Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 333 - 174: System Announcement, Upcoming Merging Update_2

This was the [Magic Energy Storage Device], and today Du An had already constructed it.

Cao Xing took a satisfying hot shower.

Then he exclaimed, “This thing is really handy, we won’t need to heat water for a bath anymore.”

After his shower, Cao Xing went straight to the second floor of the Lord’s Hut.

At that time, Liu Muxue was still wide-eyed, seemingly waiting for Cao Xing to return.

As a survivor, she had naturally seen the bustle in the chat channel, knowing that Cao Xing had been busy trading with other survivors.

Seeing him come in, Liu Muxue had a gentle smile on her face.

“You’ve worked hard, Axing, come and rest quickly, the bed is already warm.”

Then, she took the initiative to lift the quilt and patted the pillow next to her.

Cao Xing smiled, “Okay, I’m coming right away.”

After speaking, he took off his clothes and crawled into the bed.

In the warm Lord’s Hut, the two embraced and slept…

…

The next day…

Around eight o’clock, Cao Xing and Liu Muxue woke up together.

Several system prompts appeared.

[Attention all survivors, you have passed the third day of the formal period.]

[In your large region, as 100 survivors have reached level 10, the level ranking list has ended.]

[After seven days of the formal period, there will be the first small-scale merging, where ten nearby regions will be merged into one large region, and a new round of updates will be launched, please be prepared…]

[Weather forecast: Today moderate snow turning to light snow, not suitable for going out.]

…

Upon seeing this string of system prompts, Cao Xing had a thoughtful look in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Liu Muxue asked in confusion, “Axing, what is merging?”

As someone who didn’t play much games, Liu Muxue didn’t quite understand the meaning of merging.

Cao Xing explained, “It’s where people from several large regions merge into one large region, and we can go further away.”

“I guess the system saw that a lot of people have died in each region, so it introduced this update.”

Hearing this, Liu Muxue’s eyes showed a look of realization.

She softly asked, “Will merging affect us?”

“It should have an impact.”

Cao Xing replied, “Merging has both advantages and disadvantages for us.”

“The advantage is, there are more people, and the resources in the market will increase.”

“The disadvantage is that with more people, it will lead to a mix of good and bad, which may cause conflicts.”

“But I checked the World Channel, and other regions’ survivors haven’t developed their territories to our level, so the impact is minimal.”

Hearing this, Liu Muxue also showed a smile.

She also knew that their territory’s development progress was far ahead of other survivors.

At this time, Cao Xing handed the three Aurora Knight Skill Books he traded last night to Liu Muxue.

Upon seeing the Skill Books in hand, Liu Muxue didn’t say much.

Instead, she wrapped her arms around Cao Xing’s neck and gave him a kiss.

Cao Xing patted her head and then said, “Learn the Skill Books, and then we’ll get up.”

“Mm-hmm.”

Liu Muxue clapped her hands together and directly learned all three Skill Books.

Like Cao Xing, Liu Muxue also took two or three minutes to absorb various memories.

Then, the two dressed, did some simple grooming, and pushed open the door of the Lord’s Hut.

Whoosh—

The whistling cold wind blew through.

Outside, it was still snowing everywhere.

Just as the weather forecast said, it was still snowing lightly today, not suitable for going out.

“Axing, it’s still snowing, so we can’t go too far today.”

Cao Xing replied, “No worries, we don’t have anything urgent anyway.”

“We can take this time to cast statuses on those Ascalon soldiers.”

Casting statuses on over a hundred people was a big project, requiring a lot of time.

Of course, the benefits were also high.

More than a hundred soldiers with various permanent statuses, combined with the Bonds Skill: Fearless Charge, were very formidable!

Besides, today Cao Xing also planned to use the 106 Wild Boar Warrior Recruitment Scrolls in his backpack to form a Wild Boar Warrior Army.

He also intended to exchange for Heart of Power and exchange for Golden Treasure Boxes and so on.

These were all things to be done.

So, even if they didn’t go out today, they were still very busy.

Liu Muxue nodded and said, “Mm, I’ll work hard too!”

The two of them walked out of the Lord’s Hut together.

Just like before.

Subject Cao Yi, along with the Polar People and Dazhuang, waited in the empty center of the territory.

Seeing them approaching, they all greeted.

“Lord, may you be healthy.”

“Lord’s wife, your beauty is like a celestial being, becoming more beautiful every day.”

Cao Xing was already accustomed to these subjects’ greetings.

Then he called Cao Yi over directly.

“Cao Yi, with today’s weather, can we continue resource extraction?”

Subject Cao Yi replied respectfully, “Of course, Lord.”

“Most of our subjects work inside the mine and won’t be affected by the wind and snow.”

“As long as we clear the snow from the tracks, operations can continue as usual.”

Polar Person Dazhuang chimed in, “That’s right! Lord, we Polar People work regardless of the weather!”

Cao Xing said, “Very well, then you all continue to extract resources today.”

“Cao Yi, you take a group of people to lay tracks near that forest, I’ll send someone to clear out the monsters inside.”

“Yes, Lord!”

After speaking, Cao Yi led Dazhuang and the others outside.

Although it was still snowing lightly outside, it still couldn’t dampen their enthusiasm for work.
