Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1355 - Clash Between Burning Phoenix Flames

Intense burning phoenix flames blazed on both sides.

Shirley and Top Disciple Vito Rein glared at each other, one secretly having the intent to kill and the other to conquer. However, Top Disciple Vito Rein didnʼt seem like he was holding back with his prowess, and it spoke volumes of Shirleyʼs own prowess, making the crowdsʼ heart pound loudly as they watched with their mouths slightly agape.

Shirley had already retreated to a safe distance, but unlike Top Disciple Vito Rein, who could maintain his attack in his domain, she found it hard to keep holding her attack. She waited till her very limit, energizing her technique even more than before as she played a tune with her fingers.

*Screech!~*

A burning phoenix burst out from her body as its cry echoed throughout the battle arena! Its wings magnificently spread as it shot towards the domain, but there was another monstrosity that floated inside the domain.

It was a burning phoenix almost ten times bigger than the burning phoenix that Shirley released. The contrast made eyes widen and jaws drop in incredulity, but those who possessed knowledge knew that the two burning phoenixʼs prowess were near to each other, with Shirleyʼs probably losing out in the end even after being strengthened for its maximum time.

However, Sect Master Lea Weiss and a few other Grand Elders noticed a peculiarity from the Everburning Dance of the Burning Phoenix. It was just too... compressed!

There was no time to ponder as the two beautiful burning phoenixes had already neared each other! Shirleyʼs technique pierced into the domain and exploded at the huge burning phoenix that had also flown towards it!

*Boom!~*

It was not a resounding explosion as one would expect.

A dull sound echoed throughout the battle arena as flames sizzled and rippled. The Everburning Dance of the Burning Phoenix began its dance upon explosion, constantly erasing the huge wisp of Top Disciple Vito Reinʼs burning phoenix that stuck to it, wanting to evenly obliterate it.

But despite the size and the flame difference, the dancing form of the burning phoenixes became relevant as the huge burning phoenix began to erode in its own domain!

”What...?”

Top Disciple Vito Rein looked utterly dumbfounded at the scene. How her burning phoenix flames engulfed his full power burning phoenix flames became a mystery to the current him until he realized that he had given her too much time to strengthen her technique.

ʼShe can use the second form of the Everburning Dance of the Burning Phoenix as well!?ʼ

His face turned shocked at the brilliance of her feat before it turned ugly as he suddenly saw her figure shoot past the still sizzling flames.

He shook as he came out of his reverie and retreated, but Shirley was already using the Burning Phoenix Plume Burst Technique to instantly close the distance between them. She was already considerably close, and when he saw her instantly arrive before him a hundred meters away, he raised his hand as his palms surged with intense burning phoenix flames!

”Condensed Burning Sun Technique!”

The concentrated ball of burning phoenix flames shot straight towards Shirley and exploded without even coming into contact. Burning phoenix flames burst apart, engulfing Shirley in it, causing Top Disciple Vito Rein to relax, but he saw his flames scatter when two wings suddenly flapped into existence, erasing his flames as if they were blowing candle flames.

”How can you use techniques this fast!?”

Top Disciple Vito Rein screamed in exasperation as he saw her use a defensive technique and retreated again.

He couldnʼt understand!

Why was Shirley so powerful!? Not only were they at the same stage and level, she hadnʼt even used her domain yet! Furthermore, her cultivation base was practically flickering like a candle, making it painfully obvious that she hadnʼt consolidated her cultivation base.

But then, why was she the powerful one instead of him!?

His chaotic and panicked mind couldnʼt arrive at an answer as he fled using the movement technique.

*Bang!~*

However, he felt a kick to his back that deeply impacted his dantian as flames invaded through his pores, causing his circulation of essence energy to become awry as he spat a mouthful of blood!

*Pui!~*

He lost his balance and began to plunge a few meters before he regained himself and turned back.

*PahhH!~*

A slap instantly arrived and sent him flying away, his body twisting under the sheer pressure of the slap to accommodate his head from severing. However, a wisp of burning phoenix flame stuck to his cheek, causing him to receive deep burns as he hurriedly slapped himself with whatever essence energy was left in his palms to disperse the flames.

Looking at Top Disciple Vito Rein slap himself three to four times, the spectators went utterly astonished before their lips curved into a suppressed smile. They tried hard not to release the laughter they suppressed before their expressions changed.

*Puchi!~*

Four spears that had their sharp ends in the form of talons pierced through Top Disciple Vito Reinʼs limbs as it struck the surface.

”Ahhh!~”

Top Disciple Vito Rein echoed out a cry of pain as his face contorted. Blood splashed and began to ooze out in copious amounts from the four points he was pierced through.

