Bloodlines Online

While the rest were training to get Thanatos accustomed to how they work with one another Ezekiel was busy training with the demoness known as Kira Mallum.

He had long ago acknowledged that he would be forced to leave with the two women and although he was sad to be dragged away from his team he could not stay there.

The infernal kingdom keeping their word relied on him leaving to go to what they called his homeland, their queen had ordered them to bring him by whatever means and he knew they would stick to their word.

The young devil was learning a proper grappling form from Kira and it was going well so far but he knew that simply punching and grabbing his enemies was not enough.

He would have to work on his own technique since she was not aware of whatever he was describing.

In fact she seemed disturbed by how he used his wings to fight.

”The wings of an Archdevil are sacred, to use them as weapons is... It simply isn’t done Belial!”

He scoffed at the way she worded it and continued to use his body as a weapon.

”Yeah and the other cities say allowing shadow mages to live simply isn’t done, allowing blood magic simply isn’t done.”

He looked her in the eye with a smug expression.

”I remember you once saying that an infernal woman speaking to an infernal male who was not her mate wasn’t done either but here we are.”

He laughed at her expression as she seemed simultaneously embarrassed and enraged.

”Imagine what your people would say if they knew that not only had you spoken to a male devil who you were not married to but also touched one... hell imagine what they would say if they knew you struck one.”

She lunged forward with rage filled eyes as if to grab him but her tembling hands stopped inches from his neck.

”We were training, you asked to be taught to block attacks and you have now asked to be taught hand to hand combat.”

She growled each word while looking as if she were on the verge of destroying something.

”Would they care? You keep acting like your people have no courtesies towards what people desire right? I want to use my wings in combat but you say it is not done, it is disgraceful apparently.”

He smirked as he lay out her own words before her after pointing out her own breaking of those rules.

”Help me figure this out and stop acting like you’re better than me...”

He had grown sick of hiw this woman treated him, the dismissal, the constant downplaying of his hopes.

He worried about how the people would treat him in the infernal kingdom if the one sent to retrieve him was already such a bitch.

”I don’t know if the word exists here but we have something that describes you well...”

She looked him in the eye waiting for him to finish the sentence but he did not, he simply took his stance and returned to practicing.

Belial Void Mage lv177- Lesser Tri-Elemental Archdevil.

He had been practicing hard and the sun had set a long time ago.

He was trying to figure out how he could gain nightvision through his skills when he suddenly felt something grab him by the leg.

When he was about to look down he was suddenly struck by a sharp pain in his neck before being dragged away across the ground by whatever had grabbed him.

’Dammit! What is happening? Am I getting attacked by some crazy beast?’

He felt sluggish and started to call for help but his mouth felt like it was moving through water.

When the dragging finally ended he was looking up at a hooded figure.

The figures face was indiscernible through the shadows but what he could see was the slight glint of moonlight shining off of a dagger blade.

He could not move his body but he could certainly move his mana.

He would probably not be accurate enough to fight this figure away with spells but there was another option.

He used his mana to create a psuedo aura around his body and with a wheezing grunt he unleashed all of the fire mana he could.

The fire spread across the ground and into the trees turning the fallen leaves into the perfect emergency flare.

The hooded figure was caught off guard and attempted to bring a dagger down upon him but then they were kicked away by an elegant redish gray leg.

With his eyes barely able to see through the smoke he saw the other demoness that had been there the day he met the city lord, yhe one every NPC had called the Ashbringer.

She looked down at Ezekiel with a hint of concern before she yelled for Kira, she then grabbed the attacker and himself to carry away from the fire.

Ezekiel tried to extinguish his flames but he could only exert control of his runaway mana within ten feet of his body, the rest of the fire was going out of control.

He started to think about anything he could possibly do to stop the fire he had caused but it seemed his savior was uninterested in protecting the forest.

He was getting angry about how little she cared for the city he asked them to protect and he had unintentionally activated hid mana burn skill.

He let out a hoarse scream as he expanded his mana control as far as he possibly could, he looked for everything and eventually saw the particles of blue mana in the air from some moisture giving light amounts of water mana to the air.

He could hear his savior yelling at him while Kira was approaching with her own words that got drowned out bg the buzzing in his ears.

He was forcing his mind to work with the mana that was far out of his reach and trying desperately to do something that he had not attempted before.

He knew it was possible to manipulate the mana in the air to create spells, the boss of the dungeon did so constantly.

He simply had to figure out how she did it, or force it to bend to his will.

Just as he felt that he was about to burst a blood vessel he heard a notification and the mana in the air surged into the pocket of water mana particles which began to take their own element from it.

He saw the mana pocket he created suddenly begin to take a strange shape he had no control over and before he knew it there was a small storm cloud above the raging fire.

The rain seemed to be weakening the flames but he knew that it would not put them out before there was severe damage to this section of the forest so he turned to another approach.

He started to use his mana control to force the mana out of the fire so that the propagating flames wouls be weakned even further without the mana fueling them.

With no mana the fire had to rely on physical fuel like wet wood and grass.

Once he saw the fire dying he was able to sigh with relief, his paralyzed muscles cracking the smallest of smiles.

He could not read the rest of this new notification as he fell unconscious.

Kira restrained the kidnapper and listened to her sister recount the events that she had come to.

When she was done they each took turns questioning the otherworlder and what they heard shocked them.

”Another otherworlder wants him slain? But your kind cannot be killed permanently!”

The assassin spit a mouthful of blood, when he looked up they could see his hobgoblin face again covered in bruises and blood.

”We can have our levels reduced to the base though, we can be sent back to lv1 and that guy pissed off some rich folk.”

He laughed loudly at the idea as if it were the greatest joke he ever heard.

”Poor bastard probably got a few people chasing him down, he got famous you know... people don’t like getting outclassed.”

They covered his mouth and with one sharp motion a sickening pop was heard, he tried to scream but could only hurt his own throat as he felt the pain of his wrist being dislocated.

”By order of her majesty Queen Lucretia Shadow, Devil Queen of the infernal kingdom, we brand you as an attacker of a male devil and you shall forever be known as an enemy of the infernal race.”

She had a metal object in her hand and as she finished those words it seemed to spark with magic and glow white hot.

She forced the end of it against his face and he began to shriek into her hand as the sound of sizzling flesh was heard through the camp.
