Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

The battle and slaughter already stimulated the players’ sanity, and under the influence of chaos, they unknowingly began to fall into madness.

The originally restrained battle started to become a fight to the death.

Defense?

What is defense?

If you kill your opponent before their attack arrives, wouldn’t that eliminate the need for defense!

The desire for killing and destruction surged rapidly in the players’ hearts. They began to break free from rational constraints, abandoning thought, and pursued the pure pleasure of brawling.

Even the two ultimate goals of completing the dungeon and winning for their faction were cast aside. Chaos began to dominate their consciousness, making them want to destroy everything in sight.

The bigger problem is, this is just the beginning, not the end.

The more players were affected by chaos, the thicker the layer of chaotic halo on their bodies became, and the more intensely the shell pulsated.

The pulsation of the shell resonated with Zheng Ruiyuan’s heartbeat behind, amplifying each other and making them stronger.

Wu Chang could foresee that it wouldn’t take long for the players to evolve from being merely influenced by Zheng Ruiyuan to becoming small ”hearts,” serving as mobile sources of chaos spread.

If the situation continues, Zheng Ruiyuan wouldn’t have to move a finger, and all the players will deplete each other in mutual slaughter.

He must find a way to stop all of this.

He manipulated his True Self, took out the Loud Horn, and blew it hard.

”Item Skills: Sound of Inspiration”

”Skill Description: Blow the horn to make the selected target break free from a mental control status, forcibly clear their mind, and enter an inspired state. The clarity effect is dependent on the inspiration of the user.”

”Note: If the mental control level the target is under is equal to or greater than B-Level, there is a chance they will fall into chaos after forced awakening, ignoring friend or foe and launching attacks. Please use with caution.”

Under the effect of the horn’s sound, the chaotic halo on the players’ bodies shattered, allowing them to briefly break free from ability control and wake up.

Ignoring a couple of unlucky ones who fell into another kind of chaos, Wu Chang’s main body waved the bat in his hand, the end of the bat pointing towards Zheng Ruiyuan, shouted:

”She is using the power of the Evil God to throw everyone into chaos, we must deal with her first!”

The players showing up in the Silent Route are mostly max-level players with a certain level of insight and knowledge.

The moment they woke up from chaos, they realized their strange behavior just now. With Wu Chang’s reminder, they easily identified the instigator of this change, Zheng Ruiyuan.

She must be eliminated, otherwise everyone will die!

Not only did Wu Chang’s faction of players think this way, but even the players originally siding with the Gao Mu Country Navy and Mid Country had this thought flash through their minds too.

Because Zheng Ruiyuan’s ability had also affected them just now.

Fighting with players from other factions is merely to contend for faction wins and gain extra dungeon completion, not a life-and-death feud.

But Zheng Ruiyuan, is genuinely wishing for all players to die.

At this moment, except for the players originally from the Peaceful Sect, all players unified in their goal and rushed towards Zheng Ruiyuan.

Zheng Ruiyuan accepted all comers, clasping her palms together to create a wall of light, separating the followers of the New Cosmos Sect from the other players.

In the earlier event where chaos authority affected players, by inducing chaos in players’ hearts, she absorbed enough energy to strengthen the heart-like phantom representing chaos authority behind her.

Her current capabilities are sufficient to end the battle on her own.

She only needed to fend off everyone’s attacks and use the authority again, and it wouldn’t take long before the players completely fall into chaos.

However, she didn’t notice that a certain traitor was also grouped on the side where the New Cosmos Sect was.
