Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 228: The Evil Plan (1)

Watching Ye Yunqi disappear upstairs, Lin Ling looked at Ye Fei worriedly and said, ”Ye Fei, Yunqi...”

Ye Fei smiled and said, ”Itʼs okay. Sheʼs just teasing you. Donʼt you know her by now?”

”Youʼre right,” Lin Ling laughed.

”Yunqi is the best. She wouldnʼt get mad over something so small.”

”Exactly,” Ye Fei said, pulling Lin Ling closer and asking, ”So, why did you suddenly decide to come home?”

Lin Lingʼs face turned red as she explained. It turned out that this morning, when she was heading to school, she ran into Ye Yunqi at the entrance.

She hadnʼt wanted to tell her about her situation, but Ye Yunqi had guessed from the way she walked and teased her about it.

After school, Ye Yunqi had brought her to the Liu family villa, saying she should meet her future mother-in-law. Lin Ling thought it made sense and followed her here.

”Who knew she had such an idea,” Lin Ling pouted at the end, realizing that Ye Yunqi had brought her here not to meet her mother-in-law, but to join her in entertaining Ye Fei.

Ye Fei said seriously, ”Yunqi is indeed a bit naughty, Ling. If you donʼt want to, I wonʼt force you.”

”I wonʼt be forced,” Lin Ling whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear. ”She said it would make you more comfortable. As long as it makes you happy, Iʼm willing to do anything.”

”Thank you, Ling. Youʼre so good to me!”

Ye Fei said, moved, hugging Lin Ling tightly and looking deeply into her blushing face.

Lin Ling, of course, understood what he wanted to do next.

Her heart began to race with anticipation as she gently closed her eyes and slightly pouted her lips.

Ye Fei wasted no time, leaning down and capturing Lin Lingʼs soft lips with his own, savoring the moment.

Lin Ling used some of the techniques she had learned from him the night before, responding passionately.

”Hmph!” A familiar, crisp cough suddenly echoed through the living room, startling the two of them out of their passionate kiss.

Ye Fei couldnʼt help but laugh bitterly; he had been so engrossed that he hadnʼt even heard his mother come in.

The one who had entered the living room and coughed was none other than Liu Yiru. After work, she had felt an inexplicable surge of excitement as she approached the front door.

She didnʼt know where this feeling came from, but ever since her attitude toward her son had changed inexplicably, she would feel this way whenever she was close to him.

So when the feeling came again, she knew Ye Fei must be home.

The urge to see him immediately filled Liu Yiruʼs heart.

She didnʼt even bother to park her car properly and rushed into the living room.

But what she saw made her heart ache terribly—Ye Fei was holding a girl and kissing her passionately.

In that instant, Liu Yiru felt as if her heart was being hollowed out.

Although she could tell from the familiar figure that the girl was Ye Feiʼs fiancée, Lin Ling, and she had known since he was a child that they would end up together, it hadnʼt bothered her before.

She hadnʼt felt anything wrong about arranging their engagement so early.

But at this moment, a feeling of losing her son to someone else overwhelmed Liu Yiru, making it hard for her to breathe.

With great effort, she suppressed the intense pain in her heart and coughed to let them know she was back.

Facing the very angry Liu Yiru, Lin Ling was so embarrassed that she almost buried her face in her chest.

Even Ye Fei felt uneasy, a feeling he only had in front of Liu Yiru.

After staring at the two of them for a long time, Liu Yiru finally spoke coldly, ”Ye Fei, come with me.”

She then turned and walked into her bedroom without looking back.

Ye Fei gave Lin Ling a reassuring glance before following Liu Yiru inside. He stood obediently in front of her and asked, ”Mom, whatʼs wrong?”

Sitting on the sofa in the room, Liu Yiru looked up at Ye Feiʼs increasingly mature and strong face.

”Mom, did my brother upset you? How about I teach him a lesson?”

Ye Yunqi, who had already heard the story from Lin Ling, saw that Liu Yiruʼs expression was a bit off and immediately said with a grin, ”Donʼt be fooled by how strong he is now. If I want to discipline him, he wouldnʼt dare to fight back!”

