Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 117 - 100: Queen Blood Spider, Hilda Bloodkiss_2

At this moment, Cao Xing seemed to remember something, and a beating heart suddenly appeared in his hand.

It was the [Snow Demon Heart].

According to the system introduction, this item possessed extremely strong vitality and could be used to accelerate the growth of some plants. However, Cao Xing was not sure if it could be used on the Pale Seed.

So he asked, “Juliette, can this heart be used to accelerate the growth of the Pale Seed?”

Juliette looked at the crimson heart in Cao Xing’s hand, with a trace of fear on her delicate face.

But she also sensed the incredibly vibrant life force emanating from it.

Juliette lightly nodded, “Lord, it can. The life force contained within this heart can accelerate the Pale Seed’s growth cycle by three years.”

Upon hearing her response, Cao Xing was overjoyed.

It really could be used!

This surely deserved some consideration.

If calculated that one Snow Demon Heart could speed up the growth by three years, then he only needed to kill over thirty more Snow Demons to fully grow the Pale Tree, right?

Seeming to discern Cao Xing’s thought, Juliette softly spoke, “Lord, the same thing cannot repeatedly accelerate the Pale Tree’s growth.”

“If it’s the second heart, it might only speed up by two years, the third will weaken further, and the fourth will have no effect…”

Cao Xing nodded, having anticipated this outcome.

Thus, Cao Xing first handed over the [Pale Seed] and the [Snow Demon Heart] to Juliette.

He also handed her the four [Moon Crystal Flowers] and [Mutated Thorny Vine Seeds] that he had harvested yesterday.

“Juliette, I entrust you with planting this Pale Seed within the territory.”

“Additionally, these Moon Crystal Flowers and Mutated Thorny Vines need to be replanted. Take as many Ice Crystal Stones as you need from the Storage Box.”

“You are a wise woman. Now use your knowledge to make our territory more prosperous!”

Hearing Cao Xing’s earnest instructions,

Juliette was moved and said, “Lord, thank you very much for your recognition and trust.”

“I, Juliette, will complete the tasks you assigned!”

After speaking, she took Little Nifu and began to busy herself.

All the subjects started their day’s work.

Cao Xing nodded, “I need to prepare for exploration outside.”

He hadn’t forgotten his promise to Old Mel yesterday, to go to Snow Fall Lake to find his daughter, Eliza.

And to see if he could find the legendary Cloud Yak.

But before setting out, he had preparations to make.

He wanted to place the [Shining Throne] that he acquired yesterday inside the Lord Mansion.

This was an epic-level item, though the last two most powerful effects required a Level 4 Lord Mansion to activate.

However, the initial +50 Charm and +10 Luck attributes were quite nice.

Arriving at the Lord Mansion, Cao Xing directly retrieved the [Shining Throne].

[Would you like to bind the Shining Throne within your territory?]

“Yes.”

[Binding successful, Luck Gem effect activated, Luck Value +10]

Cao Xing clapped his hands with satisfaction.

Looking at the throne, one and a half meters wide and nearly two meters tall, exuding a luxurious aura, it clashed with the lowly small building.

But Cao Xing believed that, in the not-too-distant future, he would be able to upgrade the Lord’s Hut to a higher-level Lord Mansion, possibly even a castle or palace!

By then, he could sit on this throne and issue various orders to his subordinates.

The mere thought excited Cao Xing.

Then, he stepped out of the Lord’s Hut again, heading towards the territory’s edge.

Along the way, he noticed the busy figures of the subjects.

The clattering sounds were incessant.

Meanwhile, Dazhuang and the others, following Cao Xing’s orders, began constructing the first batch of city walls at the territory’s edge.

Eight people worked in teams, effectively building eight walls simultaneously.

Moreover, because of the furnace’s coverage, there was no need for much planning when constructing the walls, just building along the territory’s edge sufficed.

At the same time, Assam, Andrew, and others were ready to set off.

They gazed at Cao Xing with eyes full of respect.

“Lord, we are ready for battle, awaiting your command at any time!”

Cao Xing nodded, but before setting off, he had another matter to attend to.

That was to use the Leader-Level Recruitment Scroll that the system had rewarded him with yesterday.

[Leader-Level Recruitment Scroll (Gold): Use this scroll to summon a powerful Level 10 First-tier Leader-level creature.]

(Note: This Recruitment Scroll is a system reward. The summoned creature is of a random type, random race, and random profession.)

…

“Random?”

Cao Xing mused silently, “As long as it doesn’t summon some bizarre creature, it should be fine.”

Then, he directly clicked to use it.

As the scroll in his hand dissipated,

A strong stench filled with the scent of blood wafted throughout the camp.

Cao Xing was stunned, “Oh, come on, I just said not to bring out some bizarre stuff, and this is what I get?”

“The +10 Luck seems utterly wasted!”

A chilling wind blew.

A cloud of blood mist appeared before Cao Xing.

Within the blood mist, one could faintly see a towering figure over two and a half meters tall.

The next moment, the blood mist dissipated.

The figure within slowly moved.

Then, eight long legs came into view first.

Looking upward, a plump abdomen covered with blood-red patterns was visible.

It was a large spider!

Yet, on its spider-like body was a human female with cream-colored skin and scant clothing.

Delicate features, narrow eyes, a hint of smoky eye shadow naturally giving an alluring vibe, and most terrifying of all, eight eyes on her forehead.

She exuded a terrifying beauty!

She looked at Cao Xing, extending a blackish-purple tongue to lick her lips.

The atmosphere grew somewhat tensed.

Cao Xing was the first to speak, “How should I address you, Spider Lady?”

The corners of her black-purple lips curled into a frightening smile, and then she spoke, “Queen Blood Spider, Hilda Bloodkiss, are you the lord I am to serve?”

Cao Xing nodded, “Yes, I am Lord Cao Xing.”

She chuckled softly once more.

She glanced around at the buildings behind Cao Xing, a trace of disdain on her face.

“Tsk… quite a weak territory, it seems easily destroyable, and this lord is equally frail.”

“How about I devour you and turn you into nourishment?”

All the recruited creatures changed their expressions upon hearing her words.

Sarah appeared silently before her, threatening in an icy tone, “Show some respect to my Lord, or I won’t hesitate to cut your head off!”

“Uh-huh~ And what did you just say?”

Faced with Sarah’s threat, even though Hilda was only of First-tier strength, she showed no fear.

Queen Blood Spider Hilda instantly erupted with a terrifying aura!

And at this moment, Assam, Andrew, Renice, and others all drew their weapons.

“Swish! Swish swish!”

They all aimed their attacks at Queen Blood Spider.

However, even in the face of these much stronger beings, Queen Blood Spider Hilda did not back down.

Her limbs bent slightly, ready to pounce at any moment!

Both sides were on the verge of conflict.

Seeing this,

Cao Xing couldn’t help but feel a headache. He hadn’t expected this new summon to be so haughty.

His territory and personal strength could be considered top-tier among survivors.

Yet in the eyes of this Blood Spider, it was deemed simplistic, and his strength was considered weak.

However, remembering her prefix as Queen Blood Spider,

Surely, this terrifying creature had a high status before being summoned.

Nevertheless, no matter how high her status was, if she didn’t obey, Cao Xing had no use for her.

Thus, Cao Xing asked, “Hilda, are you willing to pledge your allegiance to me?”

At this moment, Queen Blood Spider looked around, seeing all those from different races seriously watching her.

The atmosphere grew more tense…

…
