Chapter 133: The World’s Number One Martial Arts Competition? Chen Yan KOs Three!

The players on both sides were like a barrel of gunpowder set ablaze, shoving and shouting as chaos spread across the court.

”Beep! Beep! Beep!”

The referees blew their whistles furiously, but the players ignored them.

Arena staff rushed in to separate the brawl, and for a moment, the situation seemed under control—until Nash suddenly clutched his face and collapsed to the floor.

During the scuffle, Horry had swung an elbow, smashing directly into Nash’s nose—the same fragile nose that Parker had broken the year before.

Horry immediately raised his hands and put on an innocent expression. It was the exact same look he’d worn last year when he shoved Nash two meters into the scorers’ table during the playoffs. His shameless act ignited the chaos all over again.

The referees shouted toward the sidelines, calling for more security. If this continued, the league might witness the largest fight in NBA history.

The crowd was on edge, but fans watching at home were thrilled. They weren’t here for textbook basketball—they wanted fireworks, and now they had them.

At that moment, Chen Yan, who had been pulled aside by coaches and staff, suddenly spun and charged back onto the floor.

Nash had been ambushed. Their captain had been humiliated. Someone had to step up. If Chen Yan didn’t, then what was the point of playing basketball with pride?

He sprinted straight toward Horry, his momentum fierce. Confidence radiated from him, backed by the skill he had mastered: [Mixed Martial Arts (Intermediate)].

Horry sized him up. Chen Yan’s build was lean, not the hulking enforcer type. The veteran sneered, raised his fists in a boxer’s stance, and taunted, ”Come on! Come on!”

Ginóbili slid between them, arms out, pretending to be a peacemaker. In reality, he leaned his weight toward Chen Yan, subtly taking sides.

Chen Yan didn’t care. He snapped a lightning-fast straight right.

Crack!

Horry’s head snapped back. The sting spread across his cheek before his brain even processed what had happened.

Before he could recover, Chen Yan’s left hook smashed into his jaw.

The crowd held its breath, waiting for Horry to fight back. Instead, the veteran stumbled, legs wobbling, and collapsed to the floor in a heap.

Chen Yan had floored him with a simple two-punch combo.

In the commentary booth, Zhang Weiping’s voice shot up several octaves.

”Hey! Look at that straight right—textbook! And the hook? Absolutely devastating!”

If you closed your eyes, you’d think Zhang was calling a boxing match.

Yu Jia quickly shot him a look, silently reminding him this was a national broadcast. Zhang coughed awkwardly and tried to tone it down.

In Guangdong, several national team players watching on TV couldn’t hold back their reactions.

Zhu Fangyu chuckled, ”That kid’s punch looks professional.”

Wang Shipeng nodded, ”Cleaner than your combos, Zhu. One-two and Horry’s done.”

Du Feng grinned, ”Fits perfectly with the toughness we like in the national team.”

Of course, these were private jokes—they would never dare say such things in public.

Over in the TNT studio, Charles Barkley nearly jumped out of his seat.

”Wow! When Chen Yan landed that punch, I swear I saw Horry’s soul leave his body!”

Barkley, no stranger to fights in his playing days, was practically giddy.

Kenny Smith shrugged and smirked. ”This just proves one thing—you should never mess with a Chinese player. You never know if he’s got kung fu training!”

Bang!

Chen Yan’s second punch hadn’t only dropped Horry. Ginóbili, who had leaned too close trying to play peacemaker, caught the edge of the blow. He staggered back, hands over his face, and crumpled beside his fallen teammate.

Two down.

At that exact moment, Bowen—finally recovering from his earlier ”injury”—pushed himself off the floor. He had just heard the impact of bodies hitting the hardwood and turned to see what had happened.

Bang!

Before he could even stand fully upright, Chen Yan’s sharp left hook whipped across his cheek. The blow landed flush, sending Bowen sprawling once more.

Tonight was destined to be unforgettable for him. In NBA history, he was now the only player to take hits to both the head and the groin in the same game.

But for Chen Yan, this wasn’t mindless violence. It was a statement. After tonight, Bowen would think twice before trying to stick out a dirty foot under his landing space again.

