Let’s see who dares to disrespect me!”

Wen Ruan’s tone was uncharacteristically playful.

Hearing her words, Sun Simin and Zhao Mingying blinked in disbelief.

Wen Ruan, serving as an executive director of a subsidiary, was indeed considered part of the group’s high-level, but only comparable to a business department director.

Zhao Mingying scratched his thinning hair, chuckled, ”Actually, I just want to stay in Xingyun International Group, can accept not lowering my position without so much fuss.”

Wen Ruan shook her head and smiled lightly, ”Alright Zhao, it’s settled, I’ll be heading to the company for a meeting this afternoon, and I’ll handle your matter. Besides, you’ve remained as a manager for several years, it’s time for some upward movement.”

Regarding her proxy shareholding, currently only company shareholders and the chairman are aware.

Everything is still in the confidential stage.

However, everything will be disclosed following this afternoon’s shareholder meeting.

Those colleagues who once spread rumors and slandered her will definitely spend sleepless nights, trembling in fear.

The ”yellow rumor incident” from back then will also completely dissipate with this news.

”Ah? This...” Zhao Mingying exclaimed, his face flushed, ”Is this possible?”

”Of course it is!”

Listening to the conversation, Sun Simin became uneasy.

”Ruannuan, you’re not joking, right?”

”Haha, you’ll know this afternoon.” Wen Ruan raised an eyebrow.

Joking! Her Zhuangzhuang is about to become a director of the group, can’t she enjoy the taste of power?

Seeing the amazed Zhao Mingying and Sun Simin, it finally made her understand Tang Song’s sense of showmanship back then.

At this moment, the sound of ”click-clack, click-clack” footsteps approached.

Immediately after, a gentle voice sounded beside them, ”Excuse me, Ms. Wen Ruan, may I interrupt?”

Everyone looked up curiously at the beautiful woman who had suddenly appeared.

”Can I help you, Assistant Zhen?” Wen Ruan put down the cup in her hand and looked at her.

This time coming to the Imperial City, she was accompanied by Su Yu’s assistant, Zhen Yu.

Considered to be helping her handle some affairs and assist her in smoothly going through the shareholder meeting.

Zhen Yu smiled and said, ”President Mo just arrived in the Imperial City today, also staying at the Westin Hotel, and would like to meet with you now if convenient.”

”President Mo?”

Sun Simin and Zhao Mingying’s hearts jumped, their expressions slightly tense.

Could it really be Mo Xiangwan? No way, right?

Wen Ruan took a deep breath, instantly straightened her body, her voice steady, ”Convenient, I can do it now.”

Zhen Yu slightly bowed, ”Alright, President Mo is in the tea room suite inside the restaurant, let me take you there.”

Saying this, her gaze directed towards one section of the restaurant.

Wen Ruan stood up, patted Sun Simin’s shoulder, and said, ”Simin, Zhao, Brother Bo, I have some business to attend to, finish eating and leave when you’re done, no need to wait for me.”
