Chapter 144: As the Villain, Isnt It Normal for Me to Kidnap a Village and Negotiate With You?

”I don’t understand what you mean!” Shinno still insisted on acting innocent. ”I’m just a doctor. I came to Konoha because Konoha invited me. What are you talking about?!”

Kenichi was already getting annoyed.

He hated wasting time arguing with people like this. If he did not still have questions about Ancor Vantian, he would have killed Shinno on the spot.

And Kenichi could see Shinno’s plan clearly. To put it bluntly, he wanted to use Konoha as a shield. He would pressure the village with this scene, let Konoha deal with Kenichi, and continue pretending to be a powerless, wronged doctor.

This was Konoha, after all. If things escalated, the Third Hokage would definitely show up.

So Kenichi moved.

In an instant, he appeared beside Shinno and pressed a finger into the side of Shinno’s neck.

That classic anime ”one chop and they faint” was not reliable in reality. The force was hard to control. Too light and it did nothing. Too heavy and you killed them.

Kenichi preferred using his fingers. There were many blood vessels in the neck, and if you struck or pressed the right area with enough force or for long enough, the body could shut down and lose consciousness. He had learned that from Shizuka.

As for the exact spot, Kenichi had no intention of explaining it. It would be troublesome if someone tried to copy it.

People always got fooled by medical ninjas. They looked gentle, kind, almost angelic.

But when they actually moved, they could be terrifyingly ruthless.

Shizuka once smiled and said that if anyone dared to bully her in the future, she could stab them two hundred times and still not kill them.

The scariest part was that she said it while eating barbecue.

She had been calmly slicing grilled meat with a knife, smiling brightly, and Kenichi could only sigh and accept a simple truth.

Women were not to be trifled with.

Clang.

Kenichi withdrew his hand as a blade nearly cut through it.

He turned his head and saw a white haired figure wearing a mask.

He knew exactly who it was.

Kakashi Hatake.

”What a coincidence.” Kenichi smiled.

He had not expected to run into Kakashi here. Of course, Kakashi had no idea who Kenichi really was right now, and that did not stop him from attacking.

A sharp bird cry burst out.

Lightning gathered in Kakashi’s palm, and the Chidori drove straight toward Kenichi’s chest.

Kenichi watched quietly.

Chidori was fast, truly fast, but if you looked at Kakashi and Sasuke’s lives, you would notice something hilarious. Chidori got dodged a shocking number of times. It was like Itachi’s Amaterasu. Flames that never stopped burning, yet somehow never finished the job.

Chidori was deadly, but it did not always hit.

For a brief moment, Kenichi even considered grabbing Shinno and dragging him in front as a shield.

Since Shinno loved playing the weakling so much, Kenichi could let him play it all the way to the end.

But Kakashi lived up to his reputation. The moment he noticed Kenichi’s movement, he forced his aim aside, brushing past Shinno instead of spearing straight through.

Even so, the lightning still carved a bloody mark across Shinno’s body.

Kenichi glanced at Shinno, who was trembling in terror, and actually felt a hint of admiration.

”You really have patience,” Kenichi said lightly. ”You don’t care even if I kill everyone at your base?”

Kenichi had basically spat in Shinno’s face, and Shinno still kept pretending to be weak. That mentality was impressive in its own disgusting way.

But a fight was a fight.

You could not expect enemies to stop attacking just because you felt like talking.

Kenichi turned his head and met Kakashi’s next attack head on, a Fire Style jutsu exploding toward him.

At the same time, Kenichi grabbed Shinno by the collar and vanished in a blink, dodging the strikes from two other ANBU members who had joined the assault.

The moment he landed, three massive fireballs surged in from three directions, moving fast enough to seal off every retreat.

Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu.

Before the flames could swallow him, a fierce gust erupted from the center, tearing the fireballs apart and revealing Kenichi’s figure on the rooftop.

”Who are you?” The three who cast the jutsu wore the Uchiha crest.

Konoha’s police force had finally arrived in force.

The disguise Kenichi was wearing was exposed the moment he dodged and repositioned like that.

”Koji Namiki? No.” A rough, weathered voice spoke from behind. ”Outsider. What do you want in Konoha?”

An old man stepped out from the crowd, pipe in hand, eyes fixed on Kenichi.

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The Third Hokage.

Kakashi instantly retreated to Hiruzen’s side, gaze sharp and wary.

Kenichi took a slow breath.

Being watched by someone at Kage level felt different. It was not just pressure, it was a weight that dug into the bones.

Hiruzen had plenty of flaws, but as a shinobi, he was terrifyingly powerful. He had been called the Professor, the Ninja Hero, even the Ninja Doctor.

When that man turned hostile, even weak willed people would start trembling without understanding why.

”Kill someone,” Kenichi said casually.

