Naruto: Orochimaru's Disciple

Chapter 474: Chapter 474: Black Zetsu’s New Plan

Chapter 474: Black Zetsu’s New Plan

Inside the dim base, Black Zetsu was frantically smashing everything around him.

He roared, shrieked, and let out furious screams.

Only after a long while did Black Zetsu finally calm down.

He sat quietly on a stone chair, staring blankly at the ground.

The plan had gone wrong.

The original plan had been progressing smoothly until recently, when the entire scheme began to collapse.

The Three-Tails died.

The Five-Tails died.

And now, everything had completely fallen apart.

Obito’s fate was unknown, and Madara had fallen in the Land of Fire.

Although Madara was already dead and had merely been brought back through Edo Tensei, he had still died without leaving even a trace behind.

That irritated Black Zetsu.

He did not care about the lives of Obito and Madara, provided his mission could be completed and he could successfully rescue his mother.

At that point, even if Madara and Obito did not die, Black Zetsu would lend them a hand and make sure they died quickly.

However, their deaths should not have happened now.

To rescue Kaguya Otsutsuki, the Eye of the Moon Plan had to be executed.

Only then could Kaguya be unsealed and return to this world.

However, it was impossible for Black Zetsu to achieve this on his own.

Although he possessed some control abilities, that was about it.

If the person he controlled had a helper, Black Zetsu would be badly beaten.

So Black Zetsu had set his sights on Madara, hoping to rely on this powerful individual to help him rescue Kaguya.

But now, Obito was dead, and Madara had returned to the Pure Land.

How the hell was he supposed to continue?

One after another, they had boasted endlessly, seemingly capable of punching the Sage of Six Paths and kicking all nine Tailed Beasts combined.

Especially Madara.

He had appeared with an air that practically said, ”You are the challenger,” making Black Zetsu feel confident.

But who knew Madara would be about to declare victory, only to be instantly killed by that scoundrel Kenichi and see his life flash before his eyes?

All that was missing was a line like, ”I couldn’t make Lord Amamiya go all out.”

Who was that supposed to be hinting at?

”Uchiha Madara... No, I must use Edo Tensei on him and continue the Eye of the Moon Plan. But can an Edo Tensei Madara deal with Amamiya Kenichi?”

Black Zetsu hesitated.

The little guy he had once ignored had now grown to the point where he had become a serious problem.

Black Zetsu had never paid attention to the small Kenichi before.

He was merely a student of Orochimaru, one of the Sannin.

Just a nobody.

Until Kenichi grew up and repeatedly interfered with his plans, making Black Zetsu grit his teeth in hatred.

Black Zetsu’s expression was ugly.

Now, when speaking of the strongest in the Shinobi World, Madara and Kenichi were certainly on the list.

But Black Zetsu did not know who was stronger between the two.

However, Black Zetsu knew that if Madara were in his complete form, crushing Kenichi would be no problem.

The problem was that Madara could not be in his complete form right now.

If Kenichi noticed the problem and destroyed the Rinnegan, things would become troublesome.

Black Zetsu had considered directly reclaiming the Rinnegan to allow Madara to possess more complete power.

However, the problem was that he had checked before, and Nagato always had Konan by his side, along with one Pain on guard.

This made Black Zetsu realize that Nagato must have sensed something and started taking precautions.

Everything had changed too quickly.

Black Zetsu could not even take Nagato’s Rinnegan, and he did not even dare appear in front of Nagato now.

Because he did not know whether Nagato would sense something and directly absorb him and kill him.

That would be troublesome.

Black Zetsu gritted his teeth, almost cracking them.

”Wait. That Amamiya Kenichi also has the Mangekyo Sharingan. So, can I guide Amamiya Kenichi to look at that stone tablet, then have him complete the Eye of the Moon Plan?”

A strange thought emerged in the agitated Black Zetsu’s mind.

After careful consideration, it did not seem impossible.

After all, Kenichi himself possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan.

If guided properly, Kenichi could be completely used by him, just like Madara had been in the past.

Then, liberating his mother would no longer be an issue.

Look at the proud Madara back then.

