Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1569: Chapter 528: S-Class Threat, The Eve of Action

”How many undead are there, and how strong are they?” Cao Xing asked.

Harati replied, ”There are about seven to eight thousand of them, including some Sixth Tier undead, and an Undead Knight Group.”

”We had no conflict with these undead; they seemed wary of my strength and allowed us to leave.”

”However, they warned me not to step into these ruins again, or they would take action against us.”

Cao Xing didn’t react much; instead, a slight smile appeared on his face.

”Over eight thousand undead, huh, that’s quite a force!”

”I was just worrying about where to find more undead for conversion to strengthen the Undead Army.”

”Tomorrow, I’ll inform Duke Baladin to lead the legion to the territory to find you.”

”You should know what to do next.”

Harati’s expression shifted slightly, understanding Cao Xing’s intention, then respectfully said, ”Yes, we will carry out your will.”

After speaking, the Centaur Saint quickly left.

Meanwhile, Cao Xing swiftly pressed the communication device at his ear, dialing Duke Baladin’s communication.

Indeed, after the last battle, this group of undead has started using technology as well.

Upon hearing Cao Xing’s request, Duke Baladin readily agreed.

For him, having the formidable Bloody Army as an enemy ahead necessitates finding any means to strengthen himself.

And converting other undead is the fastest method.

After these arrangements, Cao Xing went to Eliza’s room.

At once, he saw Heli sitting vigil by the bed, observing Eliza’s expression.

Upon seeing the figure at the door, the kemonomimi girl showed an excited expression.

”Lord, you’ve come!”

Cao Xing smiled and then asked, ”Has she not woken up yet?”

”No... Eliza is still in a fainting state,” Heli said in a somewhat low tone, ”but it seems like there’s no danger, just her mind has been traumatized and needs time to recover.”

Cao Xing nodded slightly, ”We have an operation coming up and will be away for a while. I’ll leave the defense of the territory’s surroundings to you.”

”As for Eliza, I’ll have a few staff members take care of her.”

Upon receiving the task from Cao Xing, the kemonomimi girl immediately straightened up, then patted her flat chest.

”All right, Lord, leave it to me, Fei Ying!”

”With me around, no one will be allowed near our territory!”

Cao Xing observed Eliza for a while longer, then left the room.

Contemplating.

Though he had long known Eliza harbored secrets, he hadn’t expected it would draw such mysterious creatures from the fog.

Yet to this day, Cao Xing still didn’t know what secret she held.

He sighed, ”Looks like I’ll have to wait until she wakes up to ask.”

...

...

Time quickly passed, reaching evening.

This was also the first night after the Chenmai Fog Disaster ended.

The survivors were excitedly chatting in the channel.

”Haha! After the fog disaster, there are so many resources outside! I casually went out for a few rounds and found a herd of wild boars, they looked so starved they barely resisted before I took them all down!”

”What’s that compared to? I found a frozen bear in the woods outside the territory, apparently a Level 50 leader creature, yielding one to two thousand kilograms of bear meat, it’s a huge gain!”

”Damn! You upstairs are really lucky. Share some bear meat with me.”

They happily shared the day’s gains on the chat channel.

...

...

Meanwhile.

Outside the Kingdom Border, inside that mysterious grand hall.

Fourteen distinct stone chairs floated mid-air.

Sitting face-to-face on two of the stone chairs was a powerful presence.

This was inside the Watchers’ organization.

And these two were Legendary Strongmen among the Watchers!

While the two Legends were discussing something, a figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere at the main seat in front of the thirteen stone chairs.

He reclined in the seat like this, shrouded by a mysterious aura, his specific features indistinct.

Even these two Watcher Legends didn’t sense his arrival.

Until a moment later, this person suddenly spoke.

”Elder Dark Crow, Elder Han Jian.”

Upon hearing the voice, the two Legendary Strongmen looked over.

And then they gazed with surprise at the figure on the main seat.

”Great Leader!”

”You’ve returned!”

The figure nodded slightly, ”I heard you have something to report?”

Among them, Elder Han Jian respectfully said, ”Yes, Great Leader, it concerns an Otherworldly Lord.”

”This person caused us great hindrance in the last operation.”

”And it’s because of him, we couldn’t save Tasid.”

”Go on,” the Watcher Leader said indifferently.

Then, they quickly reported Cao Xing’s intelligence in full.

On the main seat, the Watcher Leader remained silent for a moment.

”An Otherworldly Lord... able to kill a Ninth Rank Hero, with subordinates surpassing the Seventh Rank, huh?”

”Indeed quite capable, possibly one of the most outstanding among all Otherworldly Lords.”

Seizing the moment, Elder Han Jian added, ”Moreover, this person has consistently opposed the Light Church, repeatedly thwarting their plans, causing the Light God’s descent to be delayed indefinitely.”

”I believe this Otherworldly Lord poses a great threat and cannot be allowed to develop further!”
