My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 399: Chapter 264: The Sacred Mark Manifests: The Divine Envoy’s Pilgrimage (3)

Although India gives the outside world the impression of being an ”English-speaking country,” in reality, the prevalence of English is only around 10.5%. This is especially true for the Lower Caste and untouchables, who often don’t have the opportunity to learn English due to economic and social restrictions.

What Li Xiang didn’t know was that Luo Feifei had always wanted to come to India with him and pose as Divine Envoys. Since a Divine Envoy walks among mortals, they would naturally have to speak Hindi. So, she had studied it for a while. Although she wasn’t very good, she could handle a simple conversation without any issue.

Luo Feifei may not have had much formal schooling, but that didn’t mean she was a slow learner. Her acting career had interfered with her education—a problem stemming from her mother’s career planning, not from any lack of ability on her part.

As the exceptionally talented Little Sword Immortal and Little Celestial Immortal, Luo Feifei was naturally brilliant.

”She said her home is in a village called Dalitpur, and there are six neem trees in total in front of and behind her house.” Luo Feifei translated the little girl’s words, adding for Li Xiang, ”’Dalit’ means ’oppressed’ in Hindi, and ’pur’ means settlement.”

The neem tree is considered a ”treasure tree” in rural India, with numerous applications. For instance, its leaves, roots, and fruits are used to make medicine for treating various illnesses, and its twigs are even used as natural toothbrushes.

Legend has it that a goddess once took the form of a neem tree, which is why people in India like to plant them around temples and houses.

”As for that evil sacrificial ritual those men were performing, it was probably some form of Tantra worship.”

Luo Feifei had recognized the upside-down lotus embroidered on the hems of their robes—the symbol of the Black Secret Sect’s Asura Lotus Sect.

”How do you know all this?” Li Xiang asked, curious.

Luo Feifei replied, ”I was in a movie once with a plot like this, so I did some research on the topic. Of course, they were the evil villains, and I ended up killing them all!”

Luo Feifei sighed wistfully. It had just been acting back then, and she hadn’t thought much of it. Who knew she would end up in a real-life version of that story? Thankfully, all the villains had been killed.

The man who had been Frozen was long dead; his blood had solidified into ice shards. Even the best hospital in the world couldn’t have saved him.

”Let’s go. We’ll find the little girl’s home together.”

Luo Feifei carried the little girl while Li Xiang walked protectively by her side. The three of them then left the dilapidated Temple.

With Li Xiang and Luo Feifei’s Divine Techniques, it took them less than half an hour to find the little girl’s home.

And that was only because they didn’t dare to move too quickly, lest they frighten the little girl.

In fact, even without going at full speed, they still skimmed along at low altitude as if flying, leaving eight-year-old Amisha in a state of constant astonishment.

When the pair appeared in Dalitpur Village carrying the little girl, Amisha’s father rushed out of a thatched hut, brandishing a machete. His bare feet crushed the salt-caked crystals on the dirt path. The pinky finger on his knife-wielding right hand was missing its tip—an old injury from when he accidentally cut it with a hatchet while harvesting neem branches last year.

The moment the middle-aged man’s bloodshot eyes fell upon his daughter, his expression softened. The machete slipped from his grasp, thudding into the cracked earth and carving out a shallow pit.

Amisha struggled free and threw herself into her father’s arms, her tears smudging a dark brown map across his chest. ”The envoys of the Shiva God and the Snow Mountain Goddess saved me!”

She quickly recounted the entire story.

”Thank you, thank you, Divine Envoys, for saving Amisha!” Amisha’s father prostrated himself completely, kowtowing with tears of gratitude streaming down his face.

Amisha’s mother, brothers, and sisters all came out as well, prostrating themselves and kowtowing on the ground.

The surrounding villagers, drawn by the commotion, gathered around. After hearing the story, they too fell to the ground in prostration. Some prayed piously, ”We beg for the blessing of the Divine Envoys!”

Luo Feifei quietly translated for Li Xiang.

Li Xiang mulled it over for a moment. Seeing how utterly impoverished these people were—many in rags, nothing but skin and bones—he pulled out a large handful of Rupees and scattered them. He used his Power with such exquisite technique that two bills landed in front of nearly every person.

He had plundered all these Rupees during his time in India, so scattering some now could be considered giving back to the local poor.

Upon seeing the Rupees, the villagers began to kowtow even more enthusiastically.

”May Dharma protect us! The mercy of the Shiva God is vaster than the Ganges River!” an elderly, hunched-over woman cried out. Her torn sari revealed a chest with protruding ribs. She stuck a neem twig into her ear—an ancient ritual to beseech a divine oracle.

