New Age Of Summoners

539 Demon king?

As Ajax was in a tough situation with the demon general in the middle-section of the cursed wilderness, the five powerful old cultivators were sitting in the guild masterʼs room and waiting for the guild master to arrive.

”Esmund, I still wonder, how did you survive till now with the anxiousness of yours,”

Amidst their discussions, one of the old men asked the first old man with a puzzled expression on his face.

The rest of the powerful cultivators nodded their heads as though they were also wondering how the first old man had survived with such an anxiousness.

”Thatʼs a secret and I donʼt want to share it,”

Unexpected to their thoughts, Esmund revealed a small smile on his face as he replied to others.

After hearing that, they didnʼt ask any more questions because they knew that despite the fact that the old man was smiling, he was actually very serious.

All of a sudden, the guild masterʼs room became silent.

”Huh? Why are you so silent even after meeting each other for a few years now,”

Amidst their silence, the door to the guild masterʼs room was opened and a familiar voice could be heard by them.

”Finally, you came now, Rae. If you didnʼt show in a few minutes, I would?have just left from here,”

The only old lady in the room stood up and scolded the owner of the voice.

”You have become lazy and came late for the meeting conducting by you,”

Esmund, the anxious one among all the powerful cultivators, joined the old lady and scolded the one named Rae.

”How can the mercenary guild master be not punctual?”

”Where is that guild master, who said he will always be punctual?”

Soon, the rest of the old men followed Esmund and the old lady as they scoffed at the owner of the voice.

Thatʼs right! The owner of the voice was none other than the famous guild master of the mercenary guild and these powerful old cultivators of around the same age as the guild master called him by the name ʼRaeʼ.

”Sorry, fellow cultivators. I had to wait for Rulf and others along the way. So, I came late,”

The legendary mercenary king apologized to them for coming late to the meeting because he was the one that called them to come as soon as possible.

So, he apologized to them without any hesitation.

While flying on the back of the red-eyed bat, the guild master sent papers to these five powerful old cultivar friends of his and asked them to meet him in the mercenary guild as soon as possible.

However, since he wanted Rulf to join the meeting with his old friends, he waited at the exit of the cursed wilderness which made him come late to his own meeting.

”Woah. Our little Raeʼs way of calling us has changed. Fellow cultivators? Haha,” Esmund laughed at the guild masterʼs words without any restraint.

”Haha”

ʼPfftʼ

When Edmond and others heard their words, they tried their best to control their laughter.

”Stop it, idiots. We are not young anymore and canʼt you act according to your age in front of them,”

Rae, the guild master pointed at Edmond and others and scolded the five old cultivators who were laughing at him.

”Also, I wanted to discuss something important with you. That is the?reason I called you to come here as soon as possible,”

Without giving them any chance to reply, the guild master continued talking with a very serious expression on his face.

”Okay okay”

When they saw a serious expression on the guild masterʼs face, they stopped joking with him and sat in their seats while waiting for the old guild master and others to join them.

”Everyone, donʼt be too polite and sit comfortably,”

After the guild master sat in his chair, he noticed that except for Darbaudr, Edmond and others were still standing and hesitated to sit.

Because, except for the guild master, they were not familiar with anyone. Moreover, they didnʼt know how they would react if they sat one like they were equals.

So, the old guild master asked them to sit before saying, ”They will not be angry and of course donʼt think you are rude for sitting along with them.”

Only after hearing those words from the guild master, Edmond and others sat on the empty chairs and looked at Darbaudr with a strange look on their faces.

It was said that the more powerful a cultivator was, the more arrogant he would become and they would also become angry even for small things. So, Edmond and others waited for the guild masterʼs permission before sitting on the chairs.

ʼWhat? Why are you looking at me with a strange face?ʼ

When he saw those looks on Edmond and otherʼs faces, he immediately asked him through voice transmission.

ʼNothingʼ

Edmond shook his head as though there was nothing; however, Darbaudr could guess that it must be regarding his earlier action of directly sitting without asking for permission.

ʼAt my peak condition, I am more powerful than them. So, of course, I didnʼt ask them for permission,ʼ Darbaudr silently thought in his head as he looked at the guild master and waited for him to start the meeting.

There was nothing wrong in Darbaudrʼ thinking; however, it was wrong for Edmond and others as it might bring ire from these old powerful cultivators.

...….

In the middle section of the cursed wilderness,

”Now, this is very bad,”

When he saw the rate at which the injury on the demon generalʼs chest was healing along with his cultivation being breaking thought to the elite general realm, made Ajax serious.

ʼDamn it. I am nowhere near to the dimensional crevice; otherwise, I would have simply jumped into the dimensional crevice and waited for this demon general to die from burning his soul.ʼ

Ajaxʼs previous confidence disappeared when he had seen the scene in front of him and thought of escaping.

If he was nearer to the dimensional crevice, he could have easily escaped; however, it was impossible to escape now because the demon in front of him had broken through to the elite demon general realm.

”Human brat, do you think, you can live after messing around with my plans?”

All of a sudden, the elite demon generalʼs rapid increase in his cultivation had stopped and at the same time, he talked with Ajax.

”Huh?”

When he heard those words, he raised his brows as he was sure that was not the main demon general; instead, he thought he was the demon king Gsrreth himself.

”The reason why I have waited until you come to the middle-section of the cursed wilderness is not to let you back into the dimensional crevice once again,”

The elite demon general slowly walked towards Ajax while saying why he had waited until now and casually waved his hand at Ajaxʼs three elemental spirits.

ʼSwooshʼ

As soon as he waved his hands, three small black orbs were thrown at them.

ʼBefore I kill you, I will kill your elemental spirits...Haha,ʼ the elite demon general laughed with an evil expression on his face.
