Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 192. I’m the Only One Who’s Going to Know the Good Stuff (1)

Patrick met the eyes of the young Elf in front of him and spoke with a warm gaze.

“Now, don’t worry. I’ll fix all the side effects for you.”

“Really?”

“Yes. First, just do as I say. Sit down, legs like this…. Arms like this…. That’s right, you’re doing well. Yes. That’s it.”

Patrick had the gaunt young Elf sit in a cross-legged position and, bringing his hands to his back, said.

“You can’t speak from now on. You can’t move either. Stay still until I say it’s done.”

“……”

The young Elf nodded obediently.

Then, Patrick began to seriously connect their qi channels and start guiding the other’s true qi.

He had performed Qi Guiding and Harmonizing on Elione before, but just in case, he checked the body’s condition first.

And the result of examining the other’s body was.

‘Not much different from a human.’

The internal structure of the Elven race wasn’t vastly different from that of humans. And when he looked for the problem, he could see it right away.

‘Tsk, tsk, his vital energy is quite damaged.’

In Jianghu terms, it was a mild case of qi deviation.

The overflowing qi in the aura hole was spreading uncontrollably through the eight extraordinary meridians, causing problems here and there.

‘I knew it would be like this.’

He didn’t know what kind of Aura Blessing they had learned, but fundamentally, the Aura Blessing of this world was too crude in Patrick’s view.

It probably developed with the idea that since the density of qi is high, it’s enough to just absorb a lot of qi and diligently condense it in the aura hole.

‘Their understanding of the blood meridians is too lacking. That’s why problems like this arise.’

If he just corrected the flow of this young Elf’s qi, his condition would drastically improve. However….

“It’s going to hurt a little from now on. Still, don’t open your mouth.”

“Ugh-eup!”

Patrick slyly subdued the other’s paralytic acupoint.

From now on, he would forcibly open the qi channels and change the flow. That meant the pain would be on the level of torture.

So, after subduing the paralytic acupoint, he began the Qi Guiding and Harmonizing in earnest.

“Ughhh… ugh-eup….”

“Ahem, bear with it. Bear with it.”

“Keeeeeeut….”

The Elf, drenched in a cold sweat, wanted to open his mouth and shout ‘stop,’ but his mouth wouldn’t open. His entire body was paralyzed.

“That’s it. You’re bearing it well. Let’s endure just a little longer.”

“Ughhh-eut… ugh-eup….”

The other Elves were impressed as they watched the young man endure, drenched in a cold sweat from the pain.

“Was Arios’ mental strength that great?”

“Incredible.”

“Hmm, excellent.”

His comrades were impressed.

‘He… help me….’

Sometimes, it’s better not to know the truth.

15 minutes later.

“Huuuu. It’s done.”

Patrick let out a sigh and removed his hands from the Elf’s back.

In front of him, a young Elf lay collapsed, drenched in a cold sweat and convulsing.

It was Arios, who had just finished the Qi Guiding and Harmonizing.

Looking at the result with satisfaction, Patrick wiped the sweat from his forehead as if he had done something rewarding and said.

“Alright, who’s next?”

At that moment, all the Elves simultaneously took a step back.

‘Crazy….’

‘What kind of Aura Blessing is that?’

‘I heard the sound of bones dislocating in the middle of it.’

Torture has a strong effect not only on the person being tortured but also on those who watch it.

“Yulius. You go first.”

“No, I’m healthy.”

“Derion, didn’t you say you got a headache after you started training in aura?”

“It’s all better now.”

“Me too.”

The Elves actively tried to distance themselves from Patrick.

Seeing this, Patrick clicked his tongue and said.

“Ahem, do you think you can gain results without pain? A martial artist should enjoy pain. Huh? Back in my day, even amidst the pain of torn muscles and ruptured dantian, I felt proud with a sense of accomplishment, thinking, ah, I have overcome another wall.”

Patrick’s words only brought greater fear to the Elves.

Liman, who was listening, said in an exasperated tone.

“He speaks such illogical nonsense so calmly. Don’t you agree?”

Matthew, Isabella, and April, to whom Liman sought agreement, said.

“Huh? Isn’t he right?”

“That’s right.”

“The Young Master always speaks the truth.”

Training = Pain = Accomplishment.

This trinity formula was so naturally imprinted on those who were directly trained by Patrick.

Liman took a step back and thought.

‘I must not be tainted.’

Whether he could actually do that was a separate matter….

“Ugh…. Ughhh….”

