”Now remember, the system will only grant a skill based on your ability to do something in a battle.”

She was showing him the effects of the skill she was trying to teach him which was the spell scribe skill.

When she used it she was capable of making spell scrolls that were very complex with a large number of runes he could not count.

”When you gain the skill for the first time it will allow you to channel your mana for a moment to create a spell circle with up to five runes for the lowest rank skill, for each level you gain you will have a faster casting speed and when you bring the skill to the next rank you will have a larger number of runes in each circle.”

He nodded and he was trying to do something that had actually been done by Diana.

He was trying to cast the spell circles on the ground with his feet as the point of contact for the mana to flow.

He had a dream of being able to set traps with the frenzy bombs inside while he battled.

He could move fairly quickly and with each step he was creating spell circles with the fire rune to create a small bomb in the area.

He eventually obtained the skill which made him cheer, much to Lucrecia’s amusement.

”So what’s next?”

”Next we have to get your hand to hand skills up to par... actually we have to get you the technique in the first place...”

She was laughing at him for a moment before she cleared her throat to reign herself in.

”Yeah yeah, I picked a weird method of combat I get it.”

He rolled his eyes and drew his weapon while keeping his other hand free to not only act as a medium for spellcasting but also act as claws.

When he looked at her again though he saw a figure that wasn’t present before.

A slender demon woman with short horns and hooves oddly enough.

”This will be your teacher, Asaia here is the greatest practitioner of hand to hand combat in the infernal kingdom.”

Asaia bowed to him which he politely returned, it seemed to make her uncomfortable but she composed herself to teach him.

”I am told you wish to use claws?”

He nods and she opened a bag containing a set of steel gauntlets that had clawed fingers which she began to put on.

”I will show you the technique, you must learn some on your own as devil tails and wings affect balance.”

He nodded and began to follow her instructions.

The stance was fairly strange but surprisingly easy to comprehend.

He had to lower his center mass to make his body harder to push away, it also meant he could dodge faster with his legs ready to spring in any direction.

It took some time but he eventually learned the novice skill ’Hand to Hand combat [Clawed] which meant it was time to practice.

He turned to face the woman that was teaching him and took the stance he had learned to signal that he was ready.

She struck forward with a fist and he shifted his body to the side to avoid it.

She was going easy on him.

He had to dodge her strikes while returning his own, each attack she missed was a way to punish her.

He knew that no matter how many attacks he landed she would not react to them as his power was not even close to what would be needed to cause her significant harm.

He had figured out how to use her missed strikes to drag his claws along her arm while attempting to stab her with the blade he used.

At one point he managed to strike her in a way that actually caught her off guard.

He didn’t even notice how well he had moved until he was suddenly in her face.

She had attempted a strike as per usual but instead of dodging he had slapped it away with his wing in a counter which allowed him to drive his other mana enhanced wing into her chest to knock the wind from her lungs.

He had been trying to stab her with the mana blade on his wing but it still allowed him to stab his claws into her body while the dagger was stabbed into her underarm.

Hand to Hand Combat [Clawed] has improved.

Devil’s Savage Stance.

This was not something that he cares about as the moment though because he was panicking and healing her wounds.

”Shit shit shit shit I’m sorry! I don’t know what came over me!”

Despite his worries she was laughing hysterically.

”My queen your mate is incredible! Sure I was going easy on him but that was unexpected!”

She stood up and got ready to go again.

”Show me what that was, I want to see how you do it again!”

He nodded and looked at Lucretia with mild concern but she simply gave him a smile.

He got into his stance but this time he felt his wings and tail moving into a strange position.

~

Lucretia watched as her beloved moved into a position that made her heart race.

Although he had no idea what made infernal women interested in him he sure as hell flaunted it.

She watched as he lowered his body to the point of his knees almost touching his chest, one leg in front of the other and tense with energy to launch himself at any moment.

His tail snapped around as he lowered himself before swaying in place like a serpent trying to hypnotize it’s prey... and it was certainly hypnotic for her.

His wings were low at his sides but they were coated in mana like weapons.

The most striking part was how his gaze was fixed on the demoness, a predator sizing up it’s prey.

She could see his eyes looking for weaknesses.

Those strange, beautiful eyes.

When Asaia struck out her fist she moved with much more speed than before and since Lucretia had asked her to restrain herself to 10% of her abilities she suspected it was probably at the 50% mark.

Her beloved’s eyes flashed and he lashed out with his wing.

She watched as the mana collided with his target, her hand.

He had struck from the underside of her hand to drive it upward while he launched himself forward, those slim and powerful legs tensed the way a wildcat pounced upon prey.

She watched as he dodged her second blow and with his other wing he faked a strike on her leg which made her lose track of his hands for just a moment.

When he struck out with his claws she blocked them with her forearm and that strange dagger of his got caught by her other hand.

Then he vanished.

She turned to look for him behind herself and had to block a rapid slash of his claws.

When he moved she saw that he had vanished from his position through mana.

’When did he get a blink skill?’

She watched as he started to weave teleporting into his attacks, each attack was swift and aimed to be deadly.

She could also see that his eyes were becoming wilder with each attack, he was losing himself in the battle.

She felt an odd thrill in her heart as she watched her beloved go toe to toe with this more powerful foe and although she knew he was having a practice battle she still felt the urge to fight beside her mate.

Lucretia had a secret that she kept from her people and it made her instincts act in an unnatural way for a devil but she could overcome them normally.

What this battle did was make certain urges in her blood rear their head so she had to put an end to it.

”Alright you two, I know that you are having fun but we must move on!”

But the two did not stop fighting, they only seemed to get more violent.

Lucretia began to approach with her blood rising in anger and frustration.

’How dare she disregard her queen? I will tear the flesh from her bones!’

She went forward to grab the two of them but then something she did not anticipate happened.

Her beloved pouned on her with a wild expression in his eyes.

She was pinned on the ground and something in her blood roared to the surface making her struggle to restrain her actions while this man held his claws to her throat.

She was shocked to feel aroused by this moment.

”Belial get off of me!”

The demoness was watching with shock and rushed to pull the man away but he vanished once again.

The last they saw of him was his back as he charged the walls and lept over them with a single flap of his wings assisting his leap.

Lucretia could feel her heart racing and she had to throw Asaia away to gather herself before the woman noticed how much she was burning up from the encounter.

’Damn beast blood...’
