Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 118 - 101: Powerful Queen Blood Spider

“Tsk…”

The Queen Blood Spider’s face still carried an air of arrogance; however, she seemed to have yielded somewhat, “It seems you have a group of loyal subordinates.”

“Even the haughty Dark Elves are so compliant with you, which indicates you, as a Lord, must have some special qualities.”

“In that case, it wouldn’t be wrong for me, Hilda, to temporarily pledge allegiance to you.”

Hearing her response, Cao Xing nodded.

“Very well.”

He then looked at the others and said, “Put down your weapons.”

None of these subordinates had a Loyalty below 80; they basically obeyed his commands without question.

They all sheathed their weapons.

Cao Xing turned to the terrifying and enchanting Spider Queen, and spoke.

“Then, welcome to my Territory, Hilda.”

The Queen Blood Spider bent slightly forward, then bowed to Cao Xing in acknowledgment of his invitation.

He glanced at Hilda’s attributes.

[Queen Blood Spider: Hilda Bloodkiss]

[Race: Blood Spider]

[Level: Level 10, 1533/10000 (First-tier Leader-level creature, not advanced)]

[Life Value: 3720/3720]

[Attack Power: 311~323]

[Attribute: Power 115, Agility 121, Spirit 146, Constitution 124]

[Skill: Incubating Blood Spider (Hatches a large number of normal Blood Spiders of the same level from within, which will crazily attack enemies; when their blood volume hits zero, they will self-destruct, causing a layer of Blood Poison effect to all nearby enemies, stacking up to 10 layers, cooling time 10 minutes.)

Blood Kiss (Sprays a web to drag an enemy close, then injects corrosive blood poison, dealing 133% of attack power as damage; the enemy, once melted, will be devoured by the Queen Blood Spider, recovering 30% of blood volume, maximum attack distance is agility*0.1 meters, cooling time 10 minutes.)

Queen’s Will (Queen Blood Spider conveys the will of attack, putting all allied units in a berserk state, increasing move speed by 50%, effect lasts 20 seconds, cooling time five minutes.)

Spider Web Spray (Releases a large web, binding enemies within it for 3~10 seconds, cooling time 3 minutes.)

Fear Scream (Unleashes a soul-shattering scream, causing all enemy creatures within 50 meters to enter a state of fear for 5~20 seconds; in the fear state, enemy attack power decreases by 30%; for weaker creatures, it causes a prolonged Mind Shock state, cooling time: 10 minutes.)]

[Talent ①: Blood Poison (Contains a large amount of blood poison, adding a blood poison effect to enemies when attacking, continuously burning their skin; each layer of blood poison deals 10% attack power in damage and inflicts significant pain on the enemy.)]

[Talent ②: Queen Domain (Centering on herself, increases move speed of all allied units by 20% and attack speed by 20%.)]

[Satiety: 63]

[Loyalty: 57]

(This is a powerful Queen Blood Spider, who once led a Blood Spider army to obliterate an ancient race, transforming them into the nourishment for the Blood Spider race; if you can elevate the Queen Blood Spider’s rank to Commander level, she will undergo an even stronger transformation.)

…

After examining the skills of the Queen Blood Spider, Cao Xing felt astounded.

Should he say, as expected of a Leader-level creature?

Even at just Level 10 as a first-tier creature, its attributes were stronger than the Second-Order elite, Renice.

Five major skills, two talents, boosting her combat and survival capabilities to a terrifying level.

Whether in group attacks or one-on-one duels, the Queen Blood Spider’s performance could be described as flawless.

More terrifying, she possessed a [Queen’s Will] skill, increasing move speed by 50%, which, when combined with Cao Xing’s [Eternal Power], equated to a 50% permanent increase in the move speed for the entire team.

Adding the [Queen Domain] bonus, it resulted in a 70% move speed boost for everyone.

This was a tremendous boost!

Currently, the team’s speed in the snow was 40 kilometers per hour; with Hilda’s addition, it could reach 70 kilometers per hour!

For both combat and mobility, it was a transformation in quality.

“These two skills are truly impressive.”

Moreover, the introduction to the Queen Blood Spider indicated that advancing her to a Commander-level creature could lead to a more potent transformation.

Cao Xing pondered, “Leader level and above means Commander level?”

But this wasn’t something to consider now, since, to date, Cao Xing hadn’t encountered a single Commander-level creature.

Although the Queen Blood Spider was formidable, her Loyalty was still the lowest among all creatures summoned by Cao Xing.

Only 57 points, not even up to the passing mark.

At this moment, Cao Xing directly took out a [Basic Power Heart] and handed it to her.

Hilda glanced at the crimson crystal in Cao Xing’s hand; in her elongated eyes, finally, a flicker of interest appeared.

“Hilda, use it.”

Without speaking, the Queen Blood Spider lightly nodded, then accepted the Heart of Power, crushing it directly.

A formidable power erupted within her instantly.

Her advancement was exceedingly swift, with no delay whatsoever, evolving successfully in a flash.