Three opponents in a row—Horry, Ginóbili, Bowen—all flat on the hardwood.

Chen Yan stood tall in the middle of the chaos, fists still raised.

This wasn’t just basketball anymore. This was a martial arts exhibition.

Three straight KOs.

Chen Yan’s rampage had an unexpected effect—it silenced the entire Spurs roster.

There was no need for referees, staff, or even security to step in. The Spurs players backed off on their own.

Chen Yan’s stance made it obvious: those punches weren’t wild swings. They were practiced, deliberate, professional. No one wanted to be the next to get KO’d.

The conflict ended as suddenly as it began. Chen Yan had stopped a full-blown brawl in the most unorthodox way possible—by knocking out three opponents in under a minute.

Online, the memes and jokes came pouring in.

”Oh my God, Chen Yan came in and harvested them!”

”Flame Fist warning!”

”He turned the Spurs’ home court into the world’s number one martial arts tournament!”

”Chen Yan just took three heads in an instant—game over in one wave!”

”He really beat the Spurs tonight with his fists.”

”That punch looked like it had twenty years of training behind it. Which Spurs player could possibly survive that?”

As netizens laughed and typed furiously, the medical teams rushed onto the court.

The Suns’ side had it easy. Nash was their only injury, and all he needed was some gauze, a bandage, and a little time for the bleeding to stop.

The Spurs’ side was a disaster zone. Three players lay sprawled on the floor, waiting for treatment.

Meanwhile, the referees huddled at the scorer’s table, replay monitors flickering. After multiple reviews, the verdict came: seven players ejected.

Chen Yan didn’t even wait for the announcement. He calmly walked toward the tunnel, knowing full well that after knocking out three Spurs players, his night was over.

Raja Bell was tossed for choking Ginóbili. Barnes, Azubuike, and Barea were expelled for leaving the bench. Horry and Ginóbili were ejected for their roles in the escalation.

Bowen somehow escaped a whistle, but in his condition, it didn’t matter. Grimacing and broken, he was carried off on a stretcher, unable to continue.

With the benches gutted, neither team had any interest in extending the fight. They simply let the final seconds tick away.

The Suns left San Antonio with a road win.

But the scoreline wasn’t the story. The world only wanted to talk about that last minute—the brawl that turned into Chen Yan’s personal martial arts showcase.

Post-Game Interview

Chen Yan skipped the official press conference but faced reporters in the locker room. Some things had to be addressed.

Reporter: ”Chen, did you intentionally kick Bowen with that dangerous leg movement?”

Chen Yan: ”Absolutely not. I had to raise my leg to keep my balance. When I jumped, Bowen put his foot under where I was supposed to land.”

Reporter: ”So you’re saying Bowen was deliberately stepping under you?”

Chen Yan: ”Watch the video yourself. It’s obvious. Anyone can see what happened.”

Chen Yan’s tone was calm, but firm. The replay spoke louder than words.

Reporter: ”Chen, is it your usual style to use force to solve problems?”

Chen Yan: ”No. Violence doesn’t solve problems. Personally, I’ve always opposed it.”

The room went quiet.

Reporter: ”But... you just knocked out three players.”

Chen Yan paused, then answered with a straight face.

”The scene was already chaotic. Emotions were running high on both sides. If it had continued, it could have turned into a massive brawl that would damage the NBA’s reputation. At that moment, something in me said I had to stop it before it got worse.”

The reporters exchanged baffled glances. Chen Yan was essentially claiming that he knocked out three players... to prevent a fight? To protect the league’s image?

Netizen Reactions

When the interview leaked, the internet exploded.

”I’ve never seen such a method of stopping a fight in my life!”

”In order to stop a fight, Chen Yan knocked everyone down—with tears in his eyes!”

”No problem—if everyone else is on the floor, there’s no fight left to have.”

”KO diplomacy!”

”I’ve learned something today. Next time there’s a conflict, I’ll do the same!”

”Good luck—you won’t survive five seconds if you try Chen Yan’s method!”

The memes spread like wildfire. Chen Yan’s legend had grown again—not only as a clutch scorer, but as the man who turned an NBA brawl into a martial arts demonstration.
