Chapter 106: The Most Conscientious Spokesperson in History Is Targeted by Kardashian

”Beeeep—”

The sharp sound of the buzzer echoed through the arena.

Final score: 119 to 91.

The Suns walked away with a dominant road win, while the Cavaliers took a brutal L on their home floor.

Chen Yan played 31 minutes, shooting an efficient 10-of-14 on two-pointers, 2-of-3 from deep, and 4-of-6 at the line. He finished with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

He didn’t break any records tonight—but he did leave two iconic moments behind.

The first? A vicious dunk that bodied Anderson Varejao.

Ever since Chen’s strength attribute hit [80], his ability to finish through contact had leveled up hard. But the dunk looked especially brutal because Varejao... well, he flopped. Hard. The second Chen elevated, Varejao was already leaning back, trying to draw a charge. But his early loss of balance just made him fly backward like a ragdoll under Chen’s impact.

The second moment? LeBron’s awkward four-step layup while being locked down by Chen. The shot clanked off the rim—and the internet ate it up.

One play on offense, one on defense. Chen gave his fans, and LeBron’s haters, plenty of meme material tonight.

Steve Nash dropped 17 points and 10 dimes. Stoudemire added 21 points and 9 boards. Solid stat lines, nothing flashy.

But the real surprise came off the Suns’ bench.

Kelenna Azubuike erupted for 20 points, his highest total since joining the team. Barea and Grant Hill chipped in 10 each. The Suns’ bench outscored Cleveland’s second unit 47 to 19—an absolute beatdown.

The Cavs’ best bench scorer? Daniel Gibson, with 8 points. No wonder LeBron took 31 shots. His teammates were selling him hard.

LeBron went 16-of-28 on twos, 1-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-9 from the line, finishing with a game-high 41 points.

But it was a classic case of empty stats. A one-man show that couldn’t save a sinking ship.

He watched as Chen celebrated the win with his teammates. Then he glanced around at his own squad—and fell silent.

Postgame Press Conference – Cavaliers

LeBron gave Chen his flowers.

”This kid’s special,” LeBron said. ”I mean, y’all don’t need me to tell you that. He’s got insane athleticism and a smooth jumper. But what stood out most was his shot selection and basketball IQ. He always finds the best lane to attack. That’s tough to guard—especially from a rookie.”

He wasn’t just saying it to be polite, either. LeBron had replayed those two failed block attempts in his mind all night.

A reporter asked, ”LeBron, any advice for a young star like Chen?”

”Stay healthy. Stay focused. Stay hungry. And most importantly—stay true to yourself,” LeBron replied. ”When the spotlight hits, it comes with temptation—money, women, fame. It’s easy to lose yourself. But if he stays grounded? He’s got a hell of a future.”

Those words carried weight. LeBron had lived it—young, famous, under pressure. He wasn’t just talking at Chen; he was talking to him.

Suns Press Conference

Chen returned the respect.

”LeBron’s a beast. When you’re guarding him, the whole squad has to stay locked in. He’s strong as hell—like he’s playing a mix of basketball and football. That’s what makes him so tough to stop.”

Reporters weren’t sure if Chen was giving LeBron props or throwing a little shade.

One reporter brought up the controversial layup:

”Chen, was LeBron’s layup a travel?”

”I was focused on contesting the shot. I didn’t really watch his feet,” Chen answered with a calm smile. ”If the ref didn’t blow the whistle, it’s a good shot to me.”

Top-tier emotional intelligence. He respected the refs, avoided controversy, and gave LeBron his due.

After snapping their two-game skid, the Suns’ plane ride was full of laughs and good vibes.

Stoudemire suggested a round of ”Landlord”—and everyone was down.

Thanks to daily sessions, Chen’s teammates had gone from clueless noobs to at least human-level bots in the card game.

Next stop: New York City.

The Suns were set to take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

At the hotel, Chen dropped his bags, booted up his laptop, and hopped into a couple rounds of Street Basketball—his go-to PC game ever since signing on as a brand ambassador.

It wasn’t just a business deal. Chen actually played the game religiously. Same for his other sponsors—Raccoon instant noodles, Bic razors, Huangjian gum, Yili milk.

He wasn’t just a spokesperson. He was the most dedicated spokesperson in history.

The only endorsement he didn’t actively use?

Dulux condoms.

Not because he didn’t want to—he just hadn’t had a reason to yet.

Chen wasn’t the type to mess around casually. He believed that kind of intimacy belonged with someone who meant something real.

But he had a feeling... that time was coming.

After all, he and Taylor Swift had grown very close since their studio session. Texts every day. Long convos. Vibes.

And tonight, she messaged him:

”I’m coming to watch your game at MSG.”

Next Morning

Chen rolled out of bed, stretched, and checked his phone—only to find his name blasting through the headlines.

And it had nothing to do with basketball.

”Kim Kardashian: I want to date Chen—he’s everything I fantasize about!”

Chen stared at the screen, completely deadpan.

Damn. I got targeted by the juicer...

At this point, he wasn’t even surprised. He was the hottest rising star in the league. Anyone who tied their name to his would get instant clout.

And for someone like Kim Kardashian? Clout equals cash.

Chen didn’t plan to respond. Talking about it would only boost her exposure—and he wasn’t about to give her a free alley-oop.

He knew this was only the beginning. With his fame on the rise, more women like Kim would be coming out of the woodwork.
