The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 91: ”Realm of the Reflected Light.”

”So we’re finally here.”

I looked around and it was indeed an unique place. A moment ago we were in the ruins that, by ”coincidence”, William had found when we started our hunt.

I expected getting in here to be complicated somehow, but oddly enough it wasn’t. Everything was smooth and easy.

We got off the train, they came to pick us up, and then we arrived at his house, where a man with golden hair and beard, with a scar on his nose, greeted us.

when I met him I understood where William’s personality was coming from.

his mother was not there, as she was still arranging some things with Count Vulcan, because she was also knight.

After a great lunch, William, somewhat nervously, invited us to hunt around, as his mansion was just outside the city wall.

It was a secondary mansion and the surrounding area did not have many strong beasts, so an annual cleaning of the knights was sufficient. That was the raid we were supposedly invited to.

So a little nervously he led us on a light hunt, until the real hunt began. I wonder if it crossed anyone’s mind that he couldn’t be a good guide if he had only recently become a nobleman, and obviously he must also be new to the place.

Maybe because of his aura of protagonist, nobody questioned him. Anyway, the twelve of us began to explore the forest, hunting for weak beasts from time to time.

that idiot William nervously led us along a suspicious path, which in the end aroused doubts in many people in the group. ’That bastard doesn’t know how to do things right.’

It was very suspicious, I was so nervous that Elena looked at me several times, asking me with her eyes if I was planning something depraved with William, which seriously offended me.

First, because that was what I deduced from her look, and second, because she thought I was planning something when I clearly explained to her what would happen.

But anyway, this was a unique opportunity, and I wanted to bring everyone I could.

I even wanted to invite Cordelia, but I couldn’t find her anywhere, so I had no choice but to leave her.

I also wanted to invite Astrid, but she was absolutely busy; she couldn’t disappear for more than two days due to the recent accidents and the necessary countermeasures so that something similar wouldn’t happen again. As the best teacher of runes, she was in demand in many places.

She took us to a place where we finally found some ruins, with engravings and other things very old and covered with vegetation, just like where the legacy of lust was located.

just as we were inside, and it looked like they were finally going to question william, a great light flashed and began to engulf us. I didn’t resist at all and let it happen.

I held Selene and was about to reach Alice and Elena

”damn what are you doing to my sister”

the wretched Eira lunged at me at that moment, preventing me from reaching them properly and making me trip and fall over others.

At that moment, I realized that my plan of attack had failed in the early stages, as I was absorbed by the light.

...

..

.

”Hey, idiot you, why did you jump on me?”

once I have analyzed the environment So I turned my gaze to the cause of this sudden change in my well-planned plans.

”What do you think, I’m going to let someone suspicious grab my sister out of nowhere without doing anything?”

”Fuck, what suspect or what nothing, did you forget the relationship between Selene and me?”

”Shut up! My body reacted instinctively to the perverted aura you emit.”

”So you’re going to keep fucking with that, dammit...”

”Stop fighting!... Fighting is forbidden...”

”Tch...”(x2)

In the end, Selene stopped us, but in the end it doesn’t change the fact that she ruined my plans, haahhh... anyway, that damn Eira, when I finally thought we would be reconciled, she comes and annoys me in another way.

It’s like she’s doing it on purpose. Well, I need to get a grip right now.

..

We’re in what would be roughly a legacy place, but it’s more like something related to the first king of this realm or the former representative of the god of light.

It’s a place with many things that will allow the next generation to be strong, something that the first king prepared for the next age of the gods, and for them not to destroy the kingdom he created.

Only someone with the blessing of the god of light could enter, and William knew of this place precisely because he was linked to the god of light, who wants one of his pawns to become strong.

the kingdom also knew about this place and as far as I can deduce it was obviously not a coincidence that the kingdom gave this land to William’s father, it was all planned.

Now, I, with my ’heir’ skill, could certainly come here and inherit the legacy and stuff, but the problem is, even though I didn’t use the ability when I inherited the legacy of lust, this ability can only be used three times before it becomes useless.