Such a powerful individual, yet had he not still been played like a fiddle by Black Zetsu?

Even now, Madara believed Black Zetsu was some kind of manifestation of his will.

That had almost made Black Zetsu laugh his head off.

Someone like Kenichi, who had always grown smoothly, was exactly like Madara.

Such arrogant people were the easiest to mislead.

As long as the inducement succeeded, no one would stop his plan.

He just needed to wait for the Five-Tails and Three-Tails to revive, and then he could continue advancing the Eye of the Moon Plan.

However, the only problem was that guy hiding in the background.

That troublesome guy.

He might be from the Otsutsuki Clan.

Black Zetsu’s face turned gloomy.

He had investigated that strange underground base before, and although he found nothing, he felt increasingly uneasy.

Who was he?

He was Black Zetsu, the one who had fabricated the history of the ninja.

It could be said that there might be some things in the Shinobi World he did not know, but there were almost no forces he was unaware of.

However, the problem was that he had now discovered an underground base that was completely beyond his control.

He could not even determine who was leading that underground force.

But those strange methods and the opponent’s incredibly strong concealment ability made Black Zetsu extremely uneasy.

The opponent was hiding so deeply.

They must have a grand scheme.

Only by freeing his mother could he deal with that force.

With his mother’s intervention, he could surely suppress the opponent firmly.

”I can’t wait any longer.”

Black Zetsu vanished from the base.

He planned to tackle both options simultaneously.

He would use Edo Tensei on Madara, and at the same time, subtly guide Kenichi.

If both succeeded, that would be ideal.

If not, he would still have Madara as a backup, avoiding a situation where he gained nothing at all.

He hoped it would go smoothly.

He only wanted to rescue his mother.

Could it be that this world held such great malice toward such an act?

If it really did not work, then he could only guide Kenichi to discover that base, letting Kenichi and the other side fight to the death.

That way, his plan might still be able to proceed.

With three countermeasures in hand, the advantage was his.

—--

”This thing is...”

Kenichi looked at the object in his hand.

He had now occupied the Land of Lightning, and the entire Land of Lightning had been incorporated into his territory.

The only problem was that Kumogakure seemed unwilling to be annexed, so they could not be found now.

Kenichi felt that Kumogakure’s ninja had probably already left the Land of Lightning.

The most likely scenario was that they had gone to Konoha, intending to join forces with Konoha to deal with him.

However, Kenichi was not too worried.

After that great war, both Konoha and the other Ninja Villages needed to recuperate and rest.

Moreover, with the fall of the Land of Lightning, the mission jointly issued by the four Ninja Villages was naturally canceled.

Unless those Daimyo were willing to empty their coffers to deal with him.

But now, they showed no movement.

Kenichi sneered.

Those guys probably already planned to act as fence-sitters.

If he could annex the Land of Fire, then he might soon see surrender documents from those Daimyo.

Originally, Kenichi had planned to return to the laboratory today to check on the growth of his clones and conduct a few experiments to see whether fusion into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan was feasible.

However, what he had not expected was that today, inside a warehouse at the Daimyo’s mansion in the Land of Lightning, he discovered an ancient stone tablet.

Finding a stone tablet was not rare.

After all, in this era, some people still liked to engrave things on stone to ensure history remembered them.

But the problem was that this stone tablet was unusual.

In his eyes, there was a pattern on the stone tablet that normal eyes could not see.

It seemed to be a map.

Specifically, a map of the Land of Fire.

Strictly speaking, it should be a map of the area around Konoha.

Because Kenichi had once lived in Konoha, he was very familiar with this terrain, which allowed him to distinguish what the pattern on the stone tablet showed.

It seemed to mark a point.

A strange location.

Kenichi scratched his head.

This thing looked a little familiar.

It was also something normal eyes could not see and required the Mangekyo Sharingan to view.

And it just so happened to be in the warehouse of the Land of Lightning’s Daimyo.

Kenichi could only say that such an arrangement was a bit too deliberate.

It was almost as if it were telling him to hurry up and look.

”Black Zetsu?”

Kenichi thought of the ultimate mastermind in Naruto, Black Zetsu.