He grabbed Shinno by the head.

Kenichi was done with this strange roleplaying game. If Shinno refused to admit it, fine. Kenichi could let him die still wearing his mask.

But before Kenichi could finish the motion, he felt it.

The body in his grasp suddenly surged with strength.

A hand clamped onto Kenichi’s wrist, and an enormous force twisted, like it wanted to rip Kenichi’s arm clean off.

The sudden reversal stunned everyone.

A moment ago, Shinno looked like he was about to be crushed.

Now his face was dark and grim, and his arm muscles bulged grotesquely, swelling into something inhuman.

He looked like a monster wearing a human skin.

Kenichi used the force to spring up and flip over Shinno, landing lightly and facing him with excitement.

”Not pretending anymore, leader of the Land of the Sky?”

”You bastard!” Shinno roared, voice full of rage. ”I’m going to kill you!”

He had endured for years, hiding in Konoha, perfecting his body regeneration technique.

And before he could complete it, this lunatic had come and smashed everything apart.

Hiruzen frowned deeply as he watched.

”Land of the Sky” Hiruzen murmured, pipe lowering slightly. ”Wasn’t that village destroyed by Konoha during the Second Shinobi World War?”

The Land of Fire had even built a town called Sky town to commemorate that expansion.

Yet the enemy leader was still alive.

And he was this famous Doctor Shinno.

”Then let’s see what you’ve got,” Kenichi said, almost amused.

Lightning flared in his palm.

It looked like Chidori, but it was far more terrifying. The moment it formed, a bolt of light tore across the village beneath the storm clouds and punched straight through Shinno’s body.

Kenichi used the impact to break free from Shinno’s grip completely.

Shinno coughed up a mouthful of blood and collapsed, weakly slamming to the ground.

A massive hole had been blasted through his abdomen. Internal organs were shredded and missing.

Kenichi looked down at him, bored.

”Too weak,” Kenichi muttered, shrugging.

This was not satisfying at all.

If Kenichi did not still need answers about Ancor Vantian, he would have blown Shinno’s head off a moment ago.

Kenichi lifted his gaze to the encircling shinobi and smiled.

”Third Hokage. It’s been a long time.”

Then, in front of everyone, Kenichi removed the disguise.

The Face Changing Technique peeled away, revealing his true appearance.

Kakashi froze.

He could not believe what he was seeing.

”Kenichi Amamiya...?” Kakashi’s voice turned stiff, eyes snapping to the markings near the corners of Kenichi’s eyes.

Hiruzen’s eyes narrowed as well. Of course he recognized him. Kenichi had been Orochimaru’s disciple.

The boy had even called him grandfather once.

Hiruzen had never imagined their reunion would look like this.

Kenichi’s smile did not change.

”Third Hokage, where is my junior sister, Mitarashi Anko?”

Hiruzen did not answer.

He took a slow draw from his pipe.

And in the next breath, the shinobi around him moved as one, rushing Kenichi.

They got two steps.

Then they stopped.

A cold certainty clamped down on the air.

”You’ll die,” Kenichi said softly.

Above Konoha, the storm clouds churned, and something enormous pushed its way out.

A massive thunder dragon lowered its head from the dark sky, staring down at the village like a god of destruction.

Compared to that creature, Konoha itself felt like it had shrunk.

The chakra contained within it was so immense that even Hiruzen fell silent.

What kind of power was this?

How did this brat possess something like this?

Kenichi looked at the frozen shinobi and smiled, voice calm.

”Third Hokage, I’d like to make a deal with you.”

He beckoned.

The thunder dragon lowered its head further, black and red lightning crawling along its scales, making it even more terrifying.

”The residents and ordinary shinobi of Konoha are my bargaining chips now,” Kenichi said, tone almost polite.

He understood Hiruzen’s character. He understood his weaknesses.

Faced with this, the Third Hokage would likely compromise, because the entire Hidden Leaf was now within range of Kenichi’s jutsu.

Konoha had barrier techniques, yes.

But would Hiruzen dare to gamble the lives of the entire village on the hope that Kenichi’s thunder dragon could not breach it?

Silence stretched.

Finally, Hiruzen spoke.

”What do you want to discuss?”

Kenichi opened his mouth to answer.

A sword pierced through his chest.

Kenichi glanced down at the blade, expression unchanged.

Then his body turned into lightning and vanished.

The strike had hit nothing but a lightning clone.

And the attackers were revealed.

Shinobi wearing Root masks.

Kenichi reappeared nearby with a chuckle, eyes cold.

”Danzo Shimura... you’re still as shameless as ever.”

Above them, the thunder dragon extended its claws and slowly pressed them against Konoha’s defensive barrier.

Kenichi’s smile faded.

He was getting angry.