Not to mention that I didn’t want to waste an opportunity on something as small as this legacy.

Besides, I couldn’t just replicate what I did with the legacy of lust; this legacy is monitored by the god, or, rather, one of his Servants.

The moment I take it for myself, I would be exposed and perhaps targeted. So, even if I can get it, I won’t, at least the main one. As for the rest, that’s another matter, not to mention that my main target could only be found not as an heir but as a companion to the heir.

Just as I prepared myself for what was to come, a voice began to sound in the air:

”[Welcome to the Realm of Reflected Light, complete the first examination and prove yourself worthy to carry the burden. First examination: {The Rite of the Shining Beasts}. I wish you luck and may the light illuminate your path].”

I ignored the voice that spoke and pulled out my black gloves, put them on and removed my outer clothing. Underneath I was wearing a black combat suit, which looked like cloth, but was absolutely rugged.

Last time I had not been able to outfit her due to the urgency of the situation, but now she was ready and equipped.

Selene, who saw me, I take out a black axe that I gave him as a gift and also started to change, wearing clothes that I had previously given her and that she would only reveal when I did.

I thought she had it on inside like me but it seems I didn’t explain it well. Well, this is fine with me too.

She was as calm as ever, despite the unexpected situation. She began to change without any embarrassment.

Eira came and made an ice curtain to block the view, but well, it’s not like.... Well, I did want to see, but still it wasn’t the time for that.

Selene was the only one who had prepared, as she had the priority of taking Selene, Elena and Alicia, but Eira stepped in. Luckily, Elena and Alicia also had their costumes and weapons.

By my calculations, since there were thirteen of us, we were divided into two groups: one of five and one of seven.

I honestly thought it would be six and six but well, not that i care, if there’s one member less, it’s better than meeting, Alexander or that idiot mike, although i wanted to meet elena and alice but that was it and i couldn’t do anything about it.

On the other hand William must have been sent elsewhere.

I looked through my inventory and started pulling out some weapons and wands. I looked at the ones held by Eira, Aurora and Lys, who were still a bit puzzled, and mine were better, so I gave them to each of them without giving it much thought.

At that moment Eira spoke looking at the wand in her hand.

”Wait... last time I forgot because a lot of things happened, but those gloves are made of black mithril, right? Even , that axe too, you gave it to Selene, where the hell do you get stuff like that being only the son of a knight? Besides, what the hell, this wand is better than what my family could get, and you pulled out two of them like that?”

’Damn it, why does she have to think about these things right now, can’t you be like your sister who doesn’t say anything? Look now, because of you Lys and Aurora are also starting to doubt me’.

Well, with the knowledge of my alternate self, I was able to find a vein of black mithril in our duchy, which made our duchy even richer than we already were, and as a reward, I manufactured several weapons.

In fact, I had a weapon ready for each member of my future harem, and the wand I passed on to Eira was something I also made on the premise that she could join my harem. ’How foolish and naive I was at the time’.

Well, there’s still a chance that a good ice mage will appear in my harem, so I’ll take it off later and keep it.

In the end, I just ignored her and pretended I didn’t hear her, and ignored Aurora and Lys’ questioning look.

”From now on, no resonance until I say so.”

”Hey, you fucker, answer my question! Besides, who are you to order me around?”

”Selene, don’t activate the ability. Let’s see who she will resonate with.”

”Yeah...”

”You, dammit? And Selene, how can you accept everything he tells you.... ggmng?”

Eira, frustrated by my agreement with Selene, could do nothing. After all, it can’t resonate if the other person doesn’t allow it.

Anyway, Lys and Aurora listening in seemed not to understand our conversation, but in the end said nothing.

I guess they’re just overwhelmed and thinking about other things, which I hope it’s not me, I don’t want crazy theories that they can get right, it is not the time for that, I have not even made much progress with them.

I started to get organized; things didn’t happen as I had in mind but I have realized that things can’t always be under my control and I need to adapt to the circumstances I am given.