In the early stages, Black Zetsu had not shown much remarkable performance.

His biggest impression was his elusive ability to hide and gather intelligence.

Beyond that, he had cleverly guided Madara and turned him into his pawn.

However, due to issues with the character’s buildup, his acceptance among readers had not been very high.

As a result, after Kaguya appeared, many people felt that Kaguya’s oppressive presence was not as strong as Madara’s.

After all, Madara was genuinely strong, while Kaguya felt a bit like a forced setup for later plot development.

”Is he trying to guide me to see that stone tablet and then approve of the Eye of the Moon Plan?”

Kenichi smiled playfully.

He could roughly guess what Black Zetsu wanted to do, since Black Zetsu’s current actions were practically laid bare.

Kenichi felt that even if he did not go see it now, Black Zetsu would probably forcibly bring that stone tablet to him in a few days and make him look.

However, speaking of the Eye of the Moon Plan, it was actually quite interesting.

Everyone would be caught in Infinite Tsukuyomi, and all regrets would be fulfilled in the Tsukuyomi world.

Everyone could even live a life where they were the protagonist.

This way, there would be no regrets and no wars.

Would that not mean the Shinobi World would be at peace forever?

In the context of his previous life, it would be like letting everyone in the world enter a super-realistic simulation game, where everyone was the protagonist of their own world and lived a very happy life.

Such a concept was actually very tempting.

Kenichi even thought that many people might yearn for such a world of Infinite Tsukuyomi.

After all, in reality, one was just an ordinary person.

But in the world of Infinite Tsukuyomi, one was the master of that world, able to live a happy life however one wished.

How could such temptation be resisted?

Moreover, considering the current situation of the Shinobi World, before Kenichi proposed the unification plan, achieving permanent peace in the Shinobi World was almost impossible.

Three Great Shinobi World Wars had made peace seem like a mirage.

Even in the post-Naruto era, peace in the Shinobi World was mostly due to the immense power of Naruto and Sasuke.

Therefore, Madara’s Infinite Tsukuyomi plan was almost unassailable in the current Shinobi World.

Everyone could live a happy and fulfilling life within it.

What a pity.

Those people would all eventually turn into White Zetsu, becoming war weapons under Kaguya.

Kishimoto probably knew this too, which was why he set up the transformation into White Zetsu.

Otherwise, Naruto breaking the world of Infinite Tsukuyomi would be even less convincing.

”Black Zetsu’s plan?”

Kenichi put down the stone tablet and tapped his fingers on the table.

He was thinking about how to handle this matter.

Black Zetsu probably thought he was still well hidden, and not many people in the Shinobi World knew his true identity.

Or perhaps no one knew.

After all, even Madara, who had spent so much time with him, had failed to discern Black Zetsu’s true identity and plan.

So Black Zetsu probably wanted to lure him into seeing the Eye of the Moon, thereby joining the plan.

”Still, I’ll go take a look.”

Kenichi showed a faint smile.

Ninja warfare was a battle of intelligence.

Similarly, Kenichi knew Black Zetsu’s intentions thoroughly, while Black Zetsu did not know that Kenichi was aware of his goals and thoughts.

This was the biggest information asymmetry between the two.

With Black Zetsu around, he could certainly use Edo Tensei on Madara.

Then Kenichi would have to face an Edo Tensei Madara, which would be very troublesome and dangerous.

But if he went to look at that stone tablet and pretended to fall for it, acting as though he intended to carry out the Eye of the Moon Plan, then Black Zetsu might not use Edo Tensei on Madara.

Even if he did, Madara would not necessarily be Kenichi’s enemy.

Kenichi could then openly conquer the entire Shinobi World while preparing for his later plans.

And the most crucial point here was...

The Five-Tails and Three-Tails were both dead.

With them dead, the Eye of the Moon Plan could not proceed.

It could only be implemented once both Tailed Beasts revived.

That would not take too long, but it would be enough time for Kenichi to gain the power to directly confront Madara.

”Shiori.”

Kenichi called out, and Shiori immediately came over.

”Later... no, now, send a formal request to Konoha. Say that I plan to visit.”
