Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3118 Punitive Heavenly Flames

Dalilaʼs undulations burst forth inside the boiling pot of annihilative heavenly flames. Without the use of Tyriele, she wouldʼve most likely been burned alive because she wasnʼt anywhere near as strong as Tina, as she lacked a soul physique or a physical difference in terms of cultivation, for that matter.

All she had was proficiency in Alchemy knowledge and creation, one that was was more near to perfection than any other alchemist at the same level.

She was on the path to comprehending a significant Phyletic Law belonging to a cauldron spirit. Her combat prowess was nothing compared to her sisters because she had rarely ever trained her skills in combat.

Knowing this, Davis felt mortified over her presence above Tyriele because after the barrier melted, she would be burned to death.

*Sizzle!~* *Sizzle!~*

But for some reason, the light of the barrier shone far brighter than any other light, even more than the annihilative heavenly flames that their crimson-gold hue changed to a lighter hue from being overshadowed by Tyrieleʼs golden light.

Seeing this scene, Davis wasnʼt convinced.

The second annihilative heavenly flame wisp was going to fall in any second now.

Without wasting a single more second, he rushed toward. The feeling of death approached one that shook his very core. His instincts over fate made him aware that it might end in a situation far worse than death if he entered the heavenly tribulationʼs range.

Such a premonition filled his mind and made his soul shudder, his own instinct wanting him to stop and run away as far as possible.

Perhaps, the Celestial Transcendent might descend again, but Davis didnʼt give a single fuck anymore, not when his beloved Dalila, who worked so hard for him and her sisters, concocted pills all day in order to earn his affection.

She was the one who said she would earn his love through pills, and he was eagerly and gladly waiting for it even though he already started loving her for her sincerity, which was a trait he adored in his women.

Thinking about that scene, her sincere wish, her shy expression, her adorable expectations, one that belonged to a beautiful maiden in love who was trying her best to attract the love of her life, even the dreadful notions about the bleak future that tried to stop him in his tracks was broken open like he shattered the imaginary chains binding him.

*Clang!~* *Clang!~*

However, Davis suddenly came to a stop just when he had accelerated. He didnʼt know what the fuck just happened, but when he came back to himself, he realized that he was bound by a non-harmful attack.

Numerous chains bound him, keeping him in place. Their colors were iridescent in nature, black and white wrapping him around, even his forehead.

”MYRIA!!!”

Once he realized whose chains were these, Davis roared in fury. He looked back at her with bloodshot eyes, his emotions of anger seeping into his heart as these chains completely suppressed his Soul Forging Cultivation.

His soul force boomed, but it was suppressed at the source itself, causing him to tremble from the backlash.

Instantly, his Essence Gathering Cultivation thrummed, only for him to find out it was thoroughly sealed due to the lack of his prowess compared to the chains.

Because he was caught in a vulnerable manner when his senses were concentrated on Tina and Dalila there, he was easily suppressed.

Now, he had no choice but to stare at her with a furious gaze.

”I cannot let you die~”

Myria stared back at him, her eyes squinted with emotion.

”Let me go! If you donʼt let me go, I swear I will-!!!””

Davis swore, barely controlling his tongue as he looked at her with killing intent.

Although he realized her intentions maybe for his sake way before she said it, anyone who stopped him was his enemy at that moment.

”...!”

However, his expression turned stunned when he saw Myriaʼs figure flash before she flew past him.

”My tribulationʼs prowess is far lesser than yours, and I had already passed my Immortal Emperor tribulation once.”

Her voice resounded beside him, causing him to shudder!

His gaze followed her move, wanting to stop her.

The second annihilative heavenly flame wisp didnʼt stop for them. It plunged straight towards Dalila, intending to burn her alive as though she committed a grave sin.

Seeing this scene, his heart leaped to his throat.

The words he wanted to say to Myria were stuck in his throat. He didnʼt want her enraging the heavenly tribulation for the same reason, but given the circumstances, he was forced to make a decision within a split second.

He could either let Myria enrage the tribulation by interfering, allowing even more terrifying flames to descend. He was confident that Myria could defend against the last heavenly flame strike, but what about a strike manifested as Paragon Magical Beasts?

What about the Celestial Transcendent or even other worthy entities? He didnʼt know what kind of rules existed in place for a punishment like a Heavenly Flame Tribulation, so it was all the more reason for him to think that Myria really might die today with Tina, Dalila, and Tyriele, not to mention the aftermath that might arrive as the flow of fate becomes alerted.

Or else, he could stop her by yelling at her, which may or may not work.

Either way, blood soared to his head, leaving him unable to think much before he made his decision.

He forced his mouth shut as he decided to leave things to Myria and tried to break out the chains binding him.

ʼScrew it... If Myria also canʼt save them, I might as well make the heavens vomit blood before I die...ʼ

Peak-Level Immortal King Soulʼs undulations fumbled around him, appearing to be unstable out of squeezing all the energy he could out of the seal.

Clearly, although Myriaʼs sealing technique might be invincible or even perfect, it was outmatched by his own soul force.

He was confident in breaking it through pure force as long as he had time, but he just didnʼt possess it, so he decided to squeeze out whatever soul force he could in order to break the seal from outside and inside at the same time or attract the heavenly tribulation by releasing his soul force towards it even without entering its range.

By that time, even the dying Myria would know it would be better to release him instead of keeping him sealed until the heavenly tribulation passes by

*Sizzle!~* *Sizzle!~*

At this moment, the second annihilative heavenly flame wisp ignited the barrier that was already lit up in flames. The resulting heat even burned the air around them and distorted space through sheer will.

The retribution of the heavens was in full force. It was over-encompassing and unrelenting, seeming to be made of unending energy from within as it burned for a longer time than it would for other sinners.

These flames that were overshadowed once were now eating up the barrier as though nibbling it.

As the barrierʼs energy considerably fell, Davis could even see Dalila, who was within. She seemed to have shut her eyes amidst the incredible heat roasting her alive.

Her dress was melting, and her fair skin seemed to release steam as though the blood within her was boiling and evaporating. Such a scene disturbed him to no end, but he knew Myria would save her- or so he thought until his gaze fell on her again, and he saw her doing nothing.

”...!”

Davis flinched, ”Myria, go save her!”

He urged her to do exactly what he didnʼt want her to just a while ago, which was ironic. His voice even held all the fear in his heart, but Myria didnʼt respond.

*Sizzle!~ Sizzle!~*

The annihilative heavenly flames combined and folded, incinerating all matter in its way. Just as he thought it was going to devour the barrier and light up his Dalila in flames, he had no cool.

”MYRIA-!!”

”Wait!”

Just as he was about to unleash a variety of curses, Myria raised her hand to her left as though stopping him.

”What!? Why? Canʼt you see that Dalila is going to burn alive!?”

”Observe closely. Canʼt you see that?”

Myria answered with an expression that said that even she herself was surprised by what she was seeing.

However, Davis couldnʼt see that, so he was thunderously furious, intending to sacrifice his soul essence so that he could get her rid of the seal faster.

But at this moment, he suddenly saw the flames surrounding Dalila and Tyriele being pushed by an unknown force.

This unknown force appeared to be a blue-gold light that stemmed from within, no- it seemed to be leaking from the cauldron as the life slowly opened.

”Nuuu~”

Abruptly, a strange, chill yet blissful voice resounded throughout the region, causing Davis to be stunned beyond compare as he realized something.

Epsila hadnʼt died yet from the dragonʼs clutches. Instead, she rose from the cauldron with an even more powerful force!
