Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1554: Chapter 523: Bright Green Jade, Final Stage of the Fog Disaster

After Cao Xing helped other survivors solve the problem of insufficient resources, he went to the Blacksmith Shop and took out a large pile of vines.

Then he called over Du An and others.

Anyway, there were many staff members in his territory. Besides those who were building the city walls and upgrading buildings, many others could be mobilized.

Cao Xing first piled up a big heap of vines on the ground, then said.

”Your task today is to connect these vines and then go to the resource points near the territory to extract resources.”

”Remember, you must not step outside the territory more than two kilometers.”

”I will send a group of soldiers to protect you.”

Polar People Du An nodded solemnly and said, ”No problem, Lord, I will supervise them well.”

For a while, a large number of staff members were busily engaged.

And Cao Xing also summoned the Wild Boar Warriors, having them come outside to ensure the safety of these staff members.

Before long, a system prompt appeared.

Stone +5

Wood +9

Coal +3

...

After stopping for eight days and only depleting resources, the resources began to grow again.

Cao Xing showed a satisfied smile.

Then, he went to the Three-Ring Area of the territory, where two brand-new buildings appeared in the dense fog ahead.

On the left, stood a Training Camp built of solid boulders, with walls engraved with imposing knight patterns.

A huge archway was open, vaguely revealing the spacious training ground inside.

This building was the [Imperial Knight Training Camp].

Next to it, there was another large building with a cold, metallic appearance, more than ten meters high.

A few peculiar stone pillars stood at the entrance, precisely the [War Research Institute].

The latter research institute was where Cao Xing’s real attention lay.

He glanced at its attributes.

[War Technology Research Institute (Basic Level)]

[Armor: 500]

[Durability Value: 50000]

[Arrow Tower Enhancement: lv0 (Consumes 5 million coins, 10000 Mithril, 500 Shadow Purple Crystal Stone for upgrading, with a cap at Level 5.)]

[City Wall Reinforcement: lv0 (Consumes 5 million coins, 1000 Constant Gold Ingot, 1000 Demon Pattern Stone for upgrading, with a cap at Level 5.)]

...

Cao Xing pondered, ”Indeed, it’s not easy to strengthen the arrow towers and city walls in the territory.”

”Just casually leveling up requires so many materials.”

”The Mithril, Constant Gold Ingot, and Demon Pattern Stone upfront are manageable, but I’ve never encountered this Shadow Purple Crystal Stone.”

However, he had heard about this crystal stone from a Centaur before.

Shadow Purple Crystal Stone and Frost White Crystal Stone are of the same grade of mineral, extremely precious.

This means it’s only possible to dig up this kind of mineral at those advanced mines.

Cao Xing thought to himself, ”Seems like I’ll have to wait until the Fog Disaster ends, and then use the Shining Throne to see if I can find veins of the Shadow Purple Crystal Stone.”

Then, he continued to inspect the territory.

At this moment, a woman about 1.6 meters tall, with a graceful figure, hurriedly approached.

Her mature and charming face was slightly frowning, showing some anxiety.

”Gracie, what are you looking for?” Cao Xing called out to her.

Gracie, who was the mother of that young baron.

Temporarily residing in his territory, she was not a member of this territory.

This petite but remarkably curvaceous woman displayed a look of joy in her beautiful eyes upon seeing Cao Xing.

”Lord Cao Xing, I was looking for you.”

Cao Xing looked at her with curiosity.

Gracie gently explained, ”The Fog Disaster has lasted for so many days, and I am worried that Fitz might encounter some danger.”

”I know you have a way of communicating with Fitz, so I wanted to ask you to inquire about his situation?”

The woman’s eyes were filled with worry, deeply caring for her son.

Cao Xing chuckled softly, ”I thought it was something else.”

”Alright, I’ll ask for you.”

So, he directly pressed the communication device on his ear, then switched to Fitz Walker’s communication channel.

”Buzz... Buzz...”

A moment later, Fitz Walker’s respectful voice came through.

”Master, I’m here, please command.”

Cao Xing said, ”It’s nothing, your mother asked me to check on how you are doing.”

Fitz Walker immediately replied, ”Please rest assured, Master, we have encountered this kind of Fog Disaster before and know how to handle it.”

”Currently, the resources in the Baron Mansion are relatively abundant, and the Light Church has not troubled me, so it’s peaceful here.”

”Please tell my mother not to worry.”

Cao Xing replied, ”Okay, I will relay the message.”

”Thank you, Master.”

”During this time, my mother has been bothering you in your territory.”

Cao Xing replied, ”It’s nothing. Soon, you can take her back.”

Upon hearing this, Fitz Walker’s expression changed slightly, as if realizing something.

At the same time, Cao Xing ended the call, then turned to the woman next to him and said, ”Your son says there’s nothing to worry about, and currently there are still plenty of resources in the Baron Mansion.”

The noblewoman also gradually let out a sigh of relief, then nodded slightly.

”Thank you, Lord.”

Cao Xing waved his hand, ready to leave.

The woman suddenly said softly, ”Lord Cao Xing, do you have time now?”

Cao Xing asked in confusion, ”What’s the matter?”

Gracie hesitated, then seemed to make some sort of decision and said, ”I want to show you something.”

”What is it?”

”A stone,” Gracie said softly, ”It’s a piece of jade, which according to my father, holds magical power.”

”Years ago, even an Earl was willing to spend a fortune to buy it, but my father refused.”