”Mother Parvati, please grant my daughter health!” A woman holding an infant tore open her top, revealing a festering sore on her breast.

It was a shocking sight.

Li Xiang discreetly passed a small porcelain vial to Luo Feifei.

Luo Feifei took it and slowly approached the woman. Manipulating her Water Superpower, she drew six drops of ”Spirit Dew Rain” from the vial and sprinkled them evenly over the festering sore.

A miraculous scene unfolded: the woman’s breast healed, the recovery visible to the naked eye.

”It’s a miracle! Thank you, Lord Divine Envoy! Thank you, Mother Parvati!” Parvati is the name of the Snow Mountain Goddess.

Luo Feifei gave a slight nod and returned to Li Xiang’s side. Then, hand in hand, they rose into the air and vanished into the night.

There was a faint sonic boom, and in the blink of an eye, they were gone—more impressive than any movie superhero.

The villagers’ worship grew even more fervent, and they refused to disperse for a long time.

「The next day at dawn」

News that ”Amisha was kidnapped by evil cultists, then rescued and brought home by two Divine Envoys” had naturally spread.

The case was inevitably investigated by the local police, who found over a dozen bodies of men dressed in black at the dilapidated Temple.

Also discovered in the Temple’s cellar were more than ten desiccated corpses of children, as well as Relief carvings of esoteric Dual Cultivation on the cellar walls.

The incident was reported by the media, and many reporters came to Dalitpur Village to conduct interviews. The villagers gave incredibly vivid and detailed accounts. The mother whose infant Luo Feifei had healed, in particular, praised the pair to the heavens.

”The envoy of the Shiva God and the envoy of Mother Parvati are both so magnificent! Of course, the most magnificent of all are Father Shiva and Mother Goddess Parvati.” The infant’s mother spoke excitedly, even lifting her top to show her now-healed skin to one of the female reporters.

The news went viral, sparking endless debate across India. It eventually reached the international web, where netizens discussed it heatedly.

Indians were ecstatic. ”We’ve been saying it all along! The mysterious Armored Warriors are envoys of our Hinduism gods! You all refused to believe it, but you must believe it now, right?”

Someone retorted, ”But I heard the Armored Man plundered your Fragrant Rice, all sorts of precious lumber, gold, wild animals, and so on?”

An Indian netizen replied with contempt, ”What do you know? Since they’re our Divine Envoys, their actions in India can’t be called ’plundering.’ It’s our sincere tribute. These are all offerings we voluntarily made to Father Shiva and Mother Goddess Parvati.”

Many other Indian netizens chimed in with their agreement.

Netizens from other countries were left speechless: ”...” They were all dumbfounded. ’Holy shit, you can spin it like that?’

And believe it or not, many people actually took out their family heirlooms and voluntarily offered them at the Temples dedicated to these two gods.

When Li Xiang and Luo Feifei heard this, their interest was greatly piqued. They descended upon the Temples together to ”plunder” the accumulated wealth.

Well, as the Divine Envoys of the Shiva God and the Snow Mountain Goddess, the word ”plunder” was inappropriate. They were ”rightfully claiming” it.

When they entered, all the devotees and temple monks were overcome with excitement. They prostrated themselves in worship, begging the Lord Divine Envoys to accept the tribute.

In addition to the offerings from the devotees, the Temples themselves brought out all sorts of precious treasures to honor the Lord Divine Envoys.

Naturally, Li Xiang and Luo Feifei didn’t stand on ceremony. They took everything and departed.

After all, if they didn’t take the items offered at these Temples, it would just end up benefiting those sleazy monks.

Hinduism Temples have not only Saintesses but also temple courtesans—also known as Divine Courtesans, Divine Maids, or God’s Wives. Not only are they abused by the Temples’ High Monks, but they also become tools for the Temples to generate income. This is also a high-risk group for AIDS, and many of the girls die at a very young age.

”Representing the gods and walking among mortals,” Li Xiang and Luo Feifei patronized one Temple after another.

Their reason for frequently visiting these tribute-laden Temples wasn’t just to plunder wealth, but to solidify their status as ”Divine Envoys.” That way, if they caused trouble in other countries in the future, well, it was the work of the Divine Envoys of the Shiva God and the Snow Mountain Goddess. Anyone seeking compensation could go talk to the White Elephant.

As they arrived at a particular Temple called Sher Sabha to collect ”offerings,” Li Xiang’s Earth Vein Perception Ability suddenly detected a peculiar fluctuation deep underground.