She even playfully waved her small fist at Ye Fei.

Seeing her daughterʼs playful demeanor, Liu Yiruʼs mood improved significantly. She smiled and said, ”Itʼs nothing. I just had a little talk with him. Letʼs drop it. Since Ling is here today, how about I cook us a few delicious dishes?”

”Sure, sure! I can finally have Momʼs cooking again!” Ye Yunqi cheered loudly.

Liu Yiru laughed helplessly, ”You only think about eating and never offer to help me.”

Ye Yunqi stuck out her tongue and said with a shy smile, ”I donʼt know how to cook. Besides, with you and the sisters being so skilled, I never had the chance to learn.”

”Iʼll help,” Lin Ling offered from the side. Though she wasnʼt an expert in cooking, she had some basic skills.

”Sure,” Liu Yiru nodded immediately. Now that she had calmed down, she realized she had been a bit too harsh earlier. After all, it wasnʼt Lin Lingʼs fault. She wanted to use this opportunity to get closer to her.

After watching the two women enter the kitchen, Ye Yunqi approached Ye Fei with a mysterious look and whispered, ”Bro, what did Mom call you in for?”

Ye Fei had been bursting with excitement and wanted to share the news with someone.

Ye Yunqi, who had always been his closest confidante, was the perfect choice. He couldnʼt hide his joy and said with a silly grin, ”She scolded me.”

Ye Yunqi looked at Ye Fei curiously and asked, ”Bro, are you crazy? No one is happy after getting scolded.”

”Youʼre the one whoʼs crazy!” Ye Fei playfully tapped Ye Yunqiʼs head, but he couldnʼt wait to share the good news. He leaned in and whispered something into her ear.

”Ah? You...” Ye Yunqi gasped, about to ask something, but Ye Fei quickly covered her mouth and nodded upstairs.

Ye Yunqi nodded in understanding, and the two of them went upstairs to Ye Feiʼs bedroom, closing the door behind them. She then asked uncertainly, ”You mean Mom saw you and Ling being affectionate and got jealous?”

”Yep, yep!” Ye Fei nodded vigorously.

He knew he must look foolish with his grin, but he didnʼt care at all.

”So, she...” Ye Yunqiʼs eyes also lit up with excitement.

The unrequited love that hadnʼt been supported by their mother had always been her greatest pain.

Now, with a glimmer of hope, how could she not be thrilled? She hurriedly asked, ”Do you have any plans yet?”

”Of course,” Ye Fei smiled confidently and quietly shared his newly devised plan with her.

”You mean pretending to be sick? Thatʼs actually a pretty good idea. Mom dotes on you so much; sheʼll definitely stay by your side,” Ye Yunqiʼs eyes brightened, but then she frowned and said, ”But if youʼre sick, Mom will definitely call Auntie Ruolan. With Auntie Ruolanʼs skills, how could she possibly be fooled?”

”Of course she wonʼt be fooled,” Ye Fei said with a smile.

”But what if Auntie Ruolan also says Iʼm sick? Wouldnʼt Mom believe it even more?”

”How could Auntie Ruolan...”

Ye Yunqi shook her head instinctively, but then she froze mid-sentence, her eyes widening in disbelief as she stared at Ye Fei.

”Ling said you were called by Auntie Ruolan this afternoon. Could it be that she also...?”

”Exactly what youʼre thinking,” Ye Fei said with a hint of pride.

”Sheʼs now just like you, the happiest woman in the world. And it was she who pointed out Momʼs feelings to me. Tell me, if we ask for her help, would she refuse?”

”Of course not!” Ye Yunqi cheered, throwing her arms around Ye Feiʼs neck and planting a kiss on his cheek. ”Bro, youʼre amazing! Yunqi is so impressed with you!”

Enjoying the warmth of his sister in his arms, Ye Fei couldnʼt help but feel fortunate. Fate had truly been kind to him, gifting him with a considerate girl like Ye Yunqi, who didnʼt feel jealous but instead shared in his happiness.

What Ye Fei didnʼt know was that from the beginning, Ye Yunqi had never harbored any illusions about their future. She simply cherished every day she could be with him, without any room for jealousy.
