New Age Of Summoners

’What?’

Everyone, including the tribe leader Deon, was stopped after hearing the appearance of the majestic voice.

It was like they were willing to stop moving, it was like they were stopped by some powerful yet invisible force.

Since they could not move their legs, they turned their heads towards the direction from which that sound had come with slight fear in their eyes.

’Swoosh’

From the demon fox tribe, a young man in black robes flew towards the tribe leader Deon.

”Ancestor.”

As for the tribe leader Deon, he was shocked with the appearance of the young man flying towards him and called him with a face full of respect.

That’s right!

The young man in the black robes was the ancestor of the demon fox tribe who had ascended to the greater world a few millennia back.

Even though there were no apparent features of a demon fox in the young man and the tribe leader Deon had never seen his ancestor until today, he was able to sense that it was his tribe’s ancestor because the blood flows in his body came from his ancestor.

”Descendants these days don’t even greet or introduce themselves to their ancestors.”

When he saw the shocked expression on the tribe leader’s face, the young man felt a little funny; however, he maintained the attitude of an ancestor as he scoffed at the tribe leader Deon.

”Fourth generation descendant Deon greets the ancestor Calden.”

Coming out of his shock, the tribe leader Deon greeted and introduced himself to the young man.

”Fourth generation?”

Soon, the ancestor of the demon fox tribe Calden frowned for a bit and asked, ”So, no one managed to ascend to any of the greater worlds?”

Generally, a king realm cultivator could live for more than a millennium, unlike the cultivators below the King realm who could only live for less than a millennium depending on various factors like their main cultivation technique and body tempering etc.

Since it’s been a little more than a few millennia and there was already a fourth-generation descendant leading the tribe. So, Calden guessed that the second and third generation tribe leaders must have died in the flow of time.

As for how he recognized the tribe leader Deon as the tribe leader of the demon fox tribe, it was because of the battle-axe in his hands that the weapon passed down to the tribe leaders of the demon fox tribe.

”Yes, Ancestor. Second generation tribe leader died when he could not break through into the King realm in time whereas the third generation tribe leader was killed by someone from the Ancient evergreen woods.”

The tribe leader Deon replied with a helpless look on his face as he sighed while explaining the past of his tribe.

”Sigh.”

Hearing that, even Calden could not help but sigh as he looked at his tribesmen who were looking at him with confused looks on their faces.

Unlike the tribe leader Deon, the tribesmen were not powerful enough to recognize Calden as their Ancestor; however, they were feeling deeply suppressed by him.

And there was another reason why no one except for the tribe leader Deon could relate Calden as their ancestor because once a cultivator enters into a greater world from a smaller world or a normal world, they could not return to their worlds that easily.

”Ancestor, how did you come here? Aren’t you supposed to be in the greater world?”

Controlling his emotions, the tribe leader Deon asked the young man in black.

”I am still in the greater world. What you are now seeing is merely a projection.”

To the tribe leader Deon’s question, Calden answered while looking at the unconscious Ajax as he continued saying, ”And the reason I came to this world was to check on you because I felt my statue that I left here to protect the tribe was destroyed by someone.”

Earlier, when the demon fox tribe’s statue was fighting Ajax, it was destroyed by him and it was felt by the ancestor who was currently living in a greater world.

He was concerned about his tribe. So, he sent a part of consciousness using a special treasure from the greater world to check on his tribe.

When he saw that his tribe was still intact, Calden heaved a sigh of relief and looked at the unconscious Ajax who was about to get killed by his descendent; however, he sensed something from Ajax that made Calden stop the tribe leader Deon from killing Ajax.

”Ancestor, it is like this. This young man came to challenge me….”

Soon, the tribe leader Deon explained everything that happened from the time Ajax came to their tribe and how he absorbed the special demonic energy into his body before becoming crazy to destroy everyone in his path.

”Huh? Demonized form? And he survived?”

After hearing the entire story, Calden looked at the unconscious Ajax and revealed a surprised look on his face before saying, ”No wonder, my statue didn’t stand a chance against him.”

”He is a summoner with various elemental spirits under him. So, I gave him the chance to challenge despite the fact his cultivation was very low.”

Nodding his head, the tribe leader Deon explained more about Ajax.

”Interesting.”

The smile on the ancestor’s face increased as he looked at the unconscious Ajax while informing the tribe leader Deon, ”You don’t have to kill him as he will not turn into demonized form; however, if he wakes up, you can consider following him because all those who lived past the demonized state became powerful cultivators in the greater world. In the end, it is your decision whether to follow him or not because you are the tribe leader and you hold the full responsibility of our tribe. Be it growth or destruction, it will depend on your decisions.”

After finishing his words, the young man in black robes walked towards the unconscious Ajax.

’What?’

As for the tribe leader Deon, he was shocked by his ancestor’s words as he looked at the unconscious Ajax.