Arios, who had lost consciousness, opened his eyes.

“Am… am I alive?”

Having regained consciousness from the death-like pain, he glared at Patrick with eyes full of resentment as soon as he got up.

“Double Draaaaagon!”

Patrick smiled brightly at the opponent who was grinding his teeth and glaring at him, and said.

“Oh, you’re awake. How’s your body?”

“What kind of question is that? I thought I was going to die…. Huh?”

Arios, who had shot up to confront Patrick, was at a loss for words.

His body’s condition had changed.

On the outside, nothing seemed different, but his whole body was full of vitality, and the pain that had been tormenting him was completely gone.

It felt as if his entire body was a perfectly interlocking set of gears, running flawlessly.

‘What kind of body condition is this, no, more than that….’

The aura was circulating smoothly, and his body was in perfect condition. But there was something more important.

Arios moved his trembling hand and muttered in a very small voice.

“Sylph.”

After the World Tree’s condition worsened, the Elves had restrained themselves from calling spirits as much as possible.

But now, at this moment, he couldn’t help it.

He had to check.

He had to confirm that this clear spirit power he felt in his heart was not an illusion.

And then….

A small green girl appeared at his fingertips.

The moment he saw the being with a playful smile, wrapped in wind….

“Kk-euk….”

Arios broke down sobbing and sank to the ground. And then….

“Uh…. Uh uh….”

“Hey. Right now….”

“My goodness… Oh… Oh oh oh….”

The other Elves who were watching this scene were also astounded.

What appeared at Arios’ fingertips was undoubtedly a spirit.

It was a low-level spirit that even an Elven child could summon, but still, Arios, who had trained in aura and reached the 3-star level, had summoned a spirit.

Arios looked at the spirit in disbelief and caressed it with his fingertips.

The wind spirit giggled as if tickled by the touch and writhed. Seeing this, tears streamed down Arios’ cheeks again.

“Ah…. Ah ah ah….”

He had chosen to sacrifice himself for the clan.

But the immense despair of not being able to summon a spirit was unavoidable.

Pain and despair.

A terrible sense of emptiness.

A life with a broken connection to the spirits was nothing short of penance for the Elves.

But at this moment, that pain ended.

A spirit had appeared at his fingertips again.

He thought a moment like this would never come again.

Arios turned his head towards Patrick and….

Thud!

“Thank you. Double Dragon.”

“……”

“So this was why. This was… the reason you helped me even while making me go through that hellish pain.”

“……”

“Without knowing that, I dared to resent and doubt you. Please forgive this foolish me.”

“……”

“I will stake the rest of my life and never doubt you again. And I will repay this grace even if it costs me everything. Arios of the Blue Moss clan, I swear on my clan’s honor and my soul.”

Faced with this solemn and firm oath, Patrick thought to himself.

‘Wow, this is a jackpot.’

Originally, Patrick’s goal was to use the Supreme Purity Heart Law to make the Elves’ aura flow properly, put them in his debt, and gain their cooperation.

Of course, if the qi flowed properly, the side effects would disappear, and their future growth potential would increase.

So, it was a win-win situation, wasn’t it?

But he had never dreamed that they would be able to call spirits again.

‘I caught a pheasant instead of a chicken. Wait, if that’s the case, then this….’

It was an unexpected situation, but Patrick smiled benevolently and said.

“Hmm, you finally understand my intentions.”

“Lord Patrick….”

“That’s right. I came here to teach you my ‘unique’ and ‘secret’ Aura Blessing so that I could return the spirits to you.”

“Ooh….”

What a swindler.

***

Master had said countless times.

When you help people, you don’t do it expecting something in return. You just do it because it’s the right thing to do. Do you understand?

He had said.

And that teaching was….

“Kuhuhu. Master, so this is why you should just help people without reason. Not showing off brings a bigger reward. You should have taught me sooner.”

Greatly distorted and passed down.

[That’s not it. I said that’s not it.]

The master who would have said that was not here.

Patrick first performed Qi Guiding and Harmonizing on all 50 Elven warriors and infused them with the Supreme Purity Heart Law.

It wasn’t an easy task to perform Qi Guiding and Harmonizing on all of them.

But he did it until the end without resting, even while sweating profusely. That way….

‘Elven workers. Elven workers who serve for free without pay.’

He could get his hands on unpaid labor.

No, in this case, is it Elven power?

Anyway, as a result, the Elven warriors were able to communicate with the spirits again.

Words could not fully describe how moved they were.

