Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 329 - 173: Clearing the Harvest, Benefits of a Master Level Blacksmith!

“Hot springs? Now that’s a great thing!”

Cao Xing’s eyes lit up instantly.

In such a cold winter, even taking a hot bath was a rare occasion.

Being able to soak in a hot spring was a luxury only an immortal could enjoy!

Moreover, when the hot springs opened,

he imagined having Liu Muxue, Sarah, and Juliette soaking in the same hot spring…

Cao Xing felt like he was thinking about things he shouldn’t, so he quickly interrupted his thoughts.

“Ahem! Can’t think about it anymore!”

He hastily moved on to check the next blueprint.

[Basic Level Medical Room Construction blueprints]

[Construction Effect: Allows the construction of a building with simple medical tools and facilities in the territory, which can treat the subjects’ frostbite, colds, internal injuries, and other symptoms…]

[Area: 150 square]

[Armor: 30]

[Durability Value: 750]

[Required Staff: Doctor 0/1 person]

[Construction Materials Needed: Wood*200, Stone*100, Iron*30, Copper*20, Mithril*5, Basic Elemental Crystal*10]

[Construction Time: 17 hours 32 minutes]

…

“Not bad, this is also an important building in the territory.”

“Although thanks to my talent and the warm environment, the subjects’ health had always been in a good condition.”

“But when the number of resource-gathering trips increases, some subjects with weaker constitutions will still get sick and catch fevers.”

“So the medical room is essential.”

Cao Xing clapped his hands on these blueprints and clicked to learn them.

Thus, all the gains from this transaction were reviewed.

The harvest exceeded his expectations.

He successfully received Moses Grass and a large number of Moses Grass Seeds.

The number of Wild Boar Warrior Recruitment Scrolls had exceeded 106, which was entirely sufficient for him to recruit a legion.

Additionally, the number of Ice Dragon Marks reached 260,000, enough to exchange for two Golden Treasure Boxes.

Plus, there was a large number of skill books and blueprints.

However, it was somewhat regrettable that the materials for the [King Altar] were still a bit short.

Besides, the progress on recruiting alchemists and doctors needed to be scheduled.

There were still many things to be done, and not all goals could be met within one transaction.

Moreover, through this transaction, most of the good stuff the survivors had was nearly collected by Cao Xing, and the market needed some days to recover.

Overall, though, if he could fully digest the resources harvested in this transaction, his strength would increase significantly!

Cao Xing patted his backpack contently.

“Not bad, not bad.”

“Now, it’s time to check on my precious yaks.”

He remembered that Old Mel said the Cloud Yaks were ready for their first batch of wool to be collected.

Cao Xing was eager to put on those heat-generating clothes, so he rushed to the [Cowshed] entrance.

‘Crack!’

The door of the Basic Level Cowshed was pushed open.

A burst of warm air mixed with the scent of hay rushed out.

However, inside, apart from the dozen or so Cloud Yaks lying quietly on the ground, Old Mel was nowhere to be seen.

Cao Xing thought to himself, “It looks like Old Mel has gone to rest.”

Thinking about it, it made sense since it was already past 10 PM.

In the entire territory, except for those on guard and the combat personnel defending against Ice Nest Monsters, everyone else was already asleep.

At that moment, Cao Xing suddenly saw a figure emerge from among the yaks.

This immediately put him on alert.

“Who is it!?”

Cao Xing demanded.

An old voice replied, “It’s me, Lord.”

Hearing the voice, Cao Xing relaxed.

With a look of disbelief, he said, “Mr. Mel, why are you sleeping with the yaks?”

Old Mel shook his head with a smile, “Lord, I’m not sleeping, I’m milking.”

Cao Xing noticed Old Mel’s gloves and the small wooden bucket under the yak’s belly, which made him laugh.

“Mr. Mel, do the yaks still have enough fodder? If not, I’ll have someone procure some from nearby villages.”

Mel replied, “Lord, there’s enough fodder, but we should indeed stock up.”

“The weather here is unpredictable. Sometimes a heavy snow would block the roads for half a month, making it impossible to go out…”

Mel sighed as he spoke.

Cao Xing nodded, knowing Mel was telling the truth.

After all, it was still snowing heavily outside.

Whether they could go out tomorrow was uncertain.

This was the predicament faced by the vast majority of commoners in this world.

The harsh weather only added to their already challenging living conditions.

At that moment, Cao Xing took out a handful of light purple tender grass from his backpack.

Old Mel’s eyes lit up instantly upon seeing the hint of fresh grass aroma emanating from it.

“This is… This is Moses Grass!”

“Lord, you actually found this magic plant?”

Cao Xing nodded with a smile, taking out all the Moses Grass.

A large pile of Moses Grass lay on the ground, still exuding the scent of soil.

“Mr. Mel, is this enough to sustain the Cloud Yaks for a while?”

Mel nodded, “It’s enough, absolutely enough!”

“Mixing this grass with hay, it should be no problem to keep the yaks fed for half a month.”

Cao Xing also laughed upon hearing this.

Half a month should be enough time for him to grow another batch of Moses Grass.

By then, he would plant new Grass Seeds, and with the growth boost from the [Pale Tree], soon he wouldn’t have to worry about feed for the Cloud Yaks.

Old Mel asked, “Lord, the Cloud Yaks have adapted to the new environment. Should we shear the first batch of wool now?”

“Let’s do it now.” Cao Xing replied.