The flaming talons made up of burning phoenix flames that stuck to the pristine white surface did not even scratch it but still clung tightly. It didnʼt let him move. He gritted his teeth and endured the pain. However, looking at Shirley closing in on him, his mind revolved.

His domain that was still active conjured burning phoenix flames that were sent to two places. One to stop Shirley and the other to the four talon spears that made him immobilized. The burning phoenix flames he conjured quickly caught on to the talons and did a quick work of it. He managed to remove the binds and stood up, but then a kick to the stomach sent him crashing down on the hard floor.

Top Disciple Vito Reinʼs entire body shook from the impact. His dantian trembled under her clean kick as he rolled before he stabilized himself!

”Why you...! Ahhh!!!”

He let out an enraged shout as burning phoenix flames encased his body, but a stomp further arrived, making him spit a mouthful of blood once again as he was forced to lie back down on the cold, pristine ground!

Top Disciple Vito Reinʼs crimson eyes were staring at Shirley in extreme rage!

At this point, he wanted to kill her but wasnʼt even able to move properly as Low-Level Elder Soul Stage soul force descended on him, suppressing his own soul that was at Peak-Level A.d.u.l.t Soul Stage.

His Peak-Level Gold Stage physical body was able to handle the impact of her ruthless stomp, but her cold ruby-like eyes that were mockingly staring at him made him want to die. The humiliation was just too much that he could feel all the blood in his body travel to his head while he could also tell that his reputation had dropped into the gutter!

”F.u.c.k! Release me!” He screamed as he struggled, but his struggles were completely useless under Shirleyʼs suppression.

Her burning phoenix flames conjured by both her hands were constantly struggling with his burning phoenix flames that were released from his active domain.

That hadnʼt been destroyed, and she hadnʼt bothered to destroy it too, all of it because she didnʼt want the referee interfering with her.

Shirleyʼs beautiful eyes creased as an evil smile crept up on her face. Her foot that was floating in the air swung forward abruptly!

*Crack!~*

The faces of men who had seen it coming changed, and when the dull sound echoed, they unwittingly closed their legs as they felt an illusionary sharp pain flooding their minds!

Silence echoed throughout the battle arena before a cry of sharp pain echoed out!

”Ahhhhhh!!!!”

It was a miserable cry that caused numerous elders to turn their heads away in sympathy while their hearts pounded in response to her ruthlessness.

Shirley retreated and looked at her left heel that had been bloodied a bit. Her kick wasnʼt powerful enough to explode because her Body Tempering Cultivation was only at Low-Level Gold Stage, but even then, she wasnʼt disappointed with it as she had painstakingly cultivated her Body Tempering Cultivation with her own effort and sect resources.

The kick she had given Top Disciple Vito Rein made her extremely satisfied, but she cast a disgusted gaze as her burning phoenix flames erased the vile blood that remained on the soles of her heels.

”Surrender...”

A word escaped from her crimson lips, but that caused the miserable Top Disciple Vito Rein to fiercely react as he screamed in rage.

”F.u.c.k off, you wench! Iʼm going to kill you!!!”

”I see you have chosen death...”

Shirley muttered as she didnʼt hesitate to point her finger at him.

Burning phoenix flames abruptly shot from her as they transformed into crimson sword radiance directly piercing through his neck! It was just an instant while there was no hesitation on her part!

*Puchi!~*

Blood splashed from Top Disciple Vito Reinʼs neck from both sides! He hurriedly clung onto his neck as if to stop the blood from escaping his body, but it poured out and drenched his crimson robes blood red.

The faces of the elders began to frown at the amount of bloodshed. However, their eyes widened when they saw Top Disciple Vito Rein reacting fiercely as his entire body began to tremble and his eyes became bloodshot!

*Crack!~*

The active Supreme Domain that tried to wreak havoc was unable to hold itself as it crumbled away.

Shirley kept her index finger raised, a tinge of her burning phoenix flames continuously being shot into the wound he tried to hide.

”Stop!~”

The refereeʼs voice echoed as he hurriedly arrived between them and waved his hand. Shirley took a few steps back in retreat as the blazing undulations of the referee had her essence energy, martial energy, and soul force she was using abruptly severed from usage for a moment.

The referee stretched out his hand and grabbed Top Disciple Vito Rein. He looked as if he was choking him, but in truth, he was helping him eradicate Shirleyʼs berserk flames inside his body that were running amok like poison.

”Quick! Channel your tri-cultivation to suppress her energy from running amok in your body!”

The referee reminded Top Disciple Vito Rein, causing him to use all of his three cultivation systems in order to suppress Shirleyʼs ruthless move of wanting to burn all his organs!

”How dare you!? To deal a life-threatening blow to Top Disciple Vito Rein in an ordinary competition, you have gone too far, Top Disciple Shirley!”

A few Grand Elders stood up as they flew towards the battle stage!