For a human, it was like a blind man regaining his sight or a person who lost his legs standing on two feet again.

At this miracle, the young Elven warriors expressed their sincere gratitude to Patrick and swore to repay his grace, staking their names and their clans’ honor.

In other words, what this means is….

“Uhehehe. Doing good deeds gets me free workers. Master, if benevolence is this good, why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

Patrick knew too.

If his master were here, he would have foamed at the mouth and collapsed.

But what? What can you do?

He’s not here.

“Hehehe. Anyway, this is a jackpot.”

The first button of the plan was fastened well.

To be precise, it was fastened too well.

‘Today it was 50, but now they will bring the other reformist aura practitioners. And if this spreads beyond the reformists to the orthodox faction….’

There would probably be an uproar.

“Kekekeke…. What? You can’t trust humans? You can’t trust the World Tree to them? Let’s see how long you can keep spouting that nonsense.”

Power moves from top to bottom, but authority gathers from bottom to top.

Could the orthodox Elves still raise their voices in the face of the public opinion formed by so many Elven warriors?

“Uhahahaha. This is the Twin Dragon Sect’s secret martial art, Public Opinion Manipulation.”

[There’s no such secret martial art!]

The master of the Twin Dragon Sect who would have shouted that is not here.

Unfortunately. So….

“Uhehehehehehehe! Fight until your heads burst! Get all divided!”

It means that no one can stop this madman now.

***

The elders of the orthodox Elven faction gathered in a hurry.

Despite it not being a regularly scheduled meeting, they gathered urgently and spoke with serious expressions.

“This is a disaster. The young ones are all wavering.”

“To think that human possessed such a secret art….”

“An Aura Blessing that coexists with spirits? I never imagined it.”

“How is that possible?”

“No, more importantly, is it really possible? Is it not some kind of trick?”

An elder who doubted was nodded at by another elder who said.

“It is certain. I confirmed it with my own two eyes.”

“It can’t be….”

“Ooooh… World Tree.”

The elders were greatly agitated.

It was only natural for their minds to be in chaos as the common sense they knew was shaken.

And someone spoke.

“What should we do then? Should we change our policy so far?”

“If we change the policy, how so?”

“Wouldn’t it be alright to allow the young warriors of the clan to practice Aura Blessing? If there are no problems, that is.”

“Hmm, shouldn’t we do that?”

“For the sake of the clan, that is the right thing to do, but….”

The orthodox elders deliberated.

The reason they had opposed the practice of Aura Blessing so far was on the grounds that aura was a force that conflicted with spirits.

However, now that it was known that aura and spirits could coexist, that justification was gone. So now, the orthodox Elven faction should also allow their warriors to practice the aura cultivation method. That is right, but….

“If we change our words now, the reformists will obviously gain power.”

“K-hmm….”

“Huuuuu….”

“This is a headache.”

This is the problem.

The most serious problem that arises when politics forms factions.

They start to weigh the gains and losses of the opposing faction rather than the right and wrong of the issue.

This is a characteristic of the creature called politics, transcending race.

Even these noble descendants of fairies, the Elves, could not escape the poison of the creature called politics.

As a result of raising their voices and fighting while acting as the highest authority after the World Tree disappeared.

They had, at some point, started thinking and acting for their own faction, the orthodox faction, rather than for the entire Elven race.

Of course, not everyone was like that.

“No, is it really important right now whether we are orthodox or reformist?”

“That’s right. We must make the right decision for the future of the clan.”

Among them, some who were less tainted by the mire of politics spoke the right words. However….

“This is not something to be thought of so simply.”

“If the reformists’ words gain power because of this, we might have to follow their will on even bigger issues.”

“We must not just look at the immediate matter but judge by looking at the distant future.”

That did not become the majority opinion within the orthodox faction.

Naturally, they rebelled.

“No, then, are you saying we should clearly prohibit something that is helpful to the clan?”

“If necessary, we should.”

“Does that make sense? The children of our clan are already asking to go to Double Dragon to learn Aura Blessing.”

“We must refuse.”

“Do you think such despotism is allowed just because you are an elder?”

“Isn’t that because you are not managing your clan properly?”

“What did you just say!?”

In the end, the orthodox Elves began to confront and fight among themselves. Just then….

“Everyone, calm down for a moment.”

One of the orthodox elders said quietly.

As he, who had been silent and observing the situation until now, opened his mouth, the other chieftains fell silent, even though his voice was not particularly loud.
