The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 95: {The Confrontation of the Dark Soul}

When we went through the door, we came again to another room, where there was a mirror, but this one did not reflect anything.

It was only black, it had an elaborate frame as if made of gold and it seemed to tell a story of a warrior who goes through many things to finally become a king. It was something so beautiful that it seriously impressed me.

[Welcome to the third examination: {The Confrontation of the Dark Soul}].

But this was no time for that, I knew it was inevitable, so I walked slowly forward, preparing for whatever was to come.

The rest, as usual, simply followed me. I simply looked into the mirror, where golden words began to appear.

{The true self is necessary to reach the top. Before finding a path, you must find yourself.}

And that was it. Suddenly, I felt as if something wanted to invade me, but obviously couldn’t because of my blessing, but I willingly allowed that unknown force to consume me, taking me into darkness.

..

.

At that moment, I woke up in a dark room with no trace of light. I couldn’t see anything or orient myself.

I honestly did not understand whether it was real, an illusion, or whether I was conscious or in a dream. It was confusing and elusive, but I finally managed to calm down and got up, or at least I think so.

I didn’t even know if there was a floor, but that’s what it sense like, and somehow I did.

Suddenly, part of the place lit up, revealing another mirror. By that point, I was so tired of mirrors that I didn’t want to see any more.

But the curious thing about this mirror was that what it reflected was not me..... well, it was me, the me from my previous life, a fat, ugly, bespectacled man with a gloomy aura, he was Adrian.

’So this is the examination? Reliving the past or something? Maybe an examination to get over your past self or something. Well, I don’t think it’s that hard,’

”How bad could it be?”

It was so cliché that I didn’t really see it as difficult to overcome, I just looked at him and spoke to him.

”Hello, Adrian. It’s you, isn’t it? I want you to know that, since we’ve been reincarnated, we’ve been living well, apart from the fact that Goddess turned us into women. we’ve done a lot of things. isn’t it amazing? I’m even forming my own harem, don’t you think it’s great?”.

I started talking to her about what I guess my past self wanted to hear. I thought after that he would say he was proud of me and thus pass the examination, coming to terms with my past self.

But the somber Adrian did not move or stop looking down. He did nothing, until at last after an uncomfortably long silence he finally spoke his first words:

[Disgusting.]

”huh!?”

I couldn’t understand what he was saying. Here the only thing gross, at least physically, would be my past appearance, basically him.

[Very disgusting, gross! Why, why, why, why...?]

”.....”

I no longer understood what was going on. he was just talking nonsensical nonsense.

I tried to understand what this examination was about, but Adrian in the mirror started talking again.

[Do you think you can hide it with that cute look of yours? Do you think that will change how disgusting you are? Disgusting! Just disgusting!]

”What do you mean by...?”

[Disgusting.]

I was going to ask him what he meant, but he interrupted me and started yelling, I didn’t like at all that he was telling me disgusting this disgusting that, for some reason his words were really bothering me

[You think because you reincarnated you can forget what you were and just sweep it all under the rug? You’re disgusting!]

”wait...calm down I haven’t forgotten what I am and where I came from....”

[You did. Do you think those around you would love you if they knew what a creep you are?]

”I don’t know what you’re talking about. I told Elena the truth, I told her about my previous life.”

[So why didn’t you show what you look like? Why didn’t you show what you are? Why did you just create this hybrid that hides all your insecurities?]

”that’s because of-...”

[ You’re just a disgusting toad eating swan meat, disguised as one. You’re just running away from reality. You’re nothing but scum who got lucky one in a million].

He wouldn’t even let me talk and said whatever he wanted. I was starting to get angry.

I had my reasons, I knew the moment hadn’t come, not yet, and I thought I could do it later.

Not that I would keep it from him forever, but that guy kept calling me disgusting, even though he was the only disgusting thing here.

[Heh, isn’t it funny how you don’t even think of me as the same person. And you say you’re not running from the truth?]

”Damn!... I get it, is that it, right, I have to accept that I’m gross and you and I are the same or something, right, is that kind of examination?”