Hilda’s violet-tinged lips quivered, “I feel my power is gradually returning…”

[Your Territory member: Hilda Bloodkiss successfully advanced, all attributes increased by 100%]

Hilda’s strength soared once more.

However, even after accepting Cao Xing’s Heart of Power, Hilda’s Loyalty did not increase at all.

Cao Xing frowned.

But never mind; so long as she was willing to follow orders and fight, that was enough.

Loyalty could also be cultivated over time.

With that thought, Cao Xing summoned Yilena as well.

Then he, Liu Muxue, and Yilena all cast spells together.

A succession of buffs enveloped Hilda.

At this moment, a change finally appeared on Hilda’s face, which usually bore a cold expression.

She looked at Cao Xing in astonishment.

“This kind of power… I have never seen it, even before entering the Summon Space…”

“Is this your special quality?”

Cao Xing nodded.

A flicker of shock appeared in Hilda’s eyes but soon reverted to her usual arrogant look.

“Tsk… it appears, after all, you’re not entirely incompetent as a Lord.”

Cao Xing was speechless and before he could say much more, a system prompt appeared.

[You assisted the Territory member: Hilda Bloodkiss in enhancing her strength, Loyalty increased, current Loyalty: 62]

Cao Xing chuckled, finally gaining a 5-point increase in Loyalty.

Indeed, the [Eternal Power] talent was effective.

Even such a proud woman could be managed.

He then called Xia Yanni over.

At that moment, Xia Yanni held Tong Chuchu’s small hand, timidly approaching Cao Xing and the others.

Particularly Xia Yanni, as though reminiscing about last night’s events, her face bore a strong blush of shame and yet a trace of tingling anticipation.

“Master… did you call us?”

Cao Xing nodded, “Yes, have you learned the two Skill Books I gave you yesterday?”

Xia Yanni nodded lightly, “I’ve already learned them.”

“Good, then cast the buffs on us now.”

“And Chuchu, you also apply the buffs on us.”

Tong Chuchu nodded with a pure smile, “Okay, Brother Cao Xing.”

She had heard from her mother that it was Cao Xing who had come to help cure her high fever the previous night.

The little girl looked at Cao Xing with eyes full of gratitude.

Both of them simultaneously gathered a mass of power, beginning to apply talents to Cao Xing.

[Territory member: Xia Yanni successfully cast [Hunter Perception] on you, Hit Rate increased by 10%, Talent [Eternal Power] has been activated.]

[Territory member: Tong Chuchu successfully cast [Firepower Enhancement] on you, Attack Distance increased by 10%, Attack Power increased by 10%, Talent [Eternal Power] has been activated.]

Cao Xing nodded, then had them apply the buffs to all other recruited creatures as well.

The two women immediately complied.

While they were applying buffs,

Cao Xing approached the Mammoth, taking out [Special Pet Food], and fed it a few pieces.

Da Bai chewed on the food like beans, crunching loudly, swallowing all the pet food.

A system prompt appeared.

[You successfully fed the pet: Da Bai, Loyalty increased, current Loyalty: 100]

[Loyalty full, new feature unlocked: Mount System]

“Moo—”

Da Bai lifted its trunk, making a joyful sound.

Cao Xing laughed, then said, “Da Bai, kneel.”

Da Bai obediently bent its front hooves, and Cao Xing stepped on its leg base, vaulting directly onto it.

Then, Cao Xing looked at Liu Muxue beside him and said, “Muxue, you get on too.”

Curious wonder shone in Liu Muxue’s eyes.

She approached Da Bai, gently stepping onto its leg base, seemingly afraid of hurting it.

Little did she know, their combined weight was as trivial as eating or drinking for Da Bai.

As Da Bai rose, the viewpoint instantly elevated.

“Oh…”

Liu Muxue let out a soft exclamation, instinctively wrapping her arms around Cao Xing’s waist.

At this moment, seated atop Da Bai’s broad back, Cao Xing found his view remarkably expansive.

At five meters tall, Da Bai could encompass everything below with one glance.

“Wuhu! What a view!”

Cao Xing felt exhilarated.

A great feat, riding a Mammoth at last!

After experiencing the mount feature a bit, Cao Xing began to raise his Magic Wand, refreshing the state on everyone.

Due to Cao Xing’s significant Spirit enhancement, the [Ice Healing Skill] and [Ice Armor Skill] needed to be reapplied.

After about twenty minutes, the status of all Territory members had reached a peak.

Everyone’s faces brimmed with fighting spirit!

However, this time Cao Xing didn’t send all his subordinates out.

He left two Centaurs and several robots behind for guarding the Territory.

To avoid the lack of Territory Combat Power when facing a possible Ice Nest Monster appearance.

With only one Yilena on guard, it was somewhat vulnerable.

Cao Xing commanded, “Kanter, Kandar, guard our Territory.”

“If you see an Ice Nest landing nearby, don’t rush to destroy it; wait nearby and eliminate the Ice Nest Monster as soon as it appears.”

“Then collect all the items dropped by the Ice Nest Monster uniformly.”

…