[Heh, as usual, you just think this is just some examination or mission that you have to pass. That you have to find your way out or the trick, right? But it’s not. It’s an examination where I’m just telling you what you are].

”Damn it, cut the crap!.... I know what kind of person I was, someone who lived a life that others would consider sucked. My parents gave up on me, I had no social life, I just stayed in front of my computer doing nothing but procrastinating. Yes, I kept masturbating, watching fictional characters, and did nothing to improve myself until the end. I just died a scumbag. Is that what you want to hear?”

[You know, you forgot to talk about how you screwed up with how disgusting you are and how you pissed off the goddess, making you reborn as a woman. But, ah, it all worked out so easy. You didn’t even have to do anything, did you? Suddenly, you had everything you needed and everything you wanted. And now? You’re living it to the fullest? You think your life is great, don’t you? Now that you have the Legacy of Lust, you’ve started to unleash all your disgusting desires, haven’t you].

”Wait... How did you...?”

[[Oh, you ask how does he know! Easy, this place has no relation to the gods]].

At that moment, another mirror appeared to the side, in which an old woman was reflected, it was someone I had seen before and could never forget, my alternate self.

[Isn’t it funny how he thinks of you as him, but doesn’t do the same to me? Isn’t that disgusting, how he just assumes it naturally?]

[[Haaaah... I must have made a mistake. Was this the right way? Should I have let him...? Haaa...]]

”you didn’t answer my question. How are you supposed to know about the Legacy of Lust? The Gods weren’t supposed to be able to see anything related to that, not even from those connected to me.”

[[Right... well, that’s exactly what you’re thinking. The mirror is an artifact that looks at all your memories and puts you under examination... a cliché, right? And like I said, that’s exactly what’s going on. This is the inside of your mind, the gods can’t see in here, so the protection of Lust can’t interfere. Easy to understand, isn’t it]]

”But still...”

[[Well, you want to get out, don’t you? Well, the solution is easy, just admit how disgusting you are and you’ll come out. Easy, isn’t it? What you did before wasn’t enough.]]

”Stop fucking with me! What kind of examination is this?!!... You, me, him... we’re the same. We’re part of a whole, aren’t we? So why do you keep saying I’m disgusting? We all are, if that’s what it’s all about! What else do you want me to admit? That my life was a mess? Yes, it was! That I hid in games and books while the real world ate me alive? Of course I did!!. Is that what you want to hear? That even now I often talk to myself because of how lonely my former life was, that I masturbated every day to forget how miserable I was? Because yes!!, I did, until my hand ached!, Is that what you want to hear, you fuckers!!!”

My words echoed in the darkness. I felt the fury boil in my chest,

[[Yes... we’re on the right track. you Keep going...]]

But these guys seemed to just want to play with me. I didn’t know what they were getting at and I didn’t know what to say anymore.

Even though I was aware that it was clearly an examination They were starting to back me into a corner and I didn’t understand what the big deal was?

{Pathetic. This is what you’ve made my identity. Oh, goddess, what have I done wrong?}

At that moment, another voice was heard. I looked in that direction and, to my surprise, there was my normal appearance, or rather, Seraphina. But there was something strange, it didn’t seem to be myself.

{Of course, you bastard. I’m not you, who would want to be you? Hey, one question: did you ever think about what happened to me? What happened to the person named Seraphina, huh?}

She started talking, and at that moment I realized that I had never really thought about it. I just assumed that somehow we merged and her memories passed to me, or that she had died and I took her body, as in common clichés and thought no more about it.

{What a convenient way to think, right? I can’t believe that the person who took my body is just ignoring everything she doesn’t want to see, burying herself in her convenient fantasies of this world, can you}?

”Wait, it’s not my fault. It was the goddess who did it. I had no control over what happened.”

{Yet, what did you do? You just flirted with my maid and got out of control as soon as you entered the academy, using my body in that vile way. disgusting to the end! You don’t even deserve to waste my time with you. Your nasty number 2 keeps fucking with him until this exam is over }.

I was already getting tired of them judging me. Who were they to do that? What else did they want from me? I had no idea at all anymore.

I was already out of ideas of what to do and how to pass this examination that I thought would be a piece of cake.
